We dine there before Blues games since there is no sit down dining at the Scottrade Center. We go there for the location but generally find the food is good. This night service was slower than usual, but not horrible. Food quality is good with the BBQ ribs being the best of the 4 meals we had. Plus the house salad dressing is excellent.

Always good Sports Bar food. One of the better Bar-B-Que restaurants in St. Louis. Great spot to eat before the Cardinals and Blues games. Convenient to each venue. Always very good food with excellent service level. Has become the regular stop before sporting events. I highly recommend for excellent casual dining.

Food and service has always been good at this restaurant at reasonable price for downtown st. Louis. looks like chairs and tables were starting to need updated. When I pull my chair up to the table I noticed fingers got stuck on staples underneath which is kind of concerning!

This is located close to Busch stadium and is perfect if you want something casual but don't feel like ballpark food. We ordered entree size Cobb salads and they were delicious. I notice the burger and fries that other diners had and they looked great. I would definitely eat here again. They do have a small parking lot in back and will give you a validation if you dine here. We ate on the patio which was very nice. Definitely noisier inside but that is what you expect with a place like this.

This is a great place to meet and eat before a Cardinals game - it's just a short walk down the street from Busch Stadium. The service was friendly and efficient and my server helped me to choose from the menu. I had a small salad, the 2 meat rib combo with the brisket and pulled pork, and for dessert, the wonderful caramel butter cake. All very tasty indeed. It doesn't set out to be fine dining - just great comfort food, and it is successful in that endeavour - I would definitely come here again.

This place has really gone down hill. The special was burnt ends. They were anything but special and not like burnt ends we have enjoyed at local BBQ restaurants. My wife's French dip sandwich was too much bread and the meet was not good. In a prior visit, my daughter reported that the cobb salad (which used to be a staple at Joe Buck's) was very bad. We won't be back.

Dined prior to Cardinals game, which I have done dozens of times. Not sure what happened but the meal was terrible. Friends ordered burgers, and both of them got burgers that were way overdone and yet were served cold. That's tough to do ! My BBQ plate included turkey lunchmeat as the smoked turkey portion. And grainy turkey lunchmeat at that. Really bad overall including indifferent service. We would have sent it all back but needed to make the game on time. In retrospect we still should have sent it back as it was unacceptable. I have been a fan but no more.

Overall, not bad. Main/Major problem is they shorten the menu on game day. Can't get steaks, etc. they say too time consuming. Bad excuse. Food served is good, staff great, but don't shorten the menu, hire an extra cook or 2.

The food was good. Not a large selcetion, tho. The service was terrible!! Waited on the host to seat us for 10 minutes and then another 20 minutes before we even saw our waiter. We ordered an appetizer and our food was brought to the table 5 minutes after the appetizer. We got offered one refill on our drinks. The entire staff acted they had no interest in being there. I realize that it is not the greatest job, however, they took the job knowing that. Will not return.

My husband & I had a weekend get away to St Louis. JBucks was recommended to us by a friend. We were enjoying a double header Cardinal baseball game & decided to have lunch at JBucks in between the game. The staff was great, very friendly, very helpful, & very prompt. The food was delicious. The portions were generous, in fact we skipped dinner that night because we were still so full from lunch! The atmosphere was fun & the crowd was diverse. We will definitely be returning!

A friend recommended Joe Buck's for after the Packer game. The Cardinal game had already started, so the place was nice and quiet. We were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive, even bringing out a sample of one of the meat items we had never heard of, (Burnt Ends??? I ended up ordering them!) The award winning wings were great! Our orders arrived quickly. Everybody enjoyed there meals. Two of us had the two meat platters, another the chicken tenders, and my wife had a special salad. I had read other reviews ahead of time that spoke negatively about the service and food and found the opposite to be true. Maybe with a large group or during a "Cardinal rush" it might be a different story. We had a great time!

Joe Buck's by the ballpark is a good option for casual dining before the game at a reasonable price. I was able to get a reservation through open table just a few hours before the game. The service was slow, especially for the food.

I think it was probably just an 'off' night, either for the restaurant or for our waiter, but service was horrible. Had a group of 14 and, even after asking him to come in to take drink orders, took another 5 people arriving (and asking 2x more) before we got his attention. The appetizers then arrived before the drinks (and not even for all - in total, some people waited over 20 minutes before their first beverage arrived). When he got some assistance (randomly) service was fine - but he was either distracted or is just never attentive. Was the only time I've been that upset about the pre-added gratuity.

Stopped in before the Jackson Browne concert at Peabody. Although it was a cardinals home game, it was crowded, but good still came out timely and it was all very good! Definately recommend the humus appetizer! Call ahead seating was the way to go! Table was ready as requested. Great dining experience. Service was slower than usual due to volume but server was apologetic and it did not deter the dining dining experience.

Went to Joe Bucks for lunch prior to seeing the Cardinals play the Marlins on July 4th. Food was great, brisket and pulled pork had a lot of flavor. We sat in the bar area and the bartender was very friendly and gave us the voucher for parking. Since this was our first visit we did not know what to expect and we were very happy. We came back after the game to have another drink and something to eat since traffic was backed up and we wanted to wait it out. We sat at the bar again and the bartender came right up and said "two more Stella drafts"? He remembered us even tho he was working his butt off being the only bartender we saw behind the bar! We will definitely recommend Joe Bucks to our friends and return again next time in town.
