  • "We were visiting with Family and needed a round table to be able to talk. The staff was helpful and the food was very good. I would certainly recommend. "

  • "What keeps me coming back to Joe Theismann's is the shrimp and lobster bisque, but don't be mistaken; all the food is absolutely incredible!! We have the filet mignon that melted in your mouth. It was cooked to perfection. Everything we tasted was just as good. The wait staff is incredible and welcoming and we enjoyed the entire experience. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the D.C. area. See you soon!!"

  • "The food was very good. The service was slow at times, but the place was mobbed. A bit noisy for good conversation, but we enjoyed it."

  • "I usually don't like what good be termed sports bars because they are usually rather noisy and have limited menus. Here, the food is excellent as is the service. And it's not all that noisy at all. The seating is also first rate too."

  • "This was my first time dining at Joe Theismann's Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. My server (James) although new, was attentive and very helpful and suggesting items from the menu try. Also, the parking with validation made it even better. I will be sure to return as I had a great time and the food was excellent."

  • "i will start positive. the beer was cold. the fries are great. the menu is decent for a sports bar. prices are reasonable. now the nitty gritty. the hostesses just nodded and smiled- pretending to accommodate our very easy request for seating. they got it wrong. the server nodded and smiled- pretending to hear our order- she got it wrong, three items out of five items ordered. she got it wrong. the bathrooms were needing a scrub down. the tvs (we are talking about a sports bar after all) were too far for folks in the dining area to see anything at all. the restaurant could use an overhaul. looking a bit dated. and yes, i know we are talking about a sports bar. time to step it up."

  • "This was just the kind of restaurant we were looking for after a day of sight seeing in D.C. Not to fancy but comfortable and the food was excellent. The prices were good for what they offered."

  • "It's not fine dining. It's noisy. It doesn't pretend to be anything more. The food was okay and prices were not bad. Wine bottle prices were very good. Kiddos didn't like the kid menu. The chicken was too spicy. Salads are huge and entrees could feed a family. Our server was new and nice but needed more time with a manager or experienced server. Overall it was okay. I don't think I would go back again for dinner but drinks and bar food would be fine."

  • "Always a great place to eat. Excellent menu and specials. Food consistently good. Have been there for date night, dinner with another couple, special family occasions, New Years Eve, etc., etc. Energetic and sports-themed but not a "sports-bar" feel."

  • "My wife and I have been to Joe Theismann's with upwards to 12 people and at other times just the two of us. The service is outstanding, the food is extremely good (had a lot of things from the menu) and the staff makes you feel extremely welcome. Great food, beer and wine choices. We have been to Theirmann's at least 10 times in the past year and have never been disappointed."

  • "There were 4 of us in the group all had different selections. The ribs and salmon were the favorities of the group."

  • "I made a reservation for Theismann's for a second date, and it was great. There is a parking garage (they validate parking up to 3 hours) right next to the restaurant, and you can even enter the restaurant right from inside the garage. There is an outdoor dining area and some tables inside that have a beautiful view of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial. The food was good (chicken caesar salad, corned beef & cabbage, and pretzel rolls), and the service was friendly and attentive."

  • "Had been to JT several times in the past and always liked it. Was not sure, but went there for Valentine's Day. Just as in the past, it was a positive experience with good food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. There was a special menu for two option for Valentine's Day which was reasonably's priced and gave choices that were different and delicious."

  • "We both ordered the pork chop dinner and it was delicious - large chop, perfectly cooked, with mashed potatoes and baked apples - yum! Dessert was also yummy Rated 4 rather than 5 as we sprung the few extra $ for the Caesar salad and it was not very good. We enjoyed it and will go back soon."

  • "This place is great for families, provides a relaxed atmosphere, and has great food! I like that they have bar food, sandwiches, and more sophisticated dishes for those with a mature palate. This place has something for everyone. When the weather is warm, I love sitting outside to get a view of the masonic temple."

  • "My husband and I went to Theismann's during Alexandria's Restaurant Week. The "special" menu for that week didn't sound great, so we ate from the main menu. The food was delicious and delivered quickly, despite the crowd. We had drinks, soup, salad, entrée, and dessert. Our waiter was patient and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The wait was probably 20-30 minutes with a reservation. The bar area was packed and jumping all night -- probably because the drinks tasted fantastic. My only complaints are the tiny waiting area and the hostess failed to mention that the parking garage could be accessed through the restaurant. We walked around (in 14 degree weather) trying to access our car after the garage closed. (Theismann validates!)"

  • "We got a table for 8 at this place, food was actually really good, everyone got something different and everyone was surprised of the quality of food. Service was good at the table, and at the bar, bartenders were good too. Overall great experience and plan on going back! This was a special occasion for my friends and family and the restaurant made it really easy and great. Made me look good for picking the place. Prices are moderate, but food is upscale, delicious, great variety and lots of delicious and healthy options. Go JOE!"

  • "Every couple of months we make the trek from Centreville for a nice dinner in a great atmosphere.Depending on the evening we might go into the quiet back area for a romantic evening or take a table near the front tbut private enough to enjoy each other but also glimpse up at the tv from time to time to check on the games. My lady enjoys the food and the atmosphere as do i,and i enjoy the sports atmosphere and the neighborhood feeling. Also the 35 minute drive from Centreville makes it feel like a little bit of an escape from the every day....Nice job...keep up the good work.."

  • "I guess the night before New Year's eve is a hard night to get the wait staff motivated or it seemed that way with our server. She barely articulated the specials and didn't mention that the Caesar "dressing" option was actually a Caesar salad that cost an extra $2. Not going to argue over an extra $2 but it was a surprise when we got the check. My wine was plopped down on the tabe so hard it almost spilled out of the glass. The food was very good though and we weren't disappointed by the meal. The service could have been a little more professional and typical of what we usually get at this restaurant."

  • "This was my second time visiting and first formal date with my girlfriend. I made reservations via opentable while deployed and it was extremely easy to start NYE off right. The prices are very affordable for the options offered and the good tastes great. Both occasions I have had great, friendly service and would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nicer meal with sports throughout."
