Joey Gerards was booked appropriately, no crowding of tables. The food choices were incredible, and the meals done very well, pretty plates and tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.
Would definately go again! Would like to try it on a regular night.
Open table is wonderful, not only is the ease of booking fantastic, but you have a copy of your reservation in hand. Easy, quick and reliable. They also called us days before to confirm the reservation.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother Winner from Joe BartolottaThis was our third visit to Joey Girard's and again, we were very happy with the experience. Mr. Bartolotta has succeeded in bringing back the 60's supper club feel with the relish dish and several lazy susan options. The menu is somewhat limited but has offerings in all categories. This visit, I chose the chicken and rib combo (1/2 rack of ribs and 1/2 broasted chicken) and ended up taking half of my plate home. The ribs, while not the fall-off-the-bone kind that I prefer, were done just right and the sauce was delicious--not too tangy or spicy, but very tasty. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the skin was not too thick, which sometimes can happen when broasted. Service is exceptional. We've been to Greendale three times - each time with some error in our order or slip in service. This was the first time that my steak was prepared perfectly and it was served hot! I ordered the Steak Diane medium and it came out perfect...just pink in the inside. I do not mind drinking well or city water, but when it does not taste good you should serve something bottled. We started with the chopped salad but eventhough there was a lot of veggies, beans, eggs the overall taste was bland. Maggiano's is much better. My husband ordered the Steak Diane. I wanted too, but I do not like a lot of pepper so I chickened out. This was a great dish! The steak was tender and the sauce neither too peppery nor mustardy. My Top Sirloin was not as tender and was a little disappointing, but the cauliflower and breadcrumbs was delish.

Our servers Maggie and Courtney were professional, pacing the meal perfect, even offering wine pairings, which we didn't choose - opted for cocktails instead. The menu offerings were extensive. We had the Raw Beef and onions for our appetizer. The beef was by far the sweetest I've ever had. My husband ordered the Prime Rib which he stated it was the best he's ever eaten. My bone in filet was charred perfectly, with a medium rare center. Again, one of the best steaks I've had as well. Two days after our meal, we were still discussing how fantastic the whole experience was.

The waitress was great at helping all three of my kids to feel comfortable. The food was great...kids' meals were plenty big, my wife's filet was done perfectly, and my fish fry was good. This place won't blow you away (it's not Sanford or Lake PArk Bistro), and the prices are steep. But the experience is fun and the food is good. The only thing that I would change, is I would have some creative updated dinner twists either on the menu or offered with the specials. We went on a Sunday evening. It was busy, but still quiet enough for conversation. The first visit was perfection from beginning to end. The visit Friday lacked in service. I actually send a message from home. I told a friend about the wonderful service and atmosphere and she was anxious to try it out with me. The service was lacking. I went into some detail in my other letter but she spent no time at all to talk about specials or list desserts at the end of the meal. We could have been easily tempted by the shaum torte, but only knew about it from neighboring table as we were leaving. I hate when empty glasses and dishes are not removed.
