  • "Just what the occasion ordered...great food (seafood risotto, yum!), great service, & ambience."

  • "I don't generally care for scallops and had planned to pick them out, but theirs were cooked perfectly and I ate them up! The mushroom artichoke dip was also very good. The fried artichokes on the salad were also a nice touch."

  • "Service was a little slow even bough there weren't many people there but the food was good and fairly inexpensive. I would definitely visit again"

  • "This place has a delicious menu. We always have a great dinner there. Ask for a window seat on the second level. That way you can have a wonderful dinner with a delightful view of 4th Street."

  • "Went with another couple. Both men are said their steaks were the best they had had. I had the salmon which was also very good. Our waitress was new but very accommodating! Will go there again and again - especially since it so close to our favorite theater - a/perture."

  • "Good food - lunch and dinner. Moderately priced. Hate downtown parking. Why don't restaurants downtown offer valet service?"

  • "Seafood Risotto and Pumpkin Ravioli were both excellent. Great list of craft beers and wine. Service was pretty slow, especially for a small crowd on a friday night. We felt particularly ignored once we were finished with our meal and were waiting for our check. Very convenient location - adjacent to a parking garage and very close to Aperture Cinema and some of the better bars on 4th st."

  • "I have eaten at Jeffrey Adams several times. The food is always delicious. It is a favorite restaurant of mine. The ambience is great. The staff are always pleasant and efficient."

  • "This is the first time that I have eaten at Jeffrey Adams, but it definitely will not be the last. I was very impressed with everything from the minute we walked into the restaurant........a very friendly greeting up front, outstanding service, good wine, excellent food, impeccable decor, and an awesome ambiance. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and have already done so to several friends!!!"

  • "The restaurant is in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem with a great view of the city - especially from the second floor! The food was average and drinks were strong. The service, however, was horrible. My boyfriend and I went to Jeffery Adams for a nice night out together. We had several drinks, an appetizer and decently priced entrees. Our server tried everything in her power to get us the heck out of there. We were rushed and felt extremely uncomfortable. She was unappreciative and rude to us. It was very disappointing."

  • "Nice menu selection. Properly cooked steaks. Very nice selection of sides. Sauces tend to be a bit heavy. A finer and more delicate balance would make the plate even better. We will be back."

  • "Nice atmosphere. Great service. Chef ran out of arugula. French onion soup too salty. Bisque best I have ever tasted."

  • "My husband and I previously dined here on our date night. We were so impressed we decided to return with our family. Each of our four children, ages 16-23, enjoyed their meal. The steaks were a little under cooked, medium rare instead of medium. However, we all loved the Gouda Mac n cheese :) We were able to laugh and enjoy our time together without feeling too awkward about breaking the silence. We saw several families with younger children as well."

  • "Service was terrible! I ordered a glass of wine and did not receive it until moments before I received my meal, which I find that a little absurd. The restaurant was not busy at all so this did not make sense. My friend ordered a glass of red wine with her steak and that glass of wine came after she had finished eating her meal. The food is not great for what you have to put up with to eat there. I will not return, this was my last visit to Jeffery Adams."

  • "Went on customer appreciation night, so 14 oz ribeye was half price (normally) $23. However, that was not a $23 ribeye, it was a $11 ribeye. Reminded me of an Applebee's cut of meet, very thin. Had it been full price I would have been upset. I suspect they used a lessor steak cut for the special. Then they limited the side choices too on this deal. Why do this? The food was ok, but not as good as village tavern (which has parking). I would go back if folks wanted to go, but I would not be the one to suggest it. Wait staff was very good."

  • "Great location, located in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem. We were impressed with the simplicity of the menu. You can tell they have an ample of selection of options for everyone, but they concentrate on what they do best. Chef-inspired, delicious, great portion sizes, excellent craft beers on draft, and interesting cocktails. Great service, we will definitely be back!!"

  • "The food was very good and the service was acceptable. (our waitress was clearly inexperienced but she tried hard, and was cheerful, polite & everything was ok in the end.) The restaurant was much louder than I had expected. Out table of 2 was sandwiched in between the bar and two large parties. The party next to us asked for an additional chair that bumped our table when the guy sat down & effectively trapped my companion for the duration. It was just too crowded for the space."

  • "Went there for a birthday and the waitress was great and brought a free dessert. Got the seafood risotto and it was awesome. The $5 martini was very tasty. Would definitely go back!"

  • "My husband and I found this gym last May on our wedding anniversary. We have been back for my birthday and most recently for Valentine's Day. We LOVE the mushroom artichoke dip! The food is very good and we have had good service when sitting downstairs but this most recent visit our server was not so good. But the delicious food made up for her lack of service. We will be back!"

  • "We had reservations for 8pm, but the place was jammed packed. We had a drink at the excellent bar (couches and fireplace) and were eventually seated at 8:30. We had a table on the second floor, and the ambience was good. The waiter poured a glass of water down my back, but I was OK with it. I knew they had an excellent dark chocolate mousse featured for Valentine's, so I immediately asked that two orders for our group be set aside as soon as we sat down. They were already out. :( Now, despite the issues, the menu options were fresh and creative. Our party of four ordered several different apps and entrée specials. The food was all excellent. I would recommend you give Jeffrey Adams on Fourth a try!"

  • "We really enjoyed our Valentine's day meal at Jeffery Adams on 4th. The lobster mac and cheese was great, we both really enjoyed our entrees. And there was a decent wine list and nothing felt ridiculously expensive. Great choice for a nice night out."

  • "Food was amazing and our server was awesome! Best Valentines Day dinner date ever for my wife and I."

  • "Food was very good but very small proportions it just left you wanting more. Gouda Mac was an awesome side with 4oz filet and crab cake was excellent as well. Would like to go back and try various items on the menu."

  • "Great selection for brunch/lunch. Quality food, always prepared as ordered. Service excellent. We've also had dinner here and it is fantastic. If you order dessert, be sure to get one of their housemade choices."

  • "Four of us dined at Jeffrey Adams after a Sunday afternoon symphony concert. Location couldn't have been more perfect, as it is just steps from the Stevens Center. We were promptly taken to an upstairs table with great views of downtown. Our server was knowledgeable and prompt with a great disposition. The wine selection was excellent and the menu offered a nice eclectic variety. Salads were abundant, crisp and fresh, and our steak entrées were all portioned appropriately for the price and prepared exactly the way we requested. We all passed on dessert - primarily because our dinners were adequate for the evening; however, I would have indulged had a plain cheesecake been available. We will be back again soon."

  • "We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservations and were told it would be aboit 30 minutes for our table. There was two hostesses and they seamed to have no communication with each other because after checking in with one of them the other one kept trying to check me in. We went to the bar upstairs to wait and have some drinks. The bartender was great and the drinks were fantastic. After waiting 45 minutes I went to check on our table and was told by the hostess that she would check on it and it would probably be about 30 minutes. After speeking to a manager we were sat immediately. The food was Great the waitstaff was friendly and everything went very smooth after that. I would return and recommend this restaurant."

  • "First time at Jeffrey Adams. Exceeded our expectations. Met friends their for my wife's 50th birthday - she liked the idea of being able to add a crab cake as a side to her 4 oz filet! Great upstairs table w/ view. Great food. Great wait staff. In fact, a couple of us said it was one of the best places we've eaten recently and want to make sure we come back."

  • "We were very excited about trying this restaurant, but left only slightly satisfied. Some things are good and some not so good. First off, this is a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. However, we were seated at a wobbly table and the waiter service seems to be lacking. Once he took our drink order there was a long wait for him to return to take food order and few follow ups past that. We started with the pot roast nachos which were old and under a heat lamp too long so everything was mush. I got a burger for my entree which was so far beyond well done it tasted like the grill. My wife got risotto which had good seafood but overcooked rice. Overall nice atmosphere and a good place to grab a drink but I will be eating elsewhere."

  • "My wife and I brought our 8-month old son, and the staff were fantastic. They ensured we were at a warm and quiet table. The entrees (filet and seared ahi tuna) were prepared and cooked to perfection. It was a great outing for us."

  • "The food was amazing. Had a bite from a few different appetizers and thoroughly enjoyed the Land and Sea for dinner. Our waitress could have been a bit more friendly, as we were a outgoing, friendly group. She was strictly to the point with no laugh or conversation in between. Other servers that may have stopped by checking on drinks were super friendly. She could have just had a bad night but it's a first impression for those who had never been there. I've had her before during lunch hours so her attitude did throw me off a little. So awesome experience overall, GREAT food and we just had a good time. Tempted to have my birthday dinner there but I'd have to be guaranteed a just as GREAT waiter/waitress!"

  • "All 3 of the people at our table ordered the fried chicken. It was 1 thin chicken breast, 2 stalks of asparagus and a small scoop of mashed potatoes with a little bit of gravy over the chicken and potatoes. All three of us were still hungry when we were done eating. Our server was horrible. Food came out timely but we waited 15 minutes for our waitress to pickup and process the credit card payment. We were never given refills on drinks. She had zero personality."

  • "Wife and I took some friends from out of town here, as it offered the right mix of ambiance, price and quality we were looking for. We got some cocktails and apps to get started and I had a filet which came out a perfect medium rare as requested. Food was tasty and the service was polite and attentive. Only minor knocks would be the wine list is very bottom heavy as it is full of $20-$30 bottles am we would have appreciated a greater selection in the mid-upper range. Other minor criticism would be when our server was quizzed about the menu he was quick with "my favorite is..." without a lot of detail about why. Maybe he doesn't like fish and I do... overall good experience, will come back."

  • "The food and service were top notch. Wait staff was attentive, cordial, and knowledgeable. We dined on Big Eat Tuesday and the sirloin was tender, tasty, and cooked perfectly to our choices. We will definitely return."

  • "We dined here on a Tuesday in January, for their Big Eat special. While we had reservations, we arrived 5 min later than our reservation & had to wait an additional 10-15 min. The waiting area was very ACCOMMODATING, couches next to a fire &TV, and by the bar. Once seated, we enjoyed wine, a dip appetizer, & the sirloin special. However, our service could have been better, as our server was less than attentive. Fortunately the food & wine were FANTASTIC. We will return for the food if nothing else."

  • "It was my fiance's birthday. We had a great time; wonderful food, no rush. Only downside was a VERY noisy table next to us. My fiance is from NYC and he says that Jeffrey Adams' view always reminds him a bit of the ciy."

  • "Food was delicious and server was very attentive. Meal was promptly served. Nice atmosphere although a little cold at front of restaurant near full sized windows. Always enjoy Jeffrey Adams."
