We were seated in front of a large party and when they went to leave they were trapped. Mother slid her chair to the side while this party tried to exit with elderly family members. Another table had people stand so customers could exit the main isle. I do understand the need to fill a restaurant to capacity, but infringing on your customer's space (not to mention service personnel) is extremely annoying. Let's try to remember there are plenty of people who attend holiday gatherings that are elderly and have wheelchairs/walkers/canes and/or need assistance. Both times I was in town on a business trip. The food is terrific, and I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a menu dedicated to their Gluten free foods. Wonderful bar staff, who are attentive and on top of things. I could tell the staff was working extra hard to make sure everything ran smoothly - and it did. Our drinks and food came out fresh and on-time. We did not feel rushed and our server even helped us with a small cake we brought in for the occasion. We left a good tip - they earned it. We had to deal with a higher noise level from the prom goers, but they were well mannered and added an interesting little twist to the experience.
We will definitely go back again. Our tab for 2-rounds of drinks and steak dinners for 7 was $328. While the food was really very good, the service was what I will remember. The waitress (whose name, sadly, I didn't get) was friendly, informative and fun. Our plan was to be there for a good long time, and she was great about not rushing us. Many times that is a problem: the restaurant wants you in and out so they can serve more people.
