We had the 5 course dinner and the food was wonderful with small portions as was the wine they assisted us in choicing from an outstanding wine list. Wonderful bread cart with so many breads to choose that you could make a meal out of the breads and the butter with sea salt and olive oil. We passed on ordering the cheese cart as we had enough to eat. Nice choice of candies/chocolates to finish the meal. The service was excellent and the garden room was very pleasant. Highly recommend even though pricey.

Though quite pricey this is a culinary experience that is truly unique. The service is beyond exceptional. They were extremely helpful in describing the unique food choices . The food is unique and spectacular - from the bread cart to the desert cart and all of the culinary delights in between you will not be disappointed. We had a wonderful evening, the food was exquisite and the staff was second to none. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I were celebrating her birthday, and opted for the tasting menu. The food was exquisite -- each course was beautiful, innovative and bursting with flavor. Joel Robuchon may have destroyed my ability to enjoy seafood at any other restaurant as they will probably never come close to his masterful preparations. The service was good, but it felt somewhat impersonal and cool, especially given that I had informed the restaurant that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and our steward was aware of it. Other Michelin rated restaurants that we have visited on similar occasions have made some effort to make it a special experience (personalized menus, plate decoration, candles etc).

I have eaten at Joel Robuchon on three other occasions. This time, there were little things that I found annoying. The bacon infused bread, which is normally insanely fantastic was dry and overcooked. The timing between courses was very long. The coffee was delivered without the cream. However, the food was very good and the chocolate soufflé with vanilla bean ice cream was as good as it could be.

This is the nicest restaurant my husband and I have ever been to and we are foodies! It's also the most expensive, although we felt it was worth ever cent. It was the meal of a life time, everything was incredible and the service was amazing!! If you want to do something really special in Vegas visit Joel Robchon. We spent our money here, rather than at the Casino and we enjoyed every second of it.

While you will pay through the nose for the experience, it was unlike anywhere I have ever dined. From immidiately sitting down and being served a glass of Champagne [which you pay for], to the amazing bread cart where you order from and they then take back to kitchen to warm up, to the amazing dishes prepared where the tastes make your tongue sparkle with delight, and desert cart that has about 50-60 choices to choose from, it was a dining experience par excellence.

It is always a pleasure to dine at Joel Robuchon @ MGM Grand. The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfectly set for a restaurant in that category. The staff is well trained, they know what they are talking about. They nearly float through the restaurant. The food is absolutely perfect, it's very impressive and tastes yummy delicious! The only thing I complain about is the fast sequence the menu is served. As European I am not used to be processed that fast in this sort of restaurant- I'd have loved to enjoy myself more.

Joel Robuchon Restaurant is THE standard by which all other restaurants are judged. This was our second visit, just hubby and I, and it was amazing. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything...I couldn't ask for more. Our server, Andrew, made us feel right at home. He was the utmost in professionalism, and yet warm and caring all at the same time. Hospitality at it's finest. And the food...did I mention the bread cart? And the butter cart? I could squeal like a little girl at Christmas every time I see it! This will be a pricey meal, especially when you do the 16 course tasting menu with wine pairings...and worth every penny. If you ever have the opportunity...treasure every moment.

From the gold limo to the chef's table side visit, this was a wonderful evening. Being brought into the mansion by way of gardens and fountains set the atmosphere. The dining room was plush and comfortable. The bread cart was everything we'd read about and more. We opted for the smaller tasting and it was just the right amount of food. The attention to detail was incredible. It was a once in a lifetime treat.

  • Almost A 5 Star Experience
    DrValVIP
    Dined on 9/18/2014
Robuchon has the best food in Las Vegas. Try the 16 course chef's tasting menu - complete with lavish bread and dessert carts. Each course was a work of art, with china to match the food presentation. The staff are discrete and attentive, the ambiance is elegant, and the restaurant is an oasis of calm in a frenetic tangle of slot machines. Our sommelier paired our wines perfectly. Alas, the chef made a couple of mistakes that caused the experience to fall short of a 5 star meal. The lobster and sea scallop courses were slightly overcooked and chewy, and our server was stumped several times when we inquired about course ingredients. Over all, though, it was worth the $1300 price tag for two. And that's saying something.

We had the Grand Degustation menu with the wine pairings. All 16 courses were perfect. Visually they were all stunning - many obviously plated with tweezers in hand. The flavors blended perfectly and each course enhanced the last. The nice surprise at the end of a gift - printed menus of our meal, a gift book of the restaurant and a lemon cake - were very special. Definitely a once in a lifetime meal that we will always remember.

After going to Robuchon for many years now we had the feeling, that both food quality and service are not that good anymore. Many of the service staff that have been there for years left, the new waiters are on the level of an inexperienced trainees. One of the courses (duck) was even unedible, had to send it back. Foie gras was full of veins and duck meat way to fatty.

My husband and I had the 16 course tasting menu. It was a meal adventure! Every plate was beyond outstanding, and we knew hours were spent on each. The presentation was just as pleasing on the eye as the taste was on the palate. I know that 16 plates sounds like a lot, and with a bottle of wine, we were very full, but each plate was a small tasting which together created a meal experience that we will remember and speak about to others for years to come. All of the staff and chefs were outstanding and made our 25th wedding anniversary dinner an outstanding night to remember. Thank you!

Nice reception, our table was ready just on time, fine ambience and great service. Unfortunately we couldn't try the whole 'menu degustation', which would cost almost US$500 per person, so we choose a reasonable set menu including an amuse-bouche, an entrée, a main dish, a dessert and 'les mignardises'. Very delicate, very subtle, especially 'la langouste' and the desserts. A great experience indeed, just not for the faint at heart.

With a very relaxed atmosphere, the chefs, staff, and Sommelier at Joel Robuchon delivered on all aspects. In direct comparison to Guy Savoy, the food was better (just as refined but more comforting) and the plating was spectacular (attention to detail, hand drawn designs and unique plates for each dish). The atmosphere is much more relaxed and the staff is friendlier and more approachable. The Sommelier recommended some great vintage wines for our meal and my guests were all very pleased. Overall, best restaurant experience in Vegas! Perfect for small groups, but they also have a larger private dining area. The bread cart alone was worth the trip! Wonderful place for both business and pleasure. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

Outstanding service and great team of waiters. Impressive bread cart and dessert cart. 4 of us did the 16 Course Tasting Menu. Sea food was really disappointing. Both the cod and scallop were supposed to be seared/caramelized. There was no crust on the scallop. 3 were over cooked to the point of rubbery and 1 was undercooked with pink inside. The cod was not caramelized and was over cooked and felt tough. I have dined at other Joel Robuchon restaurants in Singapore and Taiwan but the Las Vegas location is not up to par. I don't know if it was a late Sunday night reservation (9:15 PM) or problem with the chef running the line having an off night but we were disappointed in our experience.

I like how they give the diners the freedom to choose whatever you like instead of 1 table getting the same kind of menu or chefs tasting. So yes, if you prefer getting a main course while the other party at your table is getting 11 courses so you can pick on theirs then you're allowed; different than Melisse & Providence. I'm giving this a 4 star because I was famish upon our arrival and was experiencing hunger pains. The service of just giving us a menu took too long. Not all of the dishes we received were delicious, I'd expect that from a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Everyone will have different experiences.
