Food was delectable. It is an expensive place though, not an everyday dining kind of restaurant. Our 4 person dinner without wine cost $220...and I ordered the gnocchi as my main course to help defray the cost...everyone ordered a soup or salad but no one ordered particularly extravagantly (though we did get two desserts).4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMSlow paced and lovelyLovely meal. Leisurely paced. People nearby but not seated on top of us. We were seated near a lighted display of stained glass vases. Of the 8 meals served to other tables, 6 were steaks. People appeared to enjoy them. The other two people annoyingly ordered every course with table side presentation.
My husband chose the duck two ways, the confit was removed from the bone and the portion was overshadowed by the breast. He enjoyed both but would have preferred more confit.
I chose the pork shank. It was served with polenta and a wonderfully flavorful gravy. We received a nice but not spectacular amuse bouche.
