Joe's American Bar and Grill - BostonGood foodGood food, great service from our server. Fun ambience.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation PartyTook my niece and family there for an early dinner for a graduation party for my niece. We had a great time, the waiter did an awesome job.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFriday's at Joe'sLocated in a nice area in the Back Bay of Boston. Wanted to take my adult son there because of the great bar area. I was at Joe's before and the food was wonderful and the service was top notch. Last time I was in the downstairs dining room witch has a much softer atmosphere for nice quiet dining. Also thank you Bianca for saving that table for us.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation party for my daughter,Graduation party for my daughter, Seven people, all of whom enjoyed their meals. Very accommodating restaurant. They make the best burgers anywhere. Seared tuna appetizer was great,6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPHENOMENAL brunch! My friend added steak to his lobster omelet; they were very accomodating with his request, and it was the most delicious omelet I've ever tried. The service was exceptional and the ambiance is perfect. This is my favorite restaurant on Newbury street, especially for brunch!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorial Day at Joe's.Was quite impressed when our bartender Josh (we had seats at the bar) remembered us since it had been over a year since he had served us. Vey good food, service & impressive wine list. Will be returning soon.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best place I've eaten at!This place was amazing - I give it 5 stars all around. The ambience was just right.. the service was excellent and the food was amazing. It gets a little pricey when you add in a few drinks but it is completely worth it. They make the freshest bread that melts in your mouth. Everything was wonderful. The server was extremely personable and friendly.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMJoe'sThe drinks were very good. The food was good, not great, but the prices were great considering the Newbury Street location.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and Efficient ServiceOur group of 9 enjoyed our graduation celebration at Joe's. We were seated quickly, greeted by our server almost immediately and enjoyed a varied assortment of lunch dishes, all served as requested and much more quickly than expected. Our group ranged in age from 10 to 55 and included a vegetarian; all of us found something we enjoyed. Our server was friendly and efficient, but not intrusive. We never felt rushed, even though everything showed up well ahead of expected time. Because the walls are wooden, the room was a bit loud, but it really didn't bother us. I would recommend Joe's for lunch and for groups. Excellent job!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMNothing too fancy, just great food!Joe's never disappoints. In a town where you almost can't get a bad bowl of clam chowder, Joe's is exceptional. Their fish and chips are some of the best I've had and I've had them all over Britain. The mussels in a skillet are fabulous.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMsteaks at joe'sA nice restaurant, with good and not-overpriced food. We looked for a steak place near our hotel, and it turned out to be a good choice. All arrangements went smoothly, though my sister got an undercooked steak at first (she wanted a well-done one). So we had to ask to prepare it in a better way. Yet the steaks were very good. My medium-rare one was just perfect.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMthe food was great....we wentthe food was great....we went on Mother's Day, so service was not the best. They sat us in a far table by the kitchen...asked to be sat outside where I saw an emptry table, but was told that table was not available. Bread was great!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restuarantEnjoyed a Saturday night dinner with friends, ambiance, drinks, service were great. I made reservation for 6:00 pam and tthere was no waiting when we got there.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGood dining experienceDelicious food and jumping atmosphere on the patio. Even with a reservation, had about a 15 min wait to be seated on a Friday evening. Fun outdoor feel in good weather and nice staff.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite PlaceA staple on any Bostonian's restaurant list. When one of my closest friends and I get together all we do is set a date and time, we already know where we are meeting! : )5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ServiceI had family coming from out of town and needed to pick them up from the Logan Express shuttle stop. Both flights were delayed; one 45 minutes longer than the other. I made reservations at Joe's and headed over with my Dad, warning the waiter that the other two would be quite late. Sean, our waiter never grumbled about the time we spent at the table, which made it easier for me to tip him well. The food (French dip, filet, chicken caesar, and hamburger) were all cooked properly and were tasty. I prefer their prime rib to filet and will remember that next time.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Newbury St Dinner spotJoe's is a good casual place on a weeknight or weekend for dinner and drinks. The Sangria is amaazingggg! My friends and I sat on the patio. It was sort of chilly so the windows were all closed that night. It's a great spot for people watching on Newbury. Our waiter was great and attentive. Really great casual dinner spot.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went here on our firstWe went here on our first date and come back every year on our anniversary. The food is excellent as is the service!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMlove the bread...wish theylove the bread...wish they would bring back the chil...it was awesome!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNot our first time at Joe'sNot our first time at Joe's but the location is excellent and the food is great - will always return when in the city.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMy family had a pleasant breakfastMy family had a pleasant breakfast at Joe's. It was Easter and we had hoped for a special brunch. We did not receive the drinks, coffee, or fresh muffins that were stated in the menu. We were charged the price that included the extras. Therefore it was a regular breakfast we could have had at a dinner. It was a holiday and we just wanted a nice family gathering. We will think twice before spending a meal there again.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe arrived 15 minutes earlyWe arrived 15 minutes early for our 2:30 Easter Sunday reservations. The place was very crowded but surprisingly very organized. We were given a pager and told it would be 5 to 10 minutes before we were seated. In 5 minutes our pager went off and we were seated at 2:25, another pleasant surprise. While walking to our table, we noticed that the dining area was much larger than it appeared from the outside. Our server was very attentive and efficient. It appeared that Joes was very prepared for the holiday meal, with plenty of staff on hand. Our meals arrived promptly and hot. The rotisserie chicken was delicious and just the right size for my wife. Our total for 4 people came to $61 before tip. A bargain in the heart of Boston.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, waitress was friendlyGreat food, waitress was friendly and efficient, restaurant was perfect place for our Easter brunch.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWhile not memorable, a veryWhile not memorable, a very good Easter brunch in a noisy but comfortable setting. Nice outdoor area if the weather is good, and generally a reliable American bistro for both food and atmosphere.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved this place. We wereLoved this place. We were visitng our son who is a UConn student and chose this place due to the great reviews and we were not disappointed. My husband and son both had the ribs which they said were fall off the bone tender. I had the duck which was quite juicy. The waitress was extremely friendly and the lively bar scene is very lively. We would defintely go back.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, great ambiance!I like Joe's because of the good food and good service. The dining room is a great place to sit in, but the atrium with the sky lights makes for a unique dining experience. I love it when it's open and the sun is out! I've ordered the burgers here and really enjoyed them. The food isn't to pricey, which is great.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was perfect for kids andIt was perfect for kids and family. Waiter was great with kids.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMrestaurant weekI booked this restaurant for Restaurant week and truly the prices are not bad. My group decided we would do just appetizers which seemed to be much better since no one really did not want dinner. The only thing was the buffalo tenders are extremely hot for my taste. It might be better to serve a mild sauce on the side since the place does not carry buffalo wings. Other than the buffalo tenders, the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
Thanks,
