  • "Okay - maybe not forever, but they are SOOO a consideration for 'major food group'. Great service by Kinder: attentive, intelligent and funny. Amazing meals again today: cocktails were super smooth and delicious, Angry Mussels are our favorite - get your own bowl, and the bread elevates sides to a new height. We split the daily pasta - fresh pasta with a drinkable sauce and ripe local tomatoes. We tried the Lobster Roll (Fri/Sat only), and it was the best we've had in ATL so far: chunks of fresh lobster in light sauce which overruled the grilled, buttery bun - loved that there was way more meat than bun, btw. We were so stuffed after sharing, drinking, laughing and relaxing, there was no room for dessert but they're also fab."

  • "From our waitress down to the bus boy, our staff was attentive. All food was prepared to be brought to the table at once, so there were 4 people delivering a plate to each person. Great presentation. Fresh food. The burrata and many different types of tomatoes was a great appetizer as was the peach, cucumber salad, very light, fresh and tasty. I had shrimp and grits, which were wonderful. Two others had the signature fried chicken. Our 4th had the pork chop, which was gigantic and too rare for her, but she sent it back to be cooked more. Personally, a pork chop four inches thick did not excite me. Fried corn and mac and cheese sides were great. Very reasonably priced for such fresh food in a hot spot."

Although we were too stuffed for dessert, the server still made me feel special and brought out a candle on a plate and told me to make a wish :) one thing to note: veggie plate was not that filling for the price."

  • "We recently went for their Sunday Supper and were sadly disappointed. After hearing everyone rave about the fried chicken, we couldn't wait to try it. It was good but no where near as good as Busy Bee or the Colonnade. What was the fuss all about?!?! To make matters worse, they brought out two of the smallest pieces of fried chicken I have ever seen. It was half of a breast and a leg. Honestly?! To make matters even worse, for a table of four, they brought out ONE ear of corn cob cut into four pieces. One. That is ridiculous. Corn is 6 for $2 at the supermarket right now. So while the food is still very good, don't even think about the Sunday Supper at JCT Kitchen, as you will go home hungry and with a hole in your wallet."

  • "Really enjoyed the atmosphere at the restaurant, casual but sophisticated. Can feel comfortable in slacks and polo or in a shirt and tie. The menu was creative and provided options for all kinds of fare with focus on southern classics. I had the fried chicken and bean salad. I never thought a southern classic could be envisioned like this, great taste in the breading and chicken was cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the steak tartar, not something I would try on my own, but had a great taste and the char bread is a great addition to the dish. Our server had the perfect personality for this location, could here the twang in her accent and very personable and knowledgeable about the dishes. definitely will come here again."

Our waiter was friendly, but wasn't around much and brought out wrong things a few different times. The price was fair, the bar scene looked like fun, I'd give that a try.   • "First time diners; party of 5 celebrating a birthday. Shared a couple appetizers - burrata and the deviled eggs. Both great. Entrees ranged from a chicken special to fried chicken to burger to shrimp and grits. All were very good. Entrees went a bit long, both the manager and server came to apologize; server's name was Angel - very attentive yet casual. Manager surprised us with four different desserts including one to celebrate the birthday to make up for the delayed entrees. Desserts were exceptional. Overall a great experience."

  • "Overall, I would say my dining experience was good. We had reservations and and actually arrived 5-10 minutes early. They still sat us. The restaurant was pretty loud. I didn't realize how much we had been yelling at each other to speak until we went to the restroom after the meal was over. The waiter was good at giving his opinions on the wine. He helped us choose and we liked the choice he made. The entree was really great too, even though it's not what I originally went there wanting. I like the lemon heads instead of mints on your way out. I will come back again"

  • "Enjoyed an excellent dinner at JCT. It was quite late when we finished but we did want to try out the dessert. We asked our server for dessert recommendations and he told us to skip dessert at JCT and go next door to an ice cream store. He made said we would be better off and told us that the store stayed open another hour. We listened to the server but found the store already closed. In hindsight, we believe our server was trying to get us to leave so that he could start closing down (even though we were not the last guests in the restaurant). Needless to say, this ended our evening on a sour note."

This time I went with the special panzanella salad and added grilled shrimp to it - which is like $6 or $7 up charge which is not bad but I got 4 shrimp - the salad was delish but next time I will just stay away from the additional add - was not worth it!   • "I went for the Sunday dinner. I had heard good things, so I went in with high expectations. It seemed a little pricey, but $26 did include salad and dessert. Great mac n cheese and corn. The portions were pretty small, so you're definitely not taking leftovers home, but it was still enough. I guess I wasn't overly impressed by the food, but I did love the decor and atmosphere. The service was really good too. I'm glad I tried it once to see what the hype is all about, but I am not excited to return. My boyfriend compared the food to an overpriced Bantam and Biddy."

  • "I have been to JCT in the past. This experience was not very good. We recieved our first 2 courses before any beverages were brought over, not even the iced tea someone ordered. Then get forgot one of the cocktails, which took 5 more minutes to bring. In my opinion, you should not be given 2 out of 4 courses without the wine or beverages. The restaurant was not even full. The food was good. But there are far too many great restaurants in the city to go back to terrible service."

  • "We were there in a Sunday night and the menu is fixed price of 26.00 per person. You have a choice of 5 main dishes and sides with sharing in mind. I rarely eat fried food but at JCT Kitchen the southern fried chicken is the best I have ever had. Crisp, drizzled with a little honey it was the prefect amount of food. I loved the salad with blanched green bean! We had to add an extra guest to our party at the last minute and they were super accommodating! Excellent place to eat in Atlanta!"

  • "We have enjoyed Sunday supper at JCT many times, and always look forward to the wonderful seasonal offerings. This time was also good, with a few exceptions. The salad, while fresh, was served without a drop of dressing. We were not asked if we wanted coffee after the dessert was served, but it was a busy time at the restaurant, with many people waiting. We will be back when we travel to Atlanta on a Sunday evening."

  • "We suggested JCT Kitchen as a great dinner spot to meet some dear old friends. We had only visited once but had a great dinner and thought it would be a great spot to reconnect with some close friends. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable. Jessica was our server and she was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. We ordered the peach appetizer which was fresh and light. All of us ordered different dinners and everyone loved their food. I have to say that the pork chop might have been the highlight. We eat out a lot and can truly appreciate a meal that is not only delicious, but perfectly paced! Every detail was just right so that you never wanted for anything. We can't wait to return!"

  • "My girlfriends and I needed a great dinner spot for our staycation, and loved everything about JCT Kitchen. We started with cocktails upstairs in the outdoor bar area, which had the perfect ambience for a casual drink before dinner. We had a hard time deciding between all the good dinner options. We ended up choosing the fried chicken, hanger steak,Parmesan fries, macaroni and cheese, fresh peaches with prosciutto, and collards. Everything was fabulous! This was the first time at this restaurant for all of my friends, and they really enjoyed it. I live nearby, so JCT has been one of my favorite restaurants for a while. I'm pretty sure you have some new fans now."
