Would definitely go again.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMmy mouth was very happy!had a small birthday dinner with Dine About Town menu. the menu & drinks are creative & fun. they have a kid menu, yay! with each course you attention was paid to pleasing each taste bud. had a divine mixed greens salad with goat cheese, hazelnuts, peaches & basil. the grain salad with a light vinaigrette, pickled cauliflower & feta cheese was lovely. you MUST try the crispy piggy, you won't regret it! salmon cooked perfectly. the pork chop was AMAZING with butter beans, kale & chorizo. the strawberry rhubarb cobbler was tart & sweet baked in a moist butter cake & peanut butter mousse with chocolate cake was sinful. i wanted to propose to the artist in the kitchen & to my delight chef ransom came out & introduced himself. a great night!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMChicago Dog Mui BuenoWe came here for a late lunch (around 2:00 p.m.), and by then, the lunch crowd was pretty much non-existent, but there were a handful of people at the bar. The restuarant itself is pretty long, but half of it was closed during the time we were there, but I can only imagine how busy it gets during the peak times, dinner for example. Nonetheless, while we went there during a slow time, I felt the service was very good. The staff was on it. The food was great. It was small bar food, but have it with beer and it hit the spot for sure. When visiting San Francisco, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit. This was an excellent restaurant. All the staff made me feeling very special. The specialty drink menu was to die for, the new mussels dinner dish was delicious and these new crunchy meat bites we were all fight for he last one. Our waitress along with other staff made great drink recommendations when we told them what flavored we were looking for. I will be retuning very soo . This time with more friends. They have a 7 month old baby. The service was stellar. The waitress was perfect. The manager stopped by our table to ask if we were enjoying ourselves. Our new friends ordered a veggie salad on the menu and ordered it for the baby thinking it had cooked vegetables in it which is what they feed him. A few minutes later the chef came out to talk with them because he was concerned they might not realize it was mostly comprised of lettuces and wanted to make sure that's what they meant to order for the baby. The chef offered to prepare some fresh peas for the baby. This place was not only reasonable for the City, but had a good cocktai/wine list and our server was very helpful and knowledgeable in both. We started with the trio of deviled eggs (fabulous!) and soft pretzels (also good, but the eggs were the winner for the apps.) Entrees: the steak frites - excellent; rocky range jr. flattened roasted chicken - very moist and favorful; pork chop (huge and cooked to perfection - deliciously seasoned). We stopped in on our way to the symphony and it worked out very well! Great experience from the greeting at the check-in desk through dinner and to the last "thanks, come again" as we went out the door.Lively bar scene up front, but lower decibel dining room is nicely appointed and comfortable. The menu is heavy on so-called "comfort food" so they have the chicken/burger/salmon that many restaurants offer, but poutine was a nice surprise! Can't say enough about the home-made ice cream sandwich, made with house-made ice cream. It comes in 2 sizes and the small is ideal for two diners who want a nice sweet small finish. Salmon and pot pie entrees were also great. They even created a desert I wanted that wasn't on the menu based on the items that were available! Our server, Drew, steered us well with both our food and drink orders, was patient while we took our time ordering, and did an overall fantastic job. The menu was really fun, and the food was great. I really enjoyed the chickpeas and calamari appetizers (so much food for a great price!), and the sliders for an entree. The fries were of course amazing - perfect size and perfectly seasoned. The food is good (nothing to rave about), the beer list is great, but the real outstanding thing is that they actually serve half portions of almost everything. My friend and I shared half portions of 9 things between us to make diverse meal without feeling overfull or bloated. I would go back here. I liked it.
