If they could do anything to make the dinning experience more positive - they did, and they did it without our having to ask. For a hotel restaurant mid-week, our luncheon experience couldn't have been more pleasant. The food - which was presented in more than ample servings, was quite satisfactory. Haute cuisine it wasn't, but, that's not what we were expecting nor paying for. What it was were both bountiful, well presented and very reasonable. Staff are always friendly but not obtrusive and have a good grasp of the menu. Menu is large with emphasis on good seafood yet having plenty of beef and chicken too. Food is always excellent. the macadamia crusted halibut is my fpersonal favorite. Big wine and beer variety could use more European brands. I remembered a friend of mine mentioning that he worked at Jameson's Charhouse in Skokie, so I thought I'd give it a try. The staff were all warm and welcoming and we were promptly seated. Drinks and food were wonderful and served quickly. I would definitely visit again. The waitress was friendy and attentive with refilling my ice tea whenever it was emptied. From the time we ordered the food came to us beginning with the salad, soup and main course. The portions were quite generous and prepared to our liking and tasty. Our waiter, Jimmy, was called in from Jameson's in the Glen & he was awesome! I was upset that there was no Oyster's Rockefeller....We've been to the one in Mt. Prospect & I've always loved them...We got to Skokie & wasn't on the menu!
