Japonessa Sushi CocinaGreatI have only been here for lunch and it is definitely a hot spot for the noon working crowd. The only reason I did not give the service five stars is because they apparently forgot to assign a wait person to us and we sat there for almost 20 minutes before asking. Once we got a waiter the service was outstanding. The sushi is great and not to be missed if you like rolls is the monthly chef's special. It is a very fancy roll and be warned if they say it is spicy as it can be very spicy as is the current special. It fills up quick so for lunch get there early or make a reservation.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is awesomeThe unexpected mix of Japanese and Mexican was really well done ~ I wasn't sure what to expect but strawberry habanero in the spicy tuna such = genius. the waiter "ferry" was sweet and polite and recommended a very good combination of sweet and spicy dishes. Quick service, great food. I would definitely return to try more on the menu. Everyone was so helpful and great attitudes. The ambiance was great. The sushi was delicious. We had a wonderful experience and our mother is a sushi addict now. We will defiantly be back. The service was very good our server always had a smile on and would engage in light conversation with us, the atmosphere was very much alive which we enjoyed. Now down to the good stuff let me tell you the "Blind Fury" was amazing the yellow tail was so good and the flavors that came along with it were perfect the heat of the roll with the cilantro sneaking in during the flavor explosion great stuff. We also had the "Laughing Buddha" and the "Crunch roll" which each were very good and id eat them again when i go back, its just the "Blind Fury" has made a lasting impression on me and i will be going there again.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat sushi restaurantWe eat here often and have never been disappointed. Our service really was excellent, which set the stage for a lovely evening. The house sushi roll we ordered was a bit less impressive, especially considering the price tag. As usual the restaurant was very busy but we got seated right away for our 7:30 reservation. There were 4 of us and we sat at the sushi counter and had perfect service and absolutely amazing food. There are so many good rolls that it's hard to choose a favorite but the Heat Stroke is probably mine. We ordered many rolls, sushi, sashimi, soup and desert. I still like other area sushi places better but this was fun and I would go back should I find myself downtown and wanting sushi late.

We sat at the sushi counter and enjoyed watching the talented chefs. We had several rolls, including my favorite, the Heat Stroke. My salmon nigiri was very fresh and melt in your mouth delicious.
