  • "All Allen Brothers Steaks! Excellent fish and crab cakes. See New Orleans at the bar and get a Sazeric."

  • "We choose Jasper's when we want an attractive atmosphere in a lively area but with an ambiance that allows conversation. The blue cheese chips alone are almost worth the trip but the rest of the menu stays pretty much the same. Miss the shrimp/tenderloin kabob which was a favorite but now off the menu. Will ask about that on our next visit."

  • "Incredible food and service. Paul went out of his way to steer us toward perfect choices in food and wine. No complaints. Perfect night to sit outside and enjoy a fantastic meal."

  • "Cant go wrong here. Eclectic menu but familiar. You can go big on steak and wine but the menu is varied enough for any taste and budget. We loved it and since we were staying a nearby hotel, we were able to indulge a bit and had some nice after dinner drinks at the bar and watched some basketball on the tv's in the bar area."

  • "Food and Service are always top notch. One of our favorite restaurants in Austin."

  • "Food is well prepared. Wine is well paired. Service is superb. It is definitely 'backyard' cuisine … very tasty, very bold, lots of grill flavors. Will definitely go again"

  • "had been for drinks a few times but never for food, was pleasantly surprised at the variety of the menu and the taste of our entrees. would definitely dine there again."

  • "Visiting Austin and looking for a great place to eat. Stumbled across this place via open table. I have to admit the ribeye steak with their special seasoning and sauce was really good. The service was great and prompt. I learned there is a Jasper's in Dallas which I will visit soon. I was not impressed with the 70's style music which was a bit annoying when eating a $55 steak."

  • "Jasper's is always great and this continued with our latest visit to Jasper's. Our waiter was attentive but never over bearing. There was good spacing between the appetizer, the entree and the dessert. This allowed us to talk and enjoy the evening. I had the scallops and these were cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the trout., the brussels sprouts with the trout were excellent."
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "The ribs were excellent but the pecan crusted trout was disappointing. Not much flavor, too smokey and heavy for fish but the Brussels sprouts were great though. I will add that the restaurant was absolutely freezing! I had to leave my heavy jacket on through the entirety of dinner."

  • "I booked Jaspers for Valentine's Day with my wife. We have been several times and are always impressed by their food and service. From a service point of view, I have to give them kudos and take back some on this particular visit. On the kudos side - my wife was stuck in traffic due to an accident on MOPAC. I called the restaurant to tell them we would be an hour late - thinking they would turn me down since it was Valentines Day. They were very understanding and made arrangements to move us an hour later. Awesome! The only catch with the service was the actual service at the table. The placed was packed and it was apparent they didn't have enough staff in the kitchen. The food was good - but service was slow. Overall still good."

  • "I took my wife and 8 of our friends out to celebrate her birthday. The staff were wonderful and placed us in a private room and printed a note on the menu wishing my wife a happy birthday. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, our service struggled. Perhaps William was having an off-night, but he left us waiting to order appetizers for 30 minutes, had to come back twice to tell us the bottles of wine we ordered were out, brought out the wrong salad twice, had to come back to change two orders because the restaurant was out of chicken, brought out cold coffee and a markedly under-poured drink, and was absent for a good deal of the time. Considering that we planned on spending $1000 on dinner, this inattentiveness was embarrassing."

  • "We enjoyed the food and the fact the tables are not so dang close everyone is involved in everyone's conversation. Chopped wedge sald is a go and the prime rib was very flavorful. As was the flat iron steak. The staff was very helpful with the wine selection. We really enjoyed the evening."

  • "We arrived a few minutes early for a 7:45 reservation to learn that the restaurant was running a little behind and the hostess invited us to wait in the bar. After 20 minutes and a reminder, we were seated on the patio. It was windy and a little chilly, so we asked our waiter to turn on the heater. He explained that after a very busy Friday, the restaurant was out of a lot of things, and propane was one of them, so it would not be possible to light the heater. After 30 more minutes and no appetizers, we got cold and hungry, and asked to move inside. Our waitress inside was exceptional, and she did make an excellent wine recommendation, but the first hour of our meal tarnished the entire night. Won't be in a hurry to return to Jasper's."

  • "Loved the ambience and atmosphere for a good, romantic Valentine's night dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and amazing. We will definitely be back again!!"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "While I was sad I had to only pick from the Valentine's menu specific for the day rather than the regular menu, everything on it was great, our waiter was very accommodating, quick and the overall experience was wonderful. Will love to come back"

  • "The appetizers were good- wontons were delicious and my salad was full of flavor. The lobster bisque was uninspired. The chicken fried quail was decent. For our main course we chose panzini ( a fish we were unfamilar with) and the prime rib. What we were served was the fish and a almond crusted pork chop. Keeping the chop was a mistake. It was dry and flavorless. And it was slightly burned. And thin. And the oil it was cooled in was old. Bummer. My wife's panzini was outstanding. The chocolate lava cake was tasty but the caramel lava was a solid piece of caramel. The cheese cake was outstanding. Overall a very hit and miss meal- but still a wonderful date with my bride."

  • "We spent an enjoyable evening for the first time dining at the Domain, Austin's upscale shopping mall in North Austin. Jasper's came highly recommended and did not disappoint, as the atmosphere was lively and the food was quite good, despite a lackluster cut of prime rib which I was unable to finish. The only disappointment was that by the time the waiter came back to check on us and our meals after delivering the main course, we were "done" and ready for dessert...typical good service gets the waiter back to the table after the first few bites and this didn't happen, hence our disappointment with the food and the service."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Food was pretty good. However, for a pre fixed 4 course meal it should have flowed a lot smoother; 12 minutes between each course makes for a long drawn out night and unhappy consumers."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The food was average in flavor. The atmosphere and service was excellent. A little pricey."
    Dined on 2/8/2014
  • "It was good. Pretty. The music was a little loud. Waiter was great. I had the Shiner Bock cheddar soup which was a B. The peach bourbon pork tenderloin was an A+! The butterfingers creme brûlée was a C+. The Domain location was great. You can windowshop after dinner. It was a good date place. Prices weren't horrible.$20-$30ish for an entree. I'd go back for sure. They had a small private room if you have a party that you'd like privacy for."

  • "Service was super slow even though it wasn't very busy. The appetizers were good, but the main dishes were just okay. I got the ribs but they weren't very warm in temperature. Wouldn't recommend for the price."

  • "Took my friend out to celebrate her 65th. She was very hesitant, said it was too expensive and a place you only go to for special occasions. I call turning 65 special. Our meals were fabulous! The appetizer of waffles with fried quail was unlike anything I've had before and it was incredible. I had the ribs, which were perfect and she had the scallops, which she loved. We split Crème Brule and they wrote Happy Birthday on the plate in chocolate. Doesn't get much better than that! Our server was very attentive, which was polar opposite from the reviews I read on Trip Advisor. I'm very glad we went. I was visiting Austin, my former hometown, and this was the best meal of my week there."

  • "Jasper's has been my all time favorite for over a year now. I always know that I will have the best meal and best service possible. The faces/names may come and go but the quality still remains. Excellent Management team ( Laura and Trevor) always maintain the best staff. They have a real treasure in Noe,our very charming waitress."

  • "Jasper's always delivers a great experience. For this visit we had crab cake appetizers and seafood entrees (trout, scallops). Wonderful service and wine recommendations. The side dish of smoky mac 'n cheese was OUTSTANDING - extremely rich. No dessert needed after savoring all of that. Spacious seating (not cramped) and a dining experience that felt luxurious. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, Jasper's!"

  • "The fixed price menu offered fantastic, unique selections in a wide variety. Everything was top notch. The service was lackluster. Our meager table of four apparently did not provide hope of a large enough tip to warrant adequate service."

  • "Ordered the Rib-Eye and I must say it was one of the best I have had I in a long time!! Service was excellent, Jasper's was a great dining experience. The décor was great, music set the experience as well. You cannot go wrong with Jasper's. Thanks Trevor for making our dining experience great!!"

  • "Food when we got it was good, well presented and hot. Menu choices are a bit bizarre- like ribs and barbecue spiced scallops, but otherwise food is fine. Waitress was told to upsell and she tried and she tried but we were stuffed with Christmas goodies and not inclined to add bread etc to our dinner. So, she wasted a lot of our time. Draft blowing on diners requires a coat. Place was almost deserted on an evening between Christmas and New Years so I guess I am not the only diner who was less than ecstatic with Jasper's."

  • "We went here for out anniversary on December 20, 2013. The overall night was good. Main bummer of the night was a passing waitress taking my fiance's martini before he was finished with it, kinda just grabbed it from in front of him with a small drink and the olives still in it. The food was good, not as good as the last time we were there, but it could have been our entree choices. The crab cakes were delicious, the calamari was a little chewy and not as flavorful as the previous time (in which is was amazing). My steak was ordered medium rare, and came out very rare. I'm not too squeamish so I ate it as it was, and it was very good. My fiance's ribs were fantastic and they were even good reheated the next day. Desserts were also amazing."

  • "We were really looking forward to a visit to Jaspers after seeing the wonderful photos of their food in local magazines. However, after a meal that boasted cold skimpy portions, rushed service, and first class pricing, we will not be back. The salad was tiny, but we didn't even have a chance to finish before the waiter offered to clear the table for the entrée which was cold and very skimpy. Since when is a full rack of baby back ribs only 5 ribs? You would also expect a restaurant with $40 entrees to offer bread or flats for the table, not that we had time to enjoy it while getting rushed out. This may be a good place for a quick lunch, but certainly not for a nice dinner."

  • "My husband and I went to Jasper's to celebrate him coming home for the holidays and our birthday. I truly appreciated the call to confirm our reservation all the way to promptly seating us when we arrived. The food was absolutely divine!!! I would definitely be back again. I can't say I had a favorite dish in particular because it was all so delicious!!!"

  • "We had a small Christmas Party of 8 for dinner. Atmosphere and food were great. Would pass on desert, kind of a let down after a wonderful entre. Server was great, new the menu and his recommendation of dinner and wine was great. Will take friends and clients back in a heartbeat."

  • "Jasper's is always a dependable choice when we are looking for an evening of good food and good sevice in a pleasant environment. We especially like it as a place with table arrangements and a noise level that allows conversation in a normal voice"

  • "I'm a frequent diner of Jaspers and have always had great service but this time was an exception. Our waitress wasn't as attentive as previous wait staff members. The restaurant was also freezing. There was cold air blowing on our table when it was 30 degrees outside. Our waitress said the temp is controlled by corporate in Ohio and they couldn't do anything about it, which seemed absurd to us. It made it hard to enjoy our dining experience. The food service was extremely slow this time as well. The restaurant was packed on a Tues night, which was probably unusual; however, since it's the holidays, I would expect additional crowds during the week would be the norm."

  • "Our company has three out of town guests in for training. We had booked the reservation the week prior using Open Table. Easy as pie. We arrived early and enjoyed drinks at the bar while waiting on all of our party. The bartender was beautiful and knowledgeable, and not stuck up in any way, which is something you might expect from a nice place like Jasper's. Our waiter's name started with a "J"...either Jason or Josh. He was polite and spoke loudly enough for all of us to hear, but didn't shout. He created a relaxing atmosphere for us to enjoy some fabulous dishes. For 7 people, we started with two orders of the Maytag Blue Cheese Potato Chips along with Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp N Grits. Delicious. Our entrees were fantastic too!"

  • "Had a lovely dinner Saturday night. I had shrimp n grits and hubby had a filet. The grits were creamy and well seasoned. The shrimp were perfect. Hubby's steak was cooked exactly as ordered. The meat was seasoned well and very tender. We topped it off with roasted banana cheesecake and butterfinger cream brûlée. Fantastic!"
