Nice place with great views. Joes was clean and our waitress was very accomidating to our toddler. The hosts were very rude ( talked to three different ones) but not a big deal. The food was below average! I'm not excepting gold for a 12 dollar burger but come on. It was a far cry from many others I've had.

A beautiful day to be by the water in Boston means having a late lunch, early dinner on outdoor patio at Joe's. Food is good, beers cold, and service excellent. But the view of marina and harbor perfect.

Joe's is a place that never disappoints, although THIS time it did. Not in the food, or the ambiance but the server. She was THE WORST. no smiling, no thank yous, nothing... food and drinks were served by a runner, and she didn't even come and check. So we sat for ooohh 10/12 mins with no condiments and the wrong drink. NOT COOL. Needless to say, the food got cold, thus yielding a not so great experience. It's a shame really,if you don't like people then DON"T WORK IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY. Yes folks, it's THAT simple. Poor service ruins a meal. Let's be real, these days you can cook just about anything at home, you go out for SERVICE. Should I be able to talk my friends into a next time (don't hold your breath) I pray i don't get HER!

I haven't eaten at Joe's for 15+ years. I picked it because it was on the water. I had the Kale Quinoa Salad. As I am a vegetarian, it was the only dish really geared for me and it was good. I was disappointed at first as the kale is raw & nothing had been done to it, but it was mixed with a tad of romaine which was very nice. There was a small amount of quinoa, my guess 1/4 cup and I thought I would be hungry ( I suppose I would have been had I not had bread). The raisins & almonds were a nice touch. Be sure to order salads with dressing on the side ( way too much)- as this was a problem with all the salads. The 2 people who had crab cakes ( didn't like them all to much) and the salmon was enjoyed.

We have been to Joes many times over the years and to many of their other locations and think of them as a solid choice for food. I admittedly struggled whether to rate this a three or 4 star because I would rate finer dining 4 stars typically. I went with 4 overall because we all enjoyed the food and the meal a lot together so in the end that is what it is all about. The location with kids can't be beat, it is across from a playground which we played at while we were waiting for our reservation. We were also able to get a table outside which was great. The kids all liked their food and loved the hot loaf of bread. The menu has a nice selection of meals and sandwiches. Great drink selections as well.

We had two lunch salads - both were very good - just what we hoped for. The greens were well prepared, fresh and tender and the accompanying flavors and textures perfectly complementary. The menu selections are basic with many choices. Service was friendly and fast. On a sunny day, lunch or dinner on the deck is superb.

I honesty was looking forward to dining at Joe's while in Boston for the weekend, we were very rushed, server took my kids drink order & not mine! Appetizers came out and within 5 minutes the meals came!!! Talk about a rushed meal! She brought us our check without asking if we wanted dessert. It was not worth the 23 min walk over, I would have rather been at one of the great Italian restaurants in the Northend.

We've been to several other Joe's in the past, all good experiences. Unfortunately, this was a disaster from start to finish. Although we ordered entrees *after* we received our app, they still came out immediately. Then the waitress & her assistants tended to everyone except us...plates and glasses were stacking up on the table and nobody seemed to care. I had my 8-month old with me - maybe that was her problem. But given the number of strollers parked at the door, this establishment clearly caters to families, so you'd think there would be a bit more hospitality. Nope. And the baby was a complete angel. Even nearby diners commented on how good she was! The view is great & food is good, but overpriced for the lack of service.

Wouldn't honor the request for an outdoor table w/a waterfront view. We opted to keep our reservation a lot rather than wait an extra 30-45 mins for the outdoor waitlist. Exorbitant wine menu (bottle costs more than 4 glasses), the rib eye was a non descript low grade cut & the salmon tasted like it had been soaked in butter. Our overpriced drinks arrived after our entrees were delivered & the waiter had to be requested to bring our check. The crowd consisted of families that had ransacked the tables & left the waitstaff fumbling. There was a pointless employee hovering nearby and surveying occupancy every 10 mins which added to the ridiculousness. Won't be going back and will be advising friends not to waste their money.

I have eaten at various Joe's locations over many years. This particular meal was the worst by far of any meal I've ever had at Joe's and I feel that this location emphasizes its water view at the expense of quality. Two in my party ordered the tuna tartare appetizer. Both plates smelled fishy and appeared to be poor quality tuna. They were returned to the kitchen. Two salads were forgotten. One main dish, salmon, was terribly overcooked. A ribeye was almost 80% fat. A manager came over and asked how everything was. We told him of our disappointment with the quality of the food given our experiences at other Joe's locations, mainly Newbury Street. He simply replied that all locations use the same vendors, and that was all. Avoid this one.

The service was great, our waitress was attentive and friendly. However, the food was not worth the price that we paid for it. A salad that was priced $20 and was advertised as "field greens" came with iceberg lettuce and ahi tuna that was somehow stale and chewy. We also ordered a side of summer vegetables that arrived at the table stone cold in the middle. I might go back for a drink on the deck, but I do not think I will eat here again.

Been to this restaurant several times now and this was by far the worst experience. The service was incredibly slow, from beginning to end. and when our meal finally arrived it was cold. I think our waiter was part time cook and part time waiter because I barely ever saw him. The manager was somehow tipped off to slow service and he did the right thing - he apologized and said our entire bill (food and drinks) would be on him. I give the manager a lot of credit for doing the right thing, most places would not do this I don't think. It is because of this that I would probably give Joe's another shot.

This restaurant has a policy that you can only reserve indoor seating, and not the outdoor seating. We chose this restaurant specifically because we wanted to eat by the water, so we "had to go to the bottom of the list" and decided to wait for a waterside table. We specifically requested a waterside table in the reservation, but apparently they don't read that comment section. Everything else was wonderful, but having to wait even though we had a reservation kind of sucked.

I had dinner with my parents and husband on Father's Day. We ordered entrees & drinks. For my meal I asked for my salad and soup to come out at the same time (no one else got appetizers). However, when the food arrived (ribs, steak, and salmon), it was just my salad, no soup. Things happen, no problem, I asked the waitress for my soup, "no problem." 10 min later I asked a bus boy to check on my soup, "no problem". No soup. Soup never arrived. 15 minutes after asking for the check we see that we have been charged for soup, and my Dad's glass of wine has been charged as a bottle. It took another 30 minutes to resolve this. No apologies, no rushing to fix it. My Dad left fuming. Not how I wanted to spend Father's Day.

The food was delicious and the seafood tasted really fresh! However our waitress never brought up bread and butter and was very slow in refilling our water cups. The hamburger my husband got was suppose to get a fried egg on it. When we asked the waitress about it she brushed off the question and said, "I'm new here so I don't know the menu well." She should have asked the cook and taken back the burger to get the fried egg on it as it states on the menu. Having been a waitress myself for many years, I'd say the young lady has a lot to learn.
