"My parents were in town and I wanted to take them to the best restaurant in town, so of course we went to Jax. We had all four of the oysters that were on the menu as our appitizer.Two of them were OUTSTANDING, one so-so and one actually seemed rotton. We told this to Lee our waiter and he came back to us a few minutes later to say that they took them off of the menu for the night until they could find out more. Well done Lee. My Mom and I ordered the Cod boulibasse and couldn't be happyier. I can honestly say it was the best I ever had. My Dad order the whole rock fish(I think?) and he also LOVED IT! At the end of the meal, Lee brought us sone cheesecake on the house and removed the bad oysters from the bill. Once again, one of best meals"

"Consistently excellent food whenever we go here! Our server was great. The noise level of the restaurant can be a bit loud sometimes. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great seafood with affordable prices. Really good!"

"A little too noisy for me, but I think Happy Hour was probably the reason for that. Will try another time to dine if I return. Was given a gift card otherwise I probably would not have chosen to stay based on the menu selections. Not a big seafood fan!"

"Coming from the northeast originally, we believe Jax understands what we like in our seafood. But then they take it up another notch and without ever losing sight of our desire for the raw oysters, they keep surprising us with unusual combinations of traditional seafoods and salads. Last Saturday we were blown away by the green curry seafood stew on the happy hour menu. It was an outstanding value. And just having returned from a weeklong visit to New Orleans, I can honestly say they have nothing over Jax when it comes to gumbo. We had our asiago french fries topped with the gumbo... unbelievable! Their staff is without a doubt the best there is."

"We have been to Jax many times & have almost always have had good service. However this time was very different. We ordered a drink and then ordered a half dozen oysters on the half shell. 40 minutes later we finally got them. There were numerous times during that 40 minutes that the waiter said they were on they way or "almost ready", but they never came. During the 40 minutes the waiter neglected to ask us if we wanted another drink. My husband asked to see the manager & the waiter said he would get him. 30 minutes later he stopped by. While the restaurant adjusted our bill to make up for the long wait, it was not the fun evening we had hoped for. It will probably be some time before we try it again."

"The Happy Hour small plates were all incredible...The Blue Marlin entree was so delicious we are trying to replicate it to serve it to our friends...Everything was fantastic!"
