Although Joey Gerard’s may not include all of the interior elements typically found in a classic supper club, guests will enjoy many nostalgic features with a modern spin. The interior of Joey Gerard’s includes a warm and comfortable atmosphere with high vaulted ceilings, textured wallpaper, plantation window blinds, patterned drapes, tropical green leaf carpet, large period light fixtures and lamps, plush black leather booths and black and white photos of people enjoying themselves in restaurants and bars from late 50s and early 60s.

Is that correct? Also, how do I redeem the "rewards"? I have had this card since you opened your place in Mequon. Anyway, I do love the place. Always had good service and enjoy the friendly atmosphere."

  • "I've chosen Joe Gerard's as my restaurant of choice for all occasions. The best part is the reception I get at the front desk and wondering which of the great servers will be at my table. The tastes vary, which is at it should be. Even the Green Goddess dressing for the relish tray will be nuanced with a tad bit more taste of this or that, depending on who prepared it. The steaks are so tasty, love the seafood (have had scallops, shrimp and lobster). Sometimes I want the chopped salad to start, may have a bit of dessert. Ever so often I have a glass of wine and I've enjoyed a Brandy Alexander. Oooh, the loaded baked potato. I digress. My point is if you want a fish fry or a sandwich or a full meal, Joey Gerard's is the best."

Mentioned it, and our waitress surprised us at the end of our meal with two glasses of champagne and an extra dessert. What a wonderful way to be treated!! We have had the best meals of our lives at Bartolotta Restaurants, and will continue to dine there for our special occasions."

  • "This restaurant is amazing and has very quickly become our favorite place to eat. On our most recent visit, I made a reservation in advance via OpenTable and requested that someone from the hotel call me in advance to work out the details of me proposing to my girlfriend. I got the phone call I asked for, and we worked out all of the details. When we arrived, a quiet booth where we were able to sit close was waiting for us. The staff that night was amazing. Our waitress, Maggie, was great. The food was scrumptious. And she said YES! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will tell everyone who asks that they ought to go to Joey Gerard's in Mequon."

Our sever Ann was excellent and attentive, food was very good, I had the Beef Wellington and it was excellent and properly cooked as requested AND the right temperature. The atmosphere was comfortable and the noise level was moderate--it was a Monday night so this might be expected. We would recommend Joey Gerard's-Mequon for a special occasion or with a group."

  • "The Monday special short ribs were the best I have ever had; rich and flavorful. Trout almondine was excellent. Lamb chops (3) were cooked to perfection: medium rare without asking. Portions ample (or more than, although we had a 20 year old who ate like a horse). Popovers sensational. Cindy our server was warm, friendly and fun. I am surprised that this Bartolotta's has received some bad reviews. I am critical and this experience was outstanding."

This , of course, disrupted the flow of the meal. Although the server did apologize and was quite courterous, the delay prevented complete enjoyment of an otherwise very enjoyable outing.   • "This was our third visit, and our last. Steak was ordered medium rare, was medium well at best. Salmon was raw in the center. Schaum torte was rubber! Pointed all the deficiencies to our waiter. Got an "I am sorry." A cocktail was not included on our bill. Pointed this out and he was quick to fix THAT mistake! Sooo disappointed!"

  • "The hostess kindly turned down the music, so my hearing impaired wife could hear the table conversation. Wait staff was quite patient as we took our time ordering our dinners, as we caught up on news with our out of town guests. Pace of service was good and our beverages were constantly refreshed. My wife's prime rib was cold, but she did not want to send it back and hold up the rest of the group from eating. We lingered after desert and coffee without any pressure to leave. It wasn't busy and the table wasn't needed for another party. Besides the generous tip we had added to the credit card, we left an extra $20 on the table when we departed."

  • "This is one of my favoutite restaurants in Milwaukee. We chose it to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary as we like it so much. We were even surprised with champagne to mark the occasion. The food is always excellent and our server, Allie, was terrific as usual. Our lamb chops and steak were tender and delicious. One is spoiled by choice as the menu is extensive with something for everyone."

  • "This was our 2nd time at Joey Gerard's and we thought this would be the perfect place for an evening with friends who are shortly moving away. Although there were many open tables, we were shown to a table in a loud busy area. Joey Gerard's prides itself on being a traditional supper club with relish trays, etc. The relish tray for 4 people had only one green onion and a small cup of dip. The waiter brought the wrong sauce for my wife's steak, forgot sour cream for my potato and melted butter for the lobster. He also was not very attentive with clearing plates. Three of us had the supper club option which included dessert but he did not remember that when he brought the dessert menu. One bright spot - they honored an expired coupon."

  • "This was our 3rd visit and most likely last. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was 5 relatively small shrimps for $13. While my steak was good it was not worth the price. Service was slow, nearly 30 minutes between salads and main course. Many places to choose from in milwaukee area, suburbs or downtown, that offer a much better value and experience for the money."
