My husband and I enjoyed the Friday fish fry. Beer battered cod is fresh and hot. Not waiting for an hour in a deep fryer. Choice of fries or potato pancakes and a sweet creamy coleslaw. Excellent small rye bread accompanies the FF. We always enjoy the rolls and relish tray to begin our dinner experience. Jeighsen, our server, was courteous, attentive, and friendly. Our big surprise was a complimentary strawberry schaum torte which definitely capped the evening with a sweet treat.

Relish and roll/cracker basket came after our soup. Our water glasses were always empty. Service was fair at best. We ordered 1 beef Wellington on one steak, both were served without steak knives. Our server saw me trying to cut my Wellington with a butter knife and came by and asked if I would like a steak knife, really? Wellington was dry and under seasoned. My husband and I don't go out that much but when we do we expect everything to be top notch. Get what we paid for. Drinks were the best.

Our dinner was outstanding. My wife and a Tenderloin that was cooked to perfection, and I had Lobster that was out of this world. Our waitress was superb, very attentive but not interfering, which was greatly appreciated. (since we had no kids for the evening) We have been to this restaurant before and would highly recommend Joey Gerard's to anyone looking for a great meal at a fair price.

We found this location to be very noisy in the main dining area with even the wait staff having to ask us questions when ordering a few times. Overall this is a great establishment and the Chef and staff do a better than average presentation and serving. If the weather permits, take a walk around the village after you are done and then stop back in their beautiful bar for a night-cap.

Our visit to Joey Gerard's could not have been better. The food was excellent - perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our waitress (Jennifer) was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. We took our dad to celebrate what would have been his 56th wedding anniversary. It was a hard day for him, but Jennifer helped make the evening enjoyable. She even brought strawberry schaume torte, on the house. I would highly recommend!!

They were out of one of two specials for the night (crab stuffed lobster), which I was going to order. Second choice was trout almondine. Head end of trout tasted fishy, but rest was very good. Mentioned to waiter who offered to get something else, but I declined. Prime rib and steak Diane were very good. Very good service. Party of four seated in u-shaped booth. Higher noise level made conversation difficult on the ends.

My boyfriend and I visited Joey Gerard's in Greendale on Saturday evening, 10-4-14. After being seated, water was brought to us and we were told our server (Devan) would be with us shortly. I didn't time it, but we waited quite a while before Devan showed up to take our drink order. She apologized for the wait. My boyfriend asked if they had any non-alcoholic beer: she didn't know and went to check. After getting over that small hurdle, she was almost too attentive during the rest of our meal, trying to remove plates we weren't done with, etc. The food was good but on the pricey side. A wedge salad, consisting mainly of iceberg lettuce was $8.95. Overall, a decent experience. I might try them again for a special occasion.

It was our first time to Joey Gerard's and we will definitely be back. Husband and I were there to celebrate our 20th anniversary from when we first met on a blind date and were excited to have a nice dinner out at a new restaurant. Had a drink at the bar where we had a nice conversation with another couple who were regulars. Upon mentioning we might try the New York strip, the woman said that was very good, but suggested the bone-in filet, which is what we wound up ordering. BEST STEAKS WE HAVE EVER HAD and the rest of meal was fabulous as well. Many kudos to our server, Whitney, who was extremely attentive and attentive and brought us schaum torte at the end of our meal to celebrate our event. Great restaurant atmosphere, as well.

I have been to Joey Gerard's several times, this time for a group birthday celebration as my and my 90 year old fathers birthdays are in October. Excellent food and service as usual. We were seated in the back room area which can be noisy. There was a table of four back there with one of these women whose raucous loud laughter made it difficult to hear for a bit. But when they left it was just fine. there were several other tables occupied but you would hardly know they were there.

Very nice restaurant with a 1960's supper club type of atmosphere and menu. Good selection of "old school" cocktails and a decent wine list at reasonable prices. The menu has a lot of steak options, but there were plenty of other good choices too. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and paced our meal nicely. Overall, we had a very good experience on our first visit to Joey Gerard's, and will go back again.

Fun time having pre-race meal before the Brewers' Half Marathon. Everything about the restaurant totally fit the theme of an upscale '50's supper club. Quite a nicer experience than the usual supper clubs that are dark and a bit shabby. This was upbeat and snazzy! One of the best steaks I've ever had, and i have had some great ones.

The food was really outstanding, everything was delicious, but the service was so poor that it spoiled the entire experience! We had taken an out of town guest there and were raving about the place to her, but the poor service was actually embarrassing. It took FOREVER to get our food and our server, Devon, was not up to the task. She never asked us if we wanted more wine, she never asked if we wanted coffee at the end of our meal with dessert, and was generally inattentive to our needs. We will think twice about going here again, mainly because it took so long to get our food.

We visited Joey Gerard's for dinner. From service to food, everything was very impressive! Our table of 4 ordered filet mignon, trout, liver and a vegetarian dish. The filet was very high quality and cooked to perfection, trout dish was very tender and salt free per our request, liver was melt in your mouth delicious (over freshly mashed potatoes & two slabs of bacon) and veg dish of seasonal stuffed squash and very creative/tasty. Service was highly attentive and accommodating to all of our requests - from seating staff to wait staff to chef - superb response. It was our first visit and we will certainly be back! Can't wait to try the happy hour specials at the bar, as well as the lunch and brunch offerings. YUM!

The food was excellent, however, we were a tad disappointed that once we sat down, pretty much all of the fish fry was gone including the lobster. We came to the restaurant specifically for these items, so we ended up spending way more than we wanted to since we had to find alternate meals. I have to say I was very disappointed in the seating timeframe, I made a reservation online through open table for 7 pm, and we go there before 7 but had to wait 30 minutes before we got our table. I asked the hostess twice how long it it would take and she wouldn't tell me, she just said there was 2 tables ahead of me. I don't get what the point of making a reservation was if we had to wait so long! The second time I asked, she finally sat us.

This was our 4th time visiting Joey Gerard's. Once again excellent food. My only critique was the speed of the service. Meal took 2.5 hrs from when we sat down til when we left. At that type of restaurant I expect to be there 1.5-2 hrs but thought this was a little excessive. Noticeable lags between drink order and meal order, between courses etc. Overall, very good meal and dining experience. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Even had Joe Bartolotta greet us at the table. Love this place.

My favorite place has deteriorated. The waitress forgot to place our appetizer order. We had to tell her twice what we ordered for dinner because she could not remember it. We waited 20+ min for the appetizer, 30+ min more for dinner. She did try to compensate & gave us a 2nd round of drinks and dessert free. Outside patio needs more lighting other than to 2 lights by the door. They ran out of my wife's first entrée choice. It was the Sunday Special. And worst of all, they discontinued my favorite item, Shrimp DeJonghe. After this experience, I won't be returning until they bring it back. At a quality restaurant like Joey Gerards, I expect different silverware for each course. That did not happen either.

We had rec'd a gift card for this restaurant and decided to go on a Sunday night, Labor Day weekend... it was pretty easy to get in, I was pleased. Our server Amanda was excellent, attentive and very helpful with question I had about a couple menu choices. We ordered the Joey's Kabob and Petite Filet, both had very tender choices of meat. The mashed potatoes were fabulous. The cauliflower not so much. But overall a very tasty meal. And we love their fresh bread they serve. This was our 2nd time here, I would definitely recommend this place and return again.

Went to Joey Gerard's because I did receive a coupon for my birthday. I am glad I did. I have always had great experiences at the Bartolotta restaurants and this was another one. I had the veal and it was done exceptionally well. My husband ordered the Rib eye. Only complaint is that a supper club/steak restaurant didn't knokw what Pittsburg style was. He did get his steak done very rare, but it should have been seared/charred on the outside. He didn't complain as the steak was done a way he likes it and had great flavor. I would recommend this place for a nice evening out or special occasion as it is a little more pricey.
