Our party of eight visited on a Sunday evening, one of many visits to this location. We are frequent patrons of the various Jameson's locations. This visit today was less than stellar. Our server was friendly enough and willing to please. That was probably the best of the experience. The soups arrived lukewarm and too salty to enjoy. Most of our salads then arrived with lettuce that was partially wilted, slimy brown and a slightly bitter in taste. It appeared as if they had been prepared several days ago and then served well past their prime. The main entrees arrived and the issues continued as many of the entrees were overcooked and dry. Very disappointing.

I hear on WGN radio Orion Samuelson recommend this restaurant to celebrate a family member birthday. It did not disappoint. There was plenty of food, to our surprise. We are use to restaurant offering you soup or salad but you receive both. Also unlike other steak houses the sides were not sold separately. All of present said we would definitely return. We did have reservations, which when we came in there was plenty of tables but when we were leaving they were setting up a six foot table.

I expected from a steak house that they steak would be a good cut, but instead my steak was fatty and grisly throughout. I was very disappointed in the quality of steak from a place that is known for their steaks. Service was great, but steak was subpar.

We had a wonderful dinner here. We had outstanding service and the food was great. We both ordered the Macadamia nut crusted halibut that was delicious. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Also, the rice is great. We also enjoyed a couple fabulous cosmos. They also include soup and salad.

The menu has a variety for all tastes. The atmosphere is open and comfortable. Best of all is the management and the service. The manager comes by to make sure all is well. After a few visits, the server has memorized our drink and food preferences. Staff from previous visits come by to say "hi." You can't ask for a more welcoming, pleasant place for dinner.

Was a disappointing Father's day! Too hot, bad service and very loud! The staff was banging dishes! We had to ask for water, bread. My husband did not ever get his salad that we paid for. We waited a long time for our meal. The glasses were sweating it was so hot! We paid over $200 for a very disappointing time. The restaurant was not even crowded. Will never go back.

Unfortunate best describes our experience, I am not sure that out server knew our table was assigned to her, we sat 15 minutes before she came to the table. The kitchen failed, didn’t fill a special request, provided burnt linguine and support staff dragged the water pitcher over another meal while re-filling a water glass. The server and the manager had to spend way too much time apologizing, they tried to make it right but in the end we just wanted out. This probably sounds like a hatchet job though not intended to be. I hope they can do better, the restaurant is in a prime location, as a resident of the area I want my neighborhood to be successful, I expected better from this quality name.

We went as a group of 6 for dinner and had an overall very good experience. Our waiver was very accommodating without being intrusive. His timing was spot on and everyone in our party thought the food was excellent. I had one of the specials - macadamia crusted tilapia and it was perfectly prepared. Some of the other meals ordered were the liver, prime rib. All were very good to excellent.

We eat at the Glenview Jameson's frequently. We decided to try the Skokie one having a similar meal. The walleye tasted like a Swanson frozen dinner, hard, tasteless and covered in an overpowering sauce. The chicken sandwich was like a hockey puck. Skokie is inferior by a long shot to Glenview!! Stay away!!

We have enjoyed going to Jameson's for lunch, but this was our first time for dinner. Food is average (doubt there are experienced chefs in the kitchen), onion soup is overly salted (and served warm, not hot), walleye was overcooked, steaks were done inconsistently. Service was very good. Will go back for lunch; for dinner, recommend staying with burgers, sandwiches, and salads.

I have to wonder if this Jameson's Charhouse is under new management or they are just trying harder. There is an increasing improvement in their fish and other dishes. The service is quite good. Timely, pleasant, and helpful. I now am happy to dine there for the theater instead of feeling I am just "stuck" with it as the only reasonable choice.

We love it especially at 5 p.m. after a matinee show at Northlight Theater. Skokie , IL, before it gets too full and is still very pleasantly QUIET. Later, ca. 6 p.m. and later, it might be moderately noisy, but it is still pleasant. Service is quick, food is good, prices reasonable, and very good choices, for all tastes. Waiters and waitresses are kind, helpful, and always in good mood which contributes to the nice atmosphere.

This was not my first visit to Jamieson's in Skokie, but the first time for lunch. Everything about this experience exceeded expectations. Our server was friendly and helpful and after lunch, we never felt rushed. In fact, we were served more water as we finished our lunch conversation. Everyone was polite and friendly making a return visit highly desirable. It appears that all seating in the restaurant provides an equal experience of the ambience this restaurant offers.

I was told by a friend about Jameson's. We were first seat in a table which was in the way for all the servers. Tables were too close. We were seated by a very big, loud, nasty group and they had children that didn't know how to act properly. Our waitress was really overworked I believed. She did relocate our small group to a better location and we had dinner and left. We had agreed to try Jameson's one more time before giving it a thumbs down.

We made a 5:00pm reservation on Mother's Day. It was not too busy when we first came. The service and food were very good. Everyone enjoyed the food. The noise level got increasingly loud as the restaurant filled up with people talking, which is expected. We noticed that this time and the last time we were here last year, that there was a lot of noise of dishes clashing right on the other side of where we were sitting. Unfortunately, we couldn't wait to get out to the quiet outside. Since this happened again, I will think twice about making a reservation here.

This was our second time at Jameson's, and it is a very nice place for dinner. From being greeted by name to the recommendations on food, this restaurant is consistent, tasty, and a great value! Our waitress, Sheila, is a gem. There aren't many places that serve calf's liver, and both times it was cooked to perfection. We will be returning for sure!

The receptionist was preoccupied. A pleasant guy seated us (four in all). Food was pretty good. We did some sharing, and the waitress didn't or wouldn't bring extra plate or fork. After delicious ribs, two of us asked for a pre-moistened towelette. The waitress brought one dampened cloth napkin for us to share. But we enjoyed our visit, our food and wine, and stayed until 10. THEN I GOT A SCOLDING FROM OPEN TABLE, TELLING ME THAT IS WAS UNACCEPTABLE THAT WE WERE NO-SHOWS. Not so! Having to prove to Open Table that we actually had been to Jameson's that evening colored my appraisal of the entire experience, which may be why my review is generally on the negative side. It certainly isn't worth it to me to try again at Jameson's Charhouse.

Came in Tuesday night (4-29) Our Server was Vickie. She greeted us with a big smile. Told us about The dinner specials and recommended that we try one of the Craft Beers(Btw, nice Beer selection). She also recommended The Spinach Dip and Grilled Octopus. I never had Grilled Octopus but by her description, she made it sound so appetizing that my friend and I agreed so we gave it a shot. I have to say it was the most tender and tasty seafood appetizer I ever had. She recommended the Tilapia Vesuvio style and I wanted another fish entree so I asked her what else was good we got the Halibut. Our entrees were delivered in a timely manner and I have to say she was right again. We dine out a lot & this was the best service i have ever received.

We all ordered the ground Serling dinner. There three of us...one med rare, one medium and one well done. The only one made to order was the well done. The other two were also well done. We told the waitress who offered to redo the two to order but we declined due to the time factor. We assumed it would go no further but she told the manager who promptly came.over to our table. He agreed with well done status and again offered to re-cook the entrees which we declined. He then offered free desserts which we accepted. The staffs care of us was exceptional and the overall dining experience very pleasant. We will return.

I went to Jameson's on a special occasion to celebrate my mother's birthday. There were five in our party. I had made the reservation in advance through OpenTable with a special request for a round table in the front of the restaurant. My request was noted and we had a great location and our waitress was attentive and very helpful, she even suggested a beverage of her own creation for my mother and my mother really enjoyed it.
