Entertainment: Jimmy Love"s feature live music 7 nights a week. we offer jazz and blues from 6:30-11:00pm Sunday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays we offer top 40 dance music with a broad range of dance bands that offer music from the 70's, 80's, 90's, as well as modern day to 40 hits. We also offer a dj and music videos on two levels. Our lower level bar and dj features mild hip hop as well as top 40 hits, and the upper level features mainly top 40 hits.

Parking Details: Parking is located one block away on the corner of 6th Avenue and Market St.. The City of San Diego does allow metered street parking up to 6pm, after which time there is no charge to park on the street.

Jimmy Love"s is a classic American restaurant, bar, and nightclub featuring live music 7 nights a week. We feature live jazz and blues from 6:30-10:00pm Sunday-Thursday, on Friday and Saturday we offer top 40 dance music from 10pm-1am. Our menu consists of contemporary cuisine featuring steak,… seafood, pasta, pizza, soups and salads, as well as a variety of appetizers. We are open 7 days a week at 5pm, we do offer happy hour from 5-7pm daily.Continued

"I picked the place because it was close to the comedy club we were going to that evening. The service was good, place was clean and the food was pretty good. Two of us got the Mahi Mahi and it was "okay", but you can't have everything. I was in San Diego all week and there are tons of restaurants around so it's tough to be perfect. I would go back again."

"Sunday night is typically a quiet night, at Jimmy Love's Sunday night is Jazz night, like every other night. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere vibrant. Jimmy Love's is a great place to go with a crowd and have a good meal and some great jazz"

"I was pleasantly surprised by the transformation of the place for Valentine's Day. The Jazz band playing music in the background completed the romantic ambiance. The waiters and personnel were courteous and friendly but it did take a while for food to be brought to the table. The food presentation and flavor made it worth the wait. All in all, I'd have dinner here again."

"This was our 1st time dining at J.Loves. I was apprehensive due to the reputation for more of a "bar scene" than a restaurant. I was impressed with the drinks made perfectly to our liking. We had the Ahi Appetizer, I would def recommend this, was delish! The salads were very good also, ceasar & house. Hubby and I ordered fish. His Halibut was good, but not great IMHO, my sea bass tasted like it was a bad piece of fish. I took 2 bites and just could not finish it. Our server handled it perfectly tho, they replaced my entree with another, I just got the Popcorn chicken which was good (hard to mess up tho) and they took my fish off the bill. All in all, not impressive enough for a return visit, sorry."

"Very noisy, service fairly unattentive, a good fish (halibut) way overcooked, which was too bad because the dish had some good potential. TVs all over - feels much more like a sports bar than a good restaurant. Too expensive for what it offered. Would not recommend to friends, probably won't go back."

"The food was just okay but definitely overpriced. We went for the live music and that was great. Ask for a seat away from the sort on the winter time though. They like to keep the door open so people outside can hear the music and it gets chilly."

"Went here with a few friends, the food was amazing and the band was great, but the service was a little slow. I found myself wondering if the waiter was ever coming back. The band was great, but a little loud, sometimes making it hard to hear others at our table and it made ordering difficult. Fun for a group but wouldn't be a great spot for a romantic evening. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar before our reservation time. The bartender was great, and super friendly. Gave great dinner advice."
