Although Joey Gerard’s may not include all of the interior elements typically found in a classic supper club, guests will enjoy many nostalgic features with a modern spin. The interior of Joey Gerard’s includes a warm and comfortable atmosphere with high vaulted ceilings, textured wallpaper, plantation window blinds, patterned drapes, tropical green leaf carpet, large period light fixtures and lamps, plush black leather booths and black and white photos of people enjoying themselves in restaurants and bars from late 50s and early 60s.
The vibe at Joey Gerard’s embraces a casual, family-dining experience. Combining classic supper club menu options, value-oriented specials, classic cocktails and ice cream drinks make Joey Gerard’s the perfect community gathering place.

Diner Reviews
  • "As you would expect from the Bartolotta group, Joey Gerard's is dining very well done. The format at "Joey's" provides an updated version of the traditional Wisconsin "Supper Club" with delicious food, excellent service and a relaxing yet semi-formal atmosphere."

  • "The four of us enjoyed another delicious meal and great service at Joey Gerard's in Greendale. We all love its supper club atmosphere. Our dinners (French Onion soup, house salad, Ceaser salad, salmon and steaks) were impeccable. After-dinner drinks and my brownie hot fudge sundae topped it all off. Service was very attentive but not disruptive. I'd highly recommend this place for a special occasion or just dining with good friends."

  • "Our first time eating here so did not know what to expect. As stated above everything was outstanding!! The food was delicious, even enjoyed the leftovers the next day. Would definitely go here again!"

  • "As always the food and friendly staff was excellent. I love the ambience of the restaurant. Reminds me of an original supper club."

  • "We love the supper club vibe going on here. The old black and white celebrity photographs on the wall reinforce the feel of a bygone era, but the restaurant decor is modern, while still evoking an earlier time. The relish tray is a fun, nostalgic way to start the meal. And the schaum torte is not to be missed - after all it was invented in southeastern Wisconsin! Our drinks and entrees were varied, well prepared and delicious. We chose this as the place to have dinner with our daughter, future son-in-law and her future in-laws just a few days before the wedding. It was a great way to launch the festivities!"

  • "why does the hostess put other patrons right next to you when the place is almost empty?"
    Dined on 6/30/2014
  • "The ambiance is just what you feel a supper club of the 40's and 50's should be. Food was outstanding. We asked our server to pass on our compliments to the Chef and he came to our table to thank us. Just a wonderful dining experience."
    Dined on 6/30/2014
  • "The food was good, but service was slow and inattentive. Although they are open for brunch, they did not seem organized. The outdoor patio was lovely."
    Dined on 6/29/2014
  • "Excellent food and service is top notch. Jason our waiter really went out of his way for us. Had a problem with one of our meals, but he made sure it was corrected. Great for a special occasion or just when you want a great meal."
    Dined on 6/29/2014
  • "The steaks were excellent. Are haystack onion strings were cold and our server forgot to order our mushrooms, but both items were quickly and apologetically taken care of. We would definitely return."

  • "Another great meal at Joey Gerard's. We've dined there two other times with friends (one "double date" and one larger birthday party), so it was not a hard decision when we were picking where to celebrate our wedding anniversary this year. Loved that our waitress was able to swap out the house-made Goddess dressing with the dressing of our choice with the relish tray, as my husband has an aversion to relish. Also, love that you can add a soup or salad and choice of two desserts to your steak (or steak combo) entree for only a $8.95 more. The Old Fashioneds were also great, and the cherries seem to have a little something extra in them. We'll definitely be back, as we want to tackle the sandwich menu. Our server, Sarah, was also great!"

  • "Steaks were good, potatoes were cold and not fully done. Service was just okay- the waitress had a sing song voice and wasn't really on point the whole time. Also the food came out one plate at a time so some of our group were waiting to eat until the others got their food which was strange. 5th time dining here and I am sure I will go back but it still needs some more attention to detail."

  • "Bartolotta always serves up a wonderful meal no matter what location."

  • "Had our first fish fry at Joey Gerards and would care to say it will be our last fish fry. The fish was very fishy and over fried. The potato pancakes were cold and rubbery. Our server was wonderful and the dessert was outstanding. The main meal was just not good at all. This is our second visit here and the first time all of the food was incredible that is why we were disappointed with this meal. Will we come here again-most likely-just won't get the fish."

  • "The French Onion Soup was excellent. The fish was just ok. I have eaten here before, and everything was great."

  • "This was my first time and I will definitely be back. There were four of us and we all loved our meals. Our sever Marissa was excellent. I totally recommend this place. Great steaks, seafood, soup and their bread basket all were fabulous. And bananas foster for dessert, yum."

  • "We took our friends to Joey Gerard's to celebrate their recent wedding. Our meals were fantastic and the drinks were excellent and STRONG! Service was great! Joe Bartolotta should be proud of this GEM in downtown Greendale! LOVE IT!"

  • "Food and service were superb. Could not have been better. My husband and I both had the 12-oz. filet mignon. Both were cooked a perfect medium with a great sear on the outside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The Joey's overstuffed potato was delicious. I also had the asparagus and button mushrooms. Both were cooked perfectly. We took some schaum torte home for dessert and greatly enjoyed as it melted in our mouths. The atmosphere is upscale, yet comfortable. The staff were great. Joey Gerard's is a great addition to the Village of Greendale!!"

  • "For a top end restaurant, we shouldn't have to remind the waitress to take our dirty plates, refill our water, and refresh my 90 year old father's coffee. The waitress was condescending to my father. She wouldn't explain the sauces to him (he had forgotten his glasses). Great food. Terrible service, especially considering the premium prices"

  • "Joey Gerard's is perfect for the special occasion celebration dinner! Romantic Italian atmosphere. We asked for a glass of White Moscato wine and ended up with a house blend of White Zin, Moscato & Lambrusco? It was okay, but not what we expected. The fresh Vegetable appetizer with Green Goddess dressing (on the house)- perfect starter along with the fresh warm rolls. Loved the French onion soup in the baked crock. Baked potato, Cauliflower with breadcrumbs and Petite filet was done to medium perfection. Barbecued Ribs and French fries were very flavorful and tender. Coleslaw was a bit vinegary and could use a recipe tuneup. We would definitely be back again for the food. Wait staff was a little understaffed and over worked but very kind."

  • "This was our first time there. We were celebrating our 42nd Anniversary. We were greeted and seated and the menu was great. The ribs were to die for and my husband had a steak and shrimp combo and didn't even need a steak knife to cut it. We will be back, the atmosphere was like being at home on a special occasion with the dinning room all set to go. The dessert was making us crave for more for good. Very excellent choice we made."

  • "We took my parents out for their 55th wedding anniversary, so folks in their 70's, plus folks in their 50's, plus a 20-something. The ambience and music were just right for my parents. The food was superb. Our waiter, Monica, was so nice - chatting with my parents about how they'd live in Greendale for decades, etc. A free dessert with a candle for them, photo ops - - everything was really perfect."

  • "my group visited JG's after a golf outing at Tuckaway in Franklin. The hostess was accommodating, our server was friendly and knowledgeable without "over doing" the service for a group of fellas out for a good time. Awesome food at the right price point for Greendale. We'll be back soon!"

  • "Good fish fry I try one out each time I'm in the area Would not recommend potato pancakes - greasy & pretty much flavorless On the other hand - tried & loved the green goddess ☺️"

  • "Very delicious and pricey meal. Definitely a nicer restaurant. My petite filet mignon was $32. Caesar salad was amazing. My date and I loved this place, but it is very expensive. total bill with tip was 95 dollars and we left full, but not over stuffed. Overall, just a very good meal, great service as well."

  • "Husband's steak and my fish and zucchini were terribly salty. The best thing was the Brandy Alexander I had for dessert! Waitress also brought us a Shaum Torte to split with a candle because it was our anniversary. $70 for plus add a tip...I expected better. Waitress was great, food was meh. Just go there for a drink!"

  • "First time dining with my wife for our anniversary. Staff was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was also very pleasing. Service was prompt. Food was excellent, some of the best I have had. Steaks were prepared cooked exactly as ordered. Can't beat the fact the raw beef on onions are on the menu, my love of this likely hints at my age. The only flaw in our experience was the rings on the table top from the previous diners drinks. I noticed them immediately when we were seated. It appeared our server saw them, but I cannot be sure. I would still dine again without hesitation and bring friends."
