Diner Reviews
  • "Food is always good here. We have gone here for years and have always had a great meal and good service."

  • "It is a great restaurant. I ❤️ the popovers and butter. The mandarin orange salad is very fresh tasting. The service was excellent. I am excited to try the new patio for outside dining🍴"

  • "Fantastic service and our food was great! The waitress very friendly and and very attentive . My wife wants to go back soon and have the same steak and soup!"

  • "If you like Jensen's Supper Club, you will be disappointed by Jensen's Food & Cocktails. Prices have gone up and food quality has gone down. The favorite filet and lobster is gone. We were told we could add a lobster tail to the filet for an extra $24. Family sides and steak toppings are gone. They choose a scoop of mashed potatoes and 3 small asparagus stalks for you. Won't be going back."

  • "My husband and I went there for my birthday. My daughter told us how good the food was and that we should eat here. The food was very good, our waiter brought me a birthday cake it was beautiful. We had a great time."

  • "not real happy w/ new menu was rushed by wait person"

  • "We arrived and our friends surprised my wife on her 50th, we had a table for 5 but then asked to add 3 more. They were accommodating but it took forever to get a table, they were not busy at all. We ended up in the banquet room just us 8, which was okay, but it was freezing in there and the service was very slow for not being busy. I will admit they apologized for the slow service. Hope with the outlet mall they have better service."

  • "This is a wonderful place for a romantic dinner! Our server was terrific, striking just the right balance of "out of sight but always available". The food was great ... you have to try the Walleye! Their on-line presence was very helpful, too. Reservations were very quick and easy to make on-line, and I consulted their menu and location map. I would highly recommend Jensen's!"

  • "Service was very slow. We were never asked if we wanted another water or cocktail even though our glasses were empty. Took forever to even get our order taken. We were there at 5:30 on a Monday night, they were not busy at that time. Saw her standing talking a couple times."

  • "Love Jensen's for dinner and was anxious to try it for lunch as I work nearby. However, was disappointed with the limited lunch menu. Price for a burger seemed high for lunch. One in our party missed being able to order fries with his burger. Our server and everyone else was wonderful, but took a bit too long for those of us who had to get back to the office. Food was great, service wonderful, just not what was expected for lunch. Will definitely be back for cocktails and dinner."

  • "We have been to Jensen's about 10 times over 15 years, we always know what to expect, great service, great food, great Martini's, and all at a very reasonable price! We have never had a bad experience, or been disappointed."
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "We were concerned that with the renovation, the supper club atmosphere would be lost. To our relief, Jensen's is still a very comfortable dining experience with excellent service, popovers and the food was delicious. We'll keep coming back."

  • "My wife and I went to Jensen's Supper Club for our Anniversary Dinner. It was Outstanding. We love this place. The Changes to the menu was great. We would recommend this to everyone. We had the Lobster Cake and they were wonderful. The Walleye dishes were great."

  • "Would give everything a very good. There is one thing though for certain people that should be avoided. The steak was good and the waiter said it is wet aged 21 days. My wife has certain allergy problems and found later that the wet aging process contains compounds which she cannot tolerate. If you have no such problems then it is fine. We had enjoyed our meal and would recommend for most. Quite popular place it seems. We are new to the area and this was our only experience"

  • "First time tasting their new lunch menu and there are many dishes I want to try - so that means returning many times!"
    Dined on 8/6/2014
  • "We have been dining here 4-5 times a year for several years. Recently they had a renovation and changed their menu and facility slightly. In general the place is still quite outstanding with top notch food, but does not offer some of the previous things we really enjoyed. They no longer have the complimentary veggie plate, the popovers are about half as large as before, the mandarin salad is now a single plate rather than family style, there is no special early dining menu, prices are up a bit, and the service we had was a bit slower than we have been accustomed to here. Overall still a fine meal in a fine setting, but not quite as enjoyable as before."

  • "We had a great time and the food and service was wonderful. The only comment I would have is that the booth we sat in is directly below an AC vent and when the air was running it was very cold."

  • "This is our absolute favorite restaurant. Service is always exceptional, food is wonderful. Always feel welcome and well taken care of. Highly recommended to anyone."

  • "We enjoyed our recent dinner at the new and improved Jensens. We didn't see many changes inside but the menu had some new items and they were very good."
    Dined on 8/2/2014
  • "Everything was excellent, food and service, with the exception of the placement of the booth in which we sat. A/C vent was right above us and every time the unit kicked in we were blasted with COLD air. I think a diverter to pass the air further out into the small dining room where we sat would be a good idea. Then it wouldn't be forced down right on patrons below. Or for a more comfortable evening at our next visit we will be conscious as to where we are seated. It was the first visit for my friend who was very impressed. And I must add that the remodel was justified and looks awesome!"

  • "We are several times a year diners at Jensen's. Their recent renovation is very nice and the food is excellent as always. Our last visit started by sitting in a booth next to an older couple who were having a rather loud political discussion. We asked to be moved and were accomodated immediately. The rest of the evening was quite pleasant with excellent food and service."

  • "My family has been coming to Jensen's for all of our special occasions for over 15 years. We were there to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary Saturday night. I expected some changes but I was very surprised at how many. Disappointed that the salad you always served would no longer be on the menu soon. Popovers were over done (dark brown almost burnt) and quite a bit smaller than before. My steak was over cooked and tasted like saw dust. No more family style baked potatoes. And to top off the dinner the brownie was frozen and we couldn't even get our forks into it. Over all I dont think that we will be back. We were always excited to go to your establishment we knew the food would be wonderful and the ambience would be cozy"

  • "Over 10 years of dining at Jensens and still love it! New menu is wonderful, best walleye in the cities! Had a wonderful twin bacon wrapped filet and crab cakes! This is a wonderful restaurant for family get together's, special occasions and just plain fun!"

  • "Have always enjoyed dining at Jensen's. One thing we loved was the little relish plate that came as we were seated...don't get that anymore. The popover was okay; nothing special. Salad was very ordinary. The prime rib was excellent..a thick, 12 ounce slab of perfectly prepared meat. Walleye was good, but accompanying potatoes were slightly overdone. Martini was great, as usual. Server Chris was very attentive."

  • "My husband and I took friends to Jensen's on Thursday evening. This was their first experience at this restaurant. They will be back! Every time we dine there I feel special. The food is always cooked to perfection & presented well, the drink menu is impressive and the restaurant is charming. I had the surf and turf (a petite filet with the sautéed walleye. My husband also had the sautéed walleye. The walleye is one of our favorites. Our friends had the Rib-eye Steak and the Halibut Special. Both said their dinners were excellent. After dinner, us girls had a Brandy Alexander. Just the right finish to a special evening. Oh, and not to forget, Jensen's has incredible pop-overs!"

  • "I've been going to Jensen's Supper Club for years, and always love it. They just remodeled, opened an outdoor patio, and are now open for lunch as well. The lunch menu looks great, and I look forward to going back again!"

  • "We don't live here full time so don't get to Jensen's as often as we'd like. We always know the food will be great but this time we were impressed with the decor as well. It is really pretty! The evening special was halibut & it was wonderful as was my husbands walleye oscar. The drinks were very good also. Love those Cosmopolitans! The outdoor patio seating looked very nice also but we opted for inside this time."

  • "The overall experience was very pleasant . Great service and food.... POPOVERS are the BEST."
    Dined on 7/27/2014
  • "The bacon on the wrapped steak filet was very underdone and was not able to be eaten. It was not able to be cut due to it's under cooked state. It needed to be removed and set aside. The steak itself was great. The walleye was spectacular."

  • "We went with another couple. Really enjoyed our pre-dinner cocktails. The food overall was pretty good. Can't beat the pop overs. They have ditched the relish tray, which is fine. I had the "beef flight" - cool idea with 3 different cuts of meat. The ambience was very nice. It's the first restaurant I have been to where the temperature was just right (didn't freeze like I typically do in over-air conditioned places)."

  • "Even though we've been at Jensen's for years, we still love it. New menu is different but excellent. Would hope they might add a few more selections, but what they serve is OUTSTANDING! Too warm to sit on patio, but it looks fabulous!"

  • "love the new menu! salads are great, expanded appetizers and choices are appreciated. can't wait to try them for lunch need to expand "by the glass" wine choices though"

  • "Jansen's has been a favorite of ours for many years. Saturday was our first time dining with the new menu. We were very pleased with everything that we ordered. We like it so much better now that the menu is no longer a la carte. The prime rib dinner and twin filets wrapped in bacon plus three broiled shrimp were tender and flavorful. The sides added by the chef were perfect. We left knowing we had just been treated to a great dinner and taken care of by a very attentive wait staff. Looking forward to our next visit to Jensen's."

  • "Two people in our group had to send our meals back (steak) because they were cold. Didn't see our waitress very often either."
    Dined on 7/23/2014
  • "Food, as usual was excellent. Cost is on the high side and it will limit the number of times we go there."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "The food was good and the service excellent but I have two complaints; 1. I'm just not used to paying $39.00 for a 9oz fillet. At least not in Minnesota; add wine and appetizers and complements and the bill is really out of the park. 2. Extreme dairy. Let's get a little creative here. From the appetizers to the desserts and everything in between it was almost impossible to get away from the cheese and cream. Could we have a few choices that were delicious on their own merits and not dependent on rich, creamy sauces and overlays of cheese for their flavor? Fresh flavors that are more dependent on seasonings and flavors than heavy, artery clogging dairy? Jensen's needs to consider updating their menu for the new decor."

  • "Jensen's never fails! The food and the service are always wonderful!"
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "Our first visit since Jensen's reopened was disappointing. They have added potatoes and a vegetable to each entrée, garlic mashed or gouda hashbrowns. They are not hashbrowns, they were cold, and not tasty. Jensen's hashbrowns are still offered as a side for which you pay extra. Vegetable was listed as sautéed spinach and leeks. Two wilted spinach leaves and a small piece of leek under the hashbrowns is not a vegetable. The relish tray is gone. Salads were skimpy. Dressing choices were limited and did not appeal to me. The prime rib was flavorless and salty. The lobster tail was overcooked and dry. Goodbye Jensen's."

  • "It had been a while since we had been to Jensen's for dinner. We had some out of town friends in for the week and decided that this would be a great dining experience. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. It was a very enjoyable evening."

  • "Food was very good! I had the steak oscar and the lobster cake was a special treat. The only change I might suggest is to expand your wine list."
