When there was a question about any item, the server was very informational about the ingredients and how it is prepared. When one item was not exactly what was requested, mangement was very helpful in correcting the issue. The service was top notch and the prices were very reasonable. From the incredible service (extremely friendly and very helpful when ordering) to the relish tray with green goddess dip and cracker/bread basket, this is a blast from the past updated to accomodate foodies. The specialty drink offerings are excellent and nearly all liquers used are distilled right here in Wisconsin. Old favorites like Wisconsin Old Fashioned, Harvey's Wallbanger and Sloe Gin Fizz grace the menu. Prime Rib specials and excellent steaks, including a wonderful bone-in filet mignon, also make this an enjoyable trip down memory lane. There were four of us for dinner and although the food was high quality and well prepared everything was served warm, versus hot. The soup, the entrees, and even the coffee was room temperature. Since the food temp was consistent for all four of us, we did not comment to our wait staff but rather believed the food may have been sitting in the kitchen for a bit before being served.

This was our 3rd time at this restaurant and my filet that I ordered medium was very very light pink and the texture was odd and a little dry. There was lots of free public parking as it is located on the north end of of the quaint strip of local shops in downtown Greendale. Our first blush inside is that this is a place anyone can go dressed business casual to a suit and tie (most customers were of the casual dress). Our second blush was that it was a lot bigger than we had expected with some very nice rooms including a skylight room. Very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere with the great service that we have come to know over the years from every Bartolotta restaurant! I enjoyed the baked whitefish with steamed Broccoli ($22) while my family enjoyed the French dip sandwich ($15). We found it be an outstanding experience from the time we were seated at our comfortable booth to the dessert. My husband and I both had the prime rib; each was cooked to perfection. The salads had a unique flavor and couldn't have been made with fresher ingredients.
