A word from Jamison
Named after the adjacent square and First Thursday founder William Jamison, Jamison is the Pearl District's premier farm to table American bistro. Jamison's warm interior boasts floor to ceiling windows, distressed 100 year old barn wood, crystal birdcage chandeliers and a living foliage wall.

The menu features a variety of dishes meant to share, such as charcuterie, flatbreads and small plates. Guests can enjoy a full bar along with an extensive wine list focusing on Northwest producers.

Choose to dine casually in the communal bar area, fireside in the intimate dining room, or al fresco on the Jamison Square courtyard.

  • "Went to Jamison before going to Sister Act last Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprise. I had the Braised short ribs with herb polenta(rosemary) and it was excellent. Had a taste of my wife's ricotta, spiced coppa and arugula salad and it was very good too! Other people in our group had the seared stuffed pork chop and a couple of the different flatbreads and all gave positive comments and reviews. Atmosphere was not noisy at all which was great for being able to visit! Decent wine selection but I have seen better! Overall a very nice place for a good evening out!"

  • "We have been going since they opened, and Jamison really is getting better each time. We have had the same waiter consistently since the first visit, and the service is quite consistent. On this evening, I had the pork chop & my spouse had the halibut. Both were cooked perfectly, and the sides were very well paired with the dishes."

  • "Brunch at Jamison is awesome! The menu is fantastic, and the chef is amazing. It's worth going, just for the homemade Buttermilk Biscuits! The food is excellent, as well as the drinks, and the ambiance is cozy, especially by the fireplace. I love the handmade wooden tables. The service is excellent, too. I've gotten great service by Emily the last two times I was there, and the hostess was also very helpful. ALL of the employees are helpful and friendly; it's a favorite brunch spot for me!"

  • "This was our first time at Jamison. We are a small dining club out of Forest Grove and decided to give Jamison's a try. First off we normally have 8-10 people in our group, but on this night we were down to four. I called ahead and spoke to someone at the restaurant and he assured me he will accomodate us....Boy did he. We were reserved for a table of 8 or more and he put us at a table of 4 right next to the fireplace...Bonus points from the ladies on this one :)....Our server was very prompt and took care of all of our needs....Great flavorful food. Decor was fresh/moden and very clean.......Overall we really enjoyed Jamison"

  • "Our first visit to Jamison was prompted by finding out that they have gluten free options. It was wonderful to have several options. My daughter and I both chose benedicts (veggie and crab). The base is a gluten free chive biscuit. My only complaint was that it was a bit too salty. Our favoirte part was the fun shoestring style hash browns....crispy and delicious."

  • "Seated early. Took 20 minutes to get wrong drinks. Server argued about what was written on the wine list, more ignorant than arguing. Prix fixe menu offered on 2/14. Twenty minutes to get first course, oysters. Thirty-five minutes after clearing oysters, still no second course...I went looking for a manager. Our second course was served to a neighboring table, where we heard the female diner say, 'we haven't gotten our salads.' Server left the food and walked away. Manager brought out our second course...pork belly was tepid, at best, and the fat on the pork belly was congealed and inedible. Manager said he couldn't turn the situation around for us. Paid for drinks and walked out! I've been in the hospitality biz for 24 years, first walkout"

  • "We had reservations for 7:15pm. Arrived @ 7pm. We were seated at 7:35pm. Upon being seated we were not greeted by our waiter for 20 minutes. After taking our drink and dinner order we didn't receive our dinner until 9:15pm. It was a four course meal option only. Each course was extremely tiny portions and not cooked well. We finally asked for our dessert to go. I do not wish the experience we had on anyone. The venue is nice but the service falls short and the prices for what you get.. you will walk away hungry and feeling like you paid way to much for nothing."

  • "Took my boyfriend here when he visited from out of town for Valentine's Day. We had to get a very early dinner reservation (5 p.m.), and the service seemed like it was still getting going at that point. They had a special four course menu for the evening, and we had to wait a really long time between certain courses. Otherwise, the staff was attentive. The food was tasty, but the portions and quality were not worth the price. The restaurant did have a nice, romantic ambiance."

  • "Hindsight is always 20/20 by I should have asked for the check and fled after the second course. We told the server we had tickets to a play and we were worried we would miss it at the rate things were going. (2nd course arriving 1:15 into this nightmare) she said the kitchen was about to plate our main course and she have it out in 5 mins. Needless to say she was off by about an hour and change. We missed our valentines play. It was 3 hrs of frustration and the food wasn't that good but was at least overpriced. This space is beautiful maybe they should put a good restaurant in there?"

  • "Last night I had the worst dining experience in 34 years . We went to Jamison last night for our V day. We had reservations at 7 and were seated promptly. We had to wait 45mins to get our drink order in, an hour to order our dinner off of a prix fixe menu, I had to ask for bread since Steve gets hangry. The bread showed up an 1 hour and 15mins after we ordered then our first course arrived. The food was not good or bad just sad, the portions where smaller than any pretentious restaurant in New York. Seriously we laughed when they brought our plates because it was so shocking. We thought about leaving after waiting so long for our drinks but there was no one around to grab our check. Worst dining experience in my life."

  • "The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable but we were all cold. We should have asked for a table by the fireplace. There was a fireplace by our table but it was not on. The full windows looking into the park are great but create a chilly unpleasant enviroment, the people next to us keep there jackets on. The service was good but slow, it took a while to place an order but we were not in a hurry. The food was good, the coffee rubbed steak was superb, the flatbreads are fresh, crisp and delicious, the brussel sprouts were a bit dry and lacked favor. The wine menu was good. There was just something missing to make it stand out as a go to spot in the Pearl."

  • "Cavernous and cold, only 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Fireplace that we were seated next to was inoperable. Salad was forgettable and tasteless and the entree quite possibly was the worst I've had. A short rib that tasted like it had been braised and cooked through, no slow cooking, no falling off the bone. I had one bite and it was sawed off with a steak knife. I didn't have an opportunity to tell anyone because the server never came to the table after the entree was served."

  • "We have had several amazing meals here. The menu items are soooo good and quality is excellent. I am surprised the place wasn't packed. We were able to get in right away on a Friday night. If you're looking for an incredible meal without a huge wait or big crowd, go here. Hope I didn't just let the cat out of the bag, but his place is a great find."

  • "We were greeted nicely and seated near a fireplace that didn't work. This was unfortunate because the first thing that we noticed is that there was no heat in the restaurant. The greeter apologized and said that there was nothing that could be done. Our server was nice, professional and competent. We tried the squash soup, the beet salad, the flatbread to start. Our entrees were the short ribs and the ribeye. Everything was delicious and cooked nicely. The server's timing was perfect. The downside to this nice meal was that we were uncomfortably cold the entire meal as there was no heat! And the cold kept drawing us away from enjoying the meal. Maybe I'd revisit the Jamison in the future, but only if they correct this problem."

  • "1. On a very cold night, the restaurant was cold inside. My wife left her winter coat on the entire meal. 2. The appetizers were Excellent. Five Stars. 3. As a table of 4, wwe ordered three different main dishes: Duck, Short Ribs and Salmon. The Duck was the worst we've ever had. Short ribs were stingy but ok. The Salmon eater said it was good. 4. Dessert was a pecan pie tart and it looked and tasted as if it was a frozen starter. We have enjoyed the restaurant when we ate on the patio. We MAY give it one more try."

  • "They seemed short staffed as the greeter also helped with delivering plates to the table but the service was friendly and accomodating. The menu had very fancy descriptions and an electric flare about it but the food was good. I think if my fancy dessert came out the way it should've (warm brownie should come to the table warm. I sent it back. They reheated it instead of making it over) then I probably would say my entire meal was superb. Overall though this is place where you can get out of the cold, cozy up by the fireplace and have a yummy flatbread and soup. I'd go back and do just that."

  • "I struggled to find a nice restaurant for a birthday party for a large group that didn't require me to go through an event coordinator or put down a deposit. Jamison accomodated my party of 16 with no problem! The atmosphere is simple and classy, the drinks were yummy, and the food was beautiful and delicious! I highly recommend it no matter how big of a party you have!"

  • "I've been here a few times and love the food - the small plates are meant for sharing. I love the brussels sprouts and foraged mushrooms and all of the flatbreads were good. For some reason, the service was very poor and super slow this time around. They were not a full restaurant either, so I am thinking that they are understaffed. The food was still good, but unfortunately the slow service left a poor taste in my mouth."
