  • ".....except!!!----the portions were extremely SMALL! My husband had the pork tenderloin for lunch and it was appetizer size! We walked away from there and he was still hungry. My husband is not a big eater either. The beef and barley soup was delicious as was the Jaspers's salad but we will skip Jasper's next time if we are really hungry."

The staff sat us down right away and kept the kitchen and bar open until we figured out what we wanted. The waitress was wonderful. The food was great. The alcoholic drinks we're perfect I even got the recipe for my drink. Lol but I would definetly recommend it to friends. It's a nice elegant place so the prices match just an FYI."

  • "I've been to Jasper's numerous times over the years it has been open but it seems to have hit it's stride as far as unique and unusual food combinations, ambiance and service. Mena, our server, was attentive and fun, had great suggestions. The food was delicious, the salmon was cooked per our request, the pear salad was to die for. My wine, the Maso Canali Pinot Grigio was delightful and crisp cold, and my date's beer was icy cold per his request. Love the bar and the main dining room, love it when I can eat outside too. Great restaurant."

  • "We looked for any distinguishable issue or item that was not perfect or near perfect. We could not find one. Their appetizers onto their dessert and any course in-between was fantastic. The service was just right, not too pushy or consistently 'over-your-table' but never away when you needed them either. It will cost, but its worth the dinero for an upper-scale dining time."

  • "I think Bon Appetite lost a lot of creditability about claiming that these ribs are the top three in the country. I would be amazed if there was any wood used to "smoke" these ribs. Sorry, but for 28 dollars for the full rack of "top 3 ribs in America" is crazy. I told my wife that I should have just had ribs are Chili's, which I do not like either. The prime rib was good, but it is pretty difficult to screw up a prime rib. Anyway, if you are going to this place for ribs, you will be really disappointed. Unless you like boiled steamed ribs with tomato paste on top. You can go to any BBQ joint in Houston for much cheaper and actually have smoked BBQ."

One item did come out very late and we had to get it "to go" that is the main reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Overall it was a great experience!"

  • "We waited about 20 minutes past our reservation time (8:30 PM) to be seated - a bit annoying but understandable when the restaurant is busy on a Friday night. Our server talked up the Wild Rabbit chili, so we ordered it as an appetizer and then he completely forgot to ring it in and bring it to us. He never even realized it - poor! If you are going to upsell, upsell, upsell, then you have to remember to bring what you sold! Ribs were prepared quite differently than Jasper's Plano which was a bit disappointing - both the rub and sauce seemed different and not as good - although they were still very tender. Creamy Baked Potato Salad was delicious as always. Overall the worst (most mediocre) Jasper's experience we've had."

  • "We were already expecting "good" but what we received was nothing short of "Exceptional!" We were delighted for our party of 11 to dine in the executive board room. The experience started wonderful, right from the front door, where we were promptly and warmly greeted by the evening hostesses. Our waiter, Tracy was outstanding, attending to every detail. His extensive knowledge about the menu, drinks, his professionalism, and sincerity to service made our dinner special indeed. Every person in our party had an awesome experience and wants to return."

  • "We booked for a large group at 8:45 on a Saturday night via this application. Our table was not ready until nearly 10PM. We booked just for dessert, as I had raved and raved about it to my friends. Turns out--the most popular desserts? Not available. Our waitress was clearly unhappy when we told her we simply wanted dessert. Only one couple out of 5 got the "mini trio" they requested. My drink was made improperly, which I blame the waitress for as I have always had impeccable service from the bartender."

  • "My husband ordered the special (barramundi) and it was mushy. He said it was one of the worst pieces of fish he had ever had. I ordered my most favorite thing on the menu - Sweet Corn Crusted Trout - and it just was not that good. I have had that dish on many occasions and it has been wonderful but this time it was really dry and overcooked. The potato chips were as good as ever, the drinks were great, but the main courses were really disappointing."

  • "First the positive-accommodated a large party of 7, hostess was very friendly, beautiful restaurant, decent server, food was good, not great. Now the negative-the kitchen was out of several items that we particularly wanted, appetizers as well as main course dishes. Very frustrating! The Manager came over after we finished our meal and apologized for the lack of items being available, said the delivery truck did not make it that day. What, you can't find another source? Bottom line, I would not go out of my way to dine there again."

  • "Food was great. But, the seating was slow. They were running behind 45 min from our reserved time. I know it was male times day but I thought that was a bit slow. Add to that we were passed over by the hostess by two other couples with the same reservation time even though we were there first. I was upset at this treatment."
