"We Celebrated our !7th Wedding Anniversary and our Daughter's birthday and was so delicious. Loved the sushi rolls and the Beef filet was to die for. Annie the Manager was so accomodating and great and our waitress Kathleen was awesome and so attentive. we we greeted by Jimmy the host who made us feel like "family" We LOVE JAPENGO and will deffinately be back! Aloha and Mahalo"

"Sushi was very good. Spicy tuna was spicy for a change. Service was excellent. Views at the restaurant as well as the Hyatt in general are outstanding. Worth the visit to see if on Maui."

"Nice place, great views. Sushi was good, but not "nock your socks off". Crispy ahi poke was great. Prices were typical for maui, but don't expect to leave without spending $100. We would go there again. Our server, Sheri, was the best and extremely attentive. It made my wifes birthday very special."

"The setting for this place is lovely. We sat outside on a beautiful Maui evening. However, the setting did not help the fact that the food was mediocre. I decided to have something other than fish, and ordered the Chow Fun. It was too salty, and the actual Chow Fun (wide noodles) were scarce. I would not recommend this dish to anyone. My hubby had the mixed grill, and he said it was just so-so. We will not be coming back to this place."

"Our party of 12 loved this restaurant!! Food was great, service was great,scenery was amazing. They put together a beautiful dessert platter of items for out birthday boy on the house. Had a great twosome singing in the outdoor bar area doing Eagles covers. Could have stayed there a long time. Will definitely go back."
