    During the daytime, Valet Parking is available in the back lot on Electric Ave(parallel to Abbot Kinney). Parking is $2 and we validate up to 2 hours. In the evening, Valet Parking courtesy of Continental Parking is available curbside, in front of the restaurant on Abbot Kinney. The cost is $6. Rates are subject to change, of course.

    Street parking is always an option, but please check the signage, especially if you are coming during brunch or lunchtime.

The ingredients are fresh, the bread a bit heavy, but it's nothing that many decent restaurants on Abbot Kinney can't give you. I wish there were more wine choices-Joe's private label tells me nothing about where the grapes were grown and who the winery is that made it."

An extremely pleasant experience for our family gathering in celebration of my wife's birthday. We've some picky eaters, but one and all cleaned their plates. Polite smart, attentive service, our waitress knew the menu well and made good recommendations. All in all a highly recommended locale for our event.."

  • "The waiter kept pouring flat water into the sparkling. The yellow tail was over cooked and had way too much "blood meat." I sent the yellow tail back and switched it for lobster risotto. The lobster was partially raw. Overall a disappointing experience. Have been here several times in the past and was never disappointed like this time."

  • "I am long time Venice resident and have always appreciated Joe's. Our meal there Saturday night was not up to par. The Tuna Sashimi tartar was fair but over dressed. The crab/shrimp cake was cold in the middle. We sent it back, and the next one was cold. The Halibut also came to us cold. None of it had the quality expected, especially at the price point. Disappointing"

She knew exactly the type of pinot we were describing. We trusted her wine choice & it proved to be exactly what we had in mind to complement the beautifully prepared duck we both ordered. The martinis & ahi crudo before dinner were also an especially good pairing. Gorgeous meal, wonderful evening."

The only option was a prix fix menu although we were not alerted that this was the only option. Even checked website. The service was up to standard but the food was very disappointing. Nothing stood out, some food was cold, portions were quite small and not one item was noteworthy..we ordered a wide sampling-Duck sausage, crab cake, sea bass, ribs, steak Sadly, a very disappointing experience on a special day all for $400."

We were in Venice for two nights; the first night we had a reservation, the second night we honestly tried to find a different restaurant in the neighborhood, but they were all noisy, with loud bars and music. So we landed back at Joe' for another great dinner. The menu was slightly different, so my project of coming back if I lived here would be eminently feasible! Very fresh food, not over-decorated or painted plates."

Joe's was delicious then, and remains delicious. I love its fresh ingredients and understated, unpretentious ambience. Sitting in the patio is great, as well as in the front by the windows. The service is great. The restaurant can get loud, so try to go early (6 to 7 PM) or late (after 9:30 PM) to reduce the risk of noise, if that bothers you. One of the best in LA."

  • "There's nothing like being rushed through your meal and then overpaying for it. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and despite there being numerous empty tables, in a blatant attempt to increase our tab, we were herded like cattle to the bar. Once seated we were rushed through our meal from start to finish forty-five minutes, paying over $175 with tax and tip for 2 people. The food was good although small, precious portions. We won't go back. "

Met the nicest people including Mr. Jaffe, the vintner of the night. Terrific guy and his Cabernet was equally great. Not a cruise, pick-up place. It has a lovely neighborhood vibe."

It wasn't until we had to tell the host that we had been waiting that we then were seated. The host should have seated the people in the order that they came into the restaurant. We were then seated right in front of the kitchen--not a particularly good table. The people who served us were very good, though."

  • "We tried this place out during vacation spontaneously and it wasn't bad. It was good, but I wouldn't call it anything special. The food was nice but the selections were a bit limited for my taste, although the service was attentive (from server assistants pouring water, bussing tables etc.) I did feel an air of snootiness from our server. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions but the delivery seemed very.. Well, fake and uppity in my opinion. For this reason I didn't feel comfortable or welcome and rushed through a dinner I really wanted to enjoy. Again, not a bad place but probably just not the place for me. I doubt I will go back. "

  • "In LA for a meeting and had been stuck all day in the hotel in meetings. Lucked into a reservation after the recommendation of a "local". Nice surprise: ate out back, so quiet, small but good wine list and nice menu. Started with the white asparagus with morel and followed with the bream. The bream was wonderful, nicely cooked with a layer of thin potato slices, overlapped to resemble fish scales.....very cute. Overall A+."

  • "I took my wife to Joe's for Mothers Day brunch. I had never been to Joe's before and, in fact, had never heard of Joe's. I read online reviews, looked at the online menu and Joe's online photographs. I booked on Open Table. I couldn't have been more satisfied. Joe's staff called ahead to confirm the reservation. When I arrived there was no waiting -- we were provided a table for two inside. The service was just right -- not stiff, not rehearsed but genuinely friendly and relaxed. The cocktails and meal were excellent. The restaurant was packed but not noisy and thankfully we were able to talk to each other without the blare of loud music. I expect we will return long before the next Mothers Day. "
