Meals of the day are displayed by a friendly waiter on the IPad to temp your selection. This is an authentic supper club serving its vegetable crudity plate and salad bowl at your table. The prime rib was lean and tasty with the additional coating of a horseradish crust. A nice selection of wine and reasonably priced cocktails. Dessert was over the top - a pecan cheesecake and a cup of Irish coffee completed a wonderful meal. It took us about 45 minutes to get to the menu. OUr server was very patient and took cues from us. She was very good. The food was very good, we all had the sirloin and it was very very good. We were the last to leave and employees were going about their business of closing up, the weather was very bad outside but no one tried to rush us out. The staff was amazingly attentive from time we sat down until we left. Our meals were served quickly and were delicious down to the last bite. We received a surprise dessert at the end of our meal as the server had noticed the anniversary cards we had exchanged with each other laying on the table.
I have never been disappointed in my visits to Jensen's. It's a great place for romantic dinners, celebrations of special events (we had a party of 30+ when celebrating parents 40th anniversary. They also were not cooked to medium which was what we ordered. We managed, but noticed the difference. I was with a group of 6, 3 couples, and their was a lot of confusion in spliting the bills, charging the right cards, and I also had a groupon. So, the meal was great, but it took a long time after we were finished eating, for us to actually be able to leave, about 30 additional minutes. They wanted Walleye for dinner and I knew the place to go was Jensen's. Always good food. We had a little problem with the food but the manager fixed the problem. The martini was excellent, plus they gave you the shaker with a little extra in it. From the high backed booths to the live crooning, it was a fabulous supper club experience. The walleye with crab cake was a generous serving and perfectly done. My wife's steak was cooked to perfection.
