Everyone's food was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised at the portions ( how many times have you gone out for a nice expensive dinner and been disappointed with the price vs food disconnect). I should mention that our server Michael was great; professional, friendly and attentive. A lot going on, what I call "instant party", very pleasant staff, and "Monsier Frenchie" does a great job at hosting his clients! The fresh halibut this time was outstanding. Terrace not open, but have been there and love it. ... and everyone loves and Oyster Bar. Upon arrival, there were personalized menus created wishing her a Happy Birthday. Decor has not changed since the 1980s. Food is reliable but not on the cutting edge, tough to get a bloody steak but easy to get a tough one. That said the oysters and other seafood is excellent. I had an open face steak sandwich and quite frankly, in all the times that I have dined around Vancouver, that was the first time I saw a medium serloin steak properly done. I was pleasantly surprised when my steak also came with some unusual looking Onion rings. I thought they were doughnuts at first =) I tried them and they were Yummy ! My kids had the fish and chips Blue Meal and my wife had the pasta and they were equally awesome!
