Joe's Bar & Grill
As always, the food was greatAs always, the food was great and an enjoyable place to go to. Every time we are here, we go at least twice if not three times. I recommend it to anybody that asks for a good pace to eat or if I know they coming over here.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't Miss ItWe loved it and are hoping to return before we leave Maui. I had the meatloaf which was fabulous. Not your mama's meatloaf, either. The sauce on this meatloaf is soooo good! Hubby had the prime rib and told me it is the best he has tasted in a long time. We took a piece of chocolate macadamia nut pie back to our room because we were stuffed and ate it the next night. It was outstanding. Our server, whose name was Jed, I think, was the best! What a friendly, relaxing place to dine. Love the decor. Louis (or maybe Lewis) picked us up and dropped us off at our car and we appreciated the golf cart ride cuz we were not sure where we were headed at first. All in all, a wonderful meal. Cannot wait to return.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place! The waitstaff at Joe's was amazing and the atmosphere and feel of the place was even better! My 1 year gobbled up the entore plate of the meatloaf on the keiki menu! The food was good!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe eat here every time weWe eat here every time we come to Maui. Never disappointed4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurant. It isExcellent restaurant. It is close to where we were staying so easy to walk to. Reservations were easy to make and it wasn't too busy. The food choices were varied with something for everyone's tastes.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food and location,Outstanding food and location, even Joe came over
To greet us.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was good, service wasFood was good, service was great. Definite go to spot in Wailea. Kind of hard to find though.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGo to joes! After hearing people at the pool raving about Joes, we decided to give it a try. Very impressed! The location is interesting. We had the calamari and shrimp bruschetta to start. Followed by the beet salad and the wedge. For dinner we had the chicken and waffles and the pork Milanese. Everything was amazing! We were stuffed and still had leftovers. Versus other places in Wailea were you still leave hungry. Joes definitely knows how to give the portions for the price you pay! We will be back and definitely recommend.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMConsider size of food portions- bigFood portion size is too large. Unless you can really eat a lot, skip the appetizers. We were four and not one of us finished our entree. Quality was good just too much food. The Mai tai drinks are best I have had on Maui and the service was very good.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMUnexpected GemWe went to Joe's at the last minute and it was one of the best experiences of our trip. It was a little more upscale than we expected from a place called Joe's Bar in the clubhouse of a tennis club. The food and service were outstanding. I had the BBQ ribs and my wife had the daily catch. Both were well prepared. Two cocktails, an app, two entrees, and two desserts were $128 before the tip. We've spent more at other restaurants that weren't this good.
Unexpected and very good. We'll go back again before the week is over.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA good find!Good find! Excellent service. Gluten free menu. Jambalaya pretty spicy. Mud pie is an excellent dessert but different than a regular mud pie.
Ribs are delicious. Enough fries for the whole table.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss it!We went here thinking it would be a low-key, casual burger kind of place. While you can get a burger and I'm sure it would be outstanding, with all the other amazing choices I don't know why you would. I had the fish special which was out of this world and my husband had the lamb which he was very happy with. Portion sizes are normal which is a nice change and their focus on quality is apparent. It was a bit of an older crowd when we were there - not the young, hip vibe of Monkeypod - but I would highly, highly recommend this place. Best meal we had while on Maui!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMI wish you could do half starsI wish you could do half stars for both overall and food (I would have done 3.5 for both.) My pork was great but the sides and my wife's meal was just ok. Service was great. Hard to find in the dark, Google gets you close but its behind and below a wall of shrubs.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMJoe's is greatWe love Joe's. It has a good Hawaiian location, near and above tennis courts on the hillside of Wailea. You can get anything from meat loaf to super fish dishes. They have a solid wine list and a variety of bar specialities. Service is prompt and friendly. We've been several times and always come away satified.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter my mistake of bookingAfter my mistake of booking the wrong day, they were very nice and extremely accommodating.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA little hard to find: parkA little hard to find: park in either of the top lots & if you want to walk, angle your way down the hill to the northwest. If you order the decadent choc bread pudding for dessert you'll need to wait for the golf cart to haul you back up again! We arrived just in time to look across the tennis courts & see a gorgeous sunset. Service was outstanding & welcoming. Wine list was interesting with a couple of by-the-glass wines you don't normally see. Ahi carpaccio appetizer and goat cheese salad: excellent. Hubby ordered Parmesan crusted pork which was a little disappointing. He was expecting a chop but it was a cutlet. We checked the menu and it didn't say either, so we should have asked. The basil sherry sauce was a little too sweet.2/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place for good food and funThis was our first visit to Joe's Bar and Grill. It is a casual fun restaurant that is great for anyone. My husband had a great martini that was served in a glass vase that held ice and kept it extra cold. We split a wonderful shrimp cocktail and the rolls were warm and great. I had the ribs which were great served with steak fries and my husband had the meat loaf that he said was really good. We aren't really big eaters and the portions were huge so we would probably split an entree the next time we eat at Joe's. The service was good but the real high-light was having the owner Bev Gannon come by our table for a few minutes. She was gracious and stopped at all of the tables.
We will definitely go back on our next visit to Maui!1/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding andThe food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. We especially loved the chocolate bread pudding - excellent. The service was excellent. We will go back.12/4/2012 12:00:00 AMVery good place to eat.I had the pumpkin crusted mahi mahi, it was very good. It came with mashed potatoes which normally i don't eat but forgot to tell them to leave them off. My partner ate some of them and said they were some of the best he has every eaten. We shared some ahi carpaccio and it was delicious. Service was good not great. I didn't induldge in dessert so can't comment on it. It is a casual atmosphere. The red wine came room temperature which was disappointing after having eaten at the sister property and it came perfect. Our server when asked brought us a wine chiller and again when asked brought us red wine glasses. He just brought the same white wine glasses for all of us as we ordered our red wine later.12/1/2012 12:00:00 AM
