I indulged myself with a Coco, one of their signature martinis ... coconut rum, coconut vodka, who know what else. Delicious! I had two.
We shared an amazing Endive salad and a cold avocado/cucumber soup garnished with crab. Yummy!
Since we were both in the mood for "comfort food", we both had Schnitzel. Mine made with veal and my friend's, chicken.
Crispy and very flavorful. The meat was not over cooked and was moist and tender.
For desert, they brought out a large plate with "Happy Birthday" written in Raspberry Coulis. This is our favorite and best restaurant to eat at in PS. The food is absolutely the best and we have tried numerous items on the menu. The service is always great and they are very friendly. The ambience is very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone that visits PS. A visit in PS without a stop at Johannes just wouldn't be the same. Johannes deserves 5 stars all across the board. All the food is great but my favorite item is the Escargot. This trip I also had the Wiener Schnitzel and it was delicious. Great food & drink with a very lively dining room. The dining room can be very loud; so dining early or very late might be a good idea if you want a quiet dinner.
The servers are always courteous and knowledgeable - my only complaint; I've repeatedly experienced inconsistent service due to a lack of adequate coverage for the number of seated tables.

The food is always excellent and the service is generally attentive without being over-bearing. We brought friends here and enjoyed an excellent meal. The only issue is that it can get quite loud in the front room when it is packed (as it was on this night). So conversations can get quite difficult when the restaurant is full. The other areas of the restaurant probably aren't affected as much by the noise. We loved the Weiner Schnitzel, the soup, and the smoked trout.
The strudel and the homemade gelatos were also terrific.
