Private Party Facilities: Private dining rooms are separated from the main dining room by sliding pocket doors. Luxurious French doors are used to further enhance the space while still allowing views of the restaurant. Our larger banquet room offers comfortable seating for parties of 40 guests nestled next to a stone mantle fireplace. Our more intimate private room accommodates 12 guests with ease in a secluded corner of the restaurant perfect for meetings or celebrations. Both areas offer audio and video capabilities. Jimmy G's is the perfect destination for your next holiday party, business dinner, or social outing.

A word from Jimmy G's

At Jimmy G's, the evolution and sophistication is provided by an Art Nouveau meets "Mad Men" design style with black granite floors, red wood paneling with large black and white framed portraits. Steel arc lamps reinforce the modern, mid-century aesthetic. Maintaining the existing layout, the space… is divided into three interconnection sections: the lounge bar, a central dining room, and two private dining/banquet areas. Guests enter from the street, down a mysterious stairwell through an arched entry way into the restaurant. In the main dining room, shades of yellow dominate, with mustard seat cushions on white lattice backed chairs. Additional seating in the form of elevated U-shaped booths are great for watching all the excitement of the dining room.Continued

"The lighting in certain areas is a little too dark. For our expectations, it was good food, over-priced for not outstanding. Was it a good meal? Yes. Is it something we have to go back to? No."

"We had a late dinner, and strolled into the unique entry to find a welcoming lobby. I have read mixed reviews about decor, but personally enjoyed it. Once you get what they were trying to do with the space it makes sense once you walk around the restaurant. The bar is vibrant, the back dining room cozy. I really liked the flooring, and the hostess area. Food was the best part, had a filet (split)mac and cheese and their take on a tomato and Mozz salad. Did not get to try dessert but will next time. I would encourage you to give this place a shot, and to get some things to share. We have eaten in the bar there a few times, and have not been disappointed at any level yet."

"I was disappointed after trying Jimmy Gs for the 1st time. To begin with, their entrance could not be more understated and hidden. The signage alone should have signaled "AVERAGE"....
Our waiter was clueless, reading the menu over my shoulder when asked about a particular dish. They were out of two of the entrees, and the "bone-in strip steak" was just a normal strip steak. The usual tomato and mozzerella salad that I asked to be served with my steak, showed up as a bowl of pearl onions, grape tomatoes and unidentifiable vegetables. They pipe techno music into the restaurant which completely eliminates any 'classic' steakhouse feel, and the white patio furniture chairs were as tacky as it gets. I expected a classic steakhouse. This is not."

"The food and service were outstanding. Katie was our server and she knew the menu and ingredients that make many of the dishes extremely tasty. People in our pparty raved about the scallops, the dry aged, melt in your mouth steak and especially the 12 spice moroccan lamb shank. We shared many apetizers and desserts that were all excellent. It was a Thursday and a band began to play after 8 whiched added to the energy level. This is a special place with a great chef."

"Went on a Tuesday evening, very few diners there that evening. Great service from waitress who knew the menu well (name was Katie) and was very attentive. Food was excellent - shrimp tomato bisque was super, and the scallops were perfect. Nice presentation."

"As always, Jimmy Gibson and his loyal crew do not disappoint. Every dish was done to perfection. Gibson's unique view on ingredients and beautiful artistic presentation makes all his dishes special. I've seen other reviews questioning the decor in the dining room, I say to them, GET A GRIP, the decor rocks! Get out of your conservative Cincinnati mind-set and welcome the new view. We arrived for an early dinner and brought our teenage daughters and their grandmother and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I've visited Jimmy G's several times with colleagues and family and have been comfortable and welcomed with each group. Diverse crowd is what makes this downtown establishment work."
