    During the daytime, Valet Parking is available in the back lot on Electric Ave(parallel to Abbot Kinney). Parking is $2 and we validate up to 2 hours. In the evening, Valet Parking courtesy of Continental Parking is available curbside, in front of the restaurant on Abbot Kinney. The cost is $6. Rates are subject to change, of course.

    Street parking is always an option, but please check the signage, especially if you are coming during brunch or lunchtime.

She did not seem to hear anything we ordered. the service was very slow and when after 30 minutes no food came, we asked again and she seemed not to think there was anything wrong. Meanwhile people seated after us were eating. Food should not take 3 1/2 hours to serve. Still it's our neighborhood gem and we love Joe. We will be back. Brunch maybe next time."

  • "As usual, brunch menu was really disappointing and unimaginative...cold food, flies from open front door...under done quiche...how can you call a dish hash, when it isn't hash at all...love this place for lunch and dinner, but, will never go for brunch again. Staff was wonderful and took two ice cold pancake entrees off the bill+ small discount...will always come for other meals, but, never brunch. Think chef needs to rethink menu here...could do a real corned beef hash with eggs on top....a good eggs Benedict....pancakes should be made to order, not heated up from a warming oven...stick to basics for breakfast dishes and it would be safer. Be seeing you, but, not for brunch."

The wine list is filled with delicious wines at prices that allow you to enjoy them - something more places should do. Kudos, Joe's - still amazing after all these years in Venice!"

  • "First, the team of people who provided service was exceptional: the server herself, and just as important, each of the people who assisted by bringing our food, bread, water, clearing dishes; they were friendly and professional and knew what they were doing. The bread was very good, the heirloom tomato salad was good, but unfortunately the entrees, salmon and snapper, were mediocre. The fish was on the verge of mushiness and the flavor just okay. I was hoping for a nice dinner with a visiting friend, and wish I had chosen a different restaurant."

Made reservations........had to change the time....not a problem........handled quickly and friendly....got there late one person short, frazzled, still not a problem, waiter was attentive, light touch, humorous, suggested specials.......... food was fresh, different takes on classics and some new things to try. A good time was had by all."

It was very quiet this Thursday where we celebrated a friend's birthday. The food was very good and looked great.   • "Joe's has been around for 23 years. Not a lot of LA restaurants can say that. The place started off on a shoestring and has expanded over the years. Joe is still there overseeing the kitchen and greeting guests. The food is straightforward, fresh and occasionally innovative (not a contradiction). Nice small wine list. Very reasonable prices for the quality. And pretty much full on a Tuesday!"

  • "Kaitlyn, our server was very nice and attentive. I didn't think the food was up to par today. This is the only time I've had a meal that I didn't just absolutely love. They were out one of the appetizers and I order the pea soup which I thought would be hot, but it was a cold soup, but not real cold, not my favorite. However, Joe's is a wonderful restaurant and I will continue to dine there."

  • "We've dined here several times before and should've written a review sooner. This time there were 7 of us and all enjoyed their meal. The appetizers-rock shrimp crab cake and calamari presentation was perfect and tasted great. We enjoyed the cheese board so much we ordered a second one! Due to so many appetizers there were only two salads ordered. Both had all kinds of goodies in them and enjoed. We went on Sunday and the chef prepares bbq dishes on Sundays. Four of us had bbq pork sliders and an amazing rib dish with rave reviews. Also ordered was sea bream, jidori chicken and flat iron steak-all perfectly prepared. Then we had 3 wonderful desserts shared by all. The whole evening was perfect. Perfectly prepared food in a great place..."

  • "Dinner at Joe's Saturday night, terribly disappointing and underwhelming with the exception of the service which was excellent all around (warm, friendly hostess. Capable and knowledgable servers and bussers). Food we had at a tasting for an event many months ago - for the most part - was very good although nothing outstanding. However, dinner was sub-par and disappointing. Rock shrimp/Crab Cake was okay, but nothing special. Dinner was bland/unenticing. Lots of tone on tone colors so nothing was enticing as far as the visual palate (e.g. pink salmon on brown tabouleh with brown sauce). Sea bass dish was slightly better. 2nd glass of wine was watered down, but was replaced promptly when we mentioned something. Would not come back."

  • "We have party of 4, including a 8 year old, he probably is the one enjoy the food the most. We took advantage of joe’s famous prix fixe special: choose a starter, entree & dessert for $23! For the 8 year old, he has Albacore Ceviche as the starter, which looks pretty decent, Steelhead Salmon as entree, Dulcey Caramel Ganache as desert, and he finished everything. I have tried Grilled Flat Iron Steak, it is OK and average. However, we love the Chocolate Crunch Cake, it is pretty amazing. Overall, the dining experience is pretty good, but not outstanding, shall I say."

One guest had the chickpea vegetarian dish which was perfect, the sea bream was excellent and the halibut off the charts. The desserts were likewise excellent as was the tuna sashimi, the lamb and the zucchini soup. Plus, with the Tuesday no corkage, it's a great value. Highly recommended."

The ingredients are fresh, the bread a bit heavy, but it's nothing that many decent restaurants on Abbot Kinney can't give you. I wish there were more wine choices-Joe's private label tells me nothing about where the grapes were grown and who the winery is that made it."

  • "The waiter kept pouring flat water into the sparkling. The yellow tail was over cooked and had way too much "blood meat." I sent the yellow tail back and switched it for lobster risotto. The lobster was partially raw. Overall a disappointing experience. Have been here several times in the past and was never disappointed like this time."

The crab/shrimp cake was cold in the middle. We sent it back, and the next one was cold. The Halibut also came to us cold. None of it had the quality expected, especially at the price point. Disappointing"
