Busy Saturday night, but 2 unflappable hostesses were friendly and efficient. Some in our party arrived after our reservation time, but we were seated within minutes. We were not rushed and nice spacing between courses, giving us time to relax and enjoy conversation, Portions were generous, except the small fillet. More like 4oz. than 6oz. Too pricey for the amount. The pork chops were outstanding! Our waiter was OK, but asked us 3 times if we wanted appetizers! Took drink order immediately, but must have forgotten, as we were served at the same time as drink order to a neighboring table that was seated a good bit after us. But even though we were pretty gnarly when we sat down, the Server we had was terrific, the restaurant brought out an appetizer to keep the kids busy while we ordered and comp'd us one of the desserts - and if the maitre'd apologized once, he apologized 20 times.
Food was very good, very reasonably priced and cooked to order without being rushed. Overall, I'll put it down to a busier than usual evening and would go again/recommend it. Great way to recover from an initial poor impression.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak I ever hadThe service was excellent, at least you rested between meals, the food was excellent and was served hot, not like any other restaurants that they serve it almost on the cold side and the meals were served one after another. It was perfect for the Mothers day occasion and the graduation celebration for my daughter. I'm inteding to do a graduation party at Jamesons in Glenview because of it's great food and service. The decor is great and tables and booths are still private so you can have your conversations without yelling or hearing the table talk at the next table. The service was friendly, well informed and efficient . The manager also came to our table to check on us midway through our dinner just to see if everything was meeting our expectations. Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared well. The ambiance was very comfortable and not too loud. It was nice for my husband and me to be able to carry on a conversation with my in-laws and we never felt rushed. Jameson's really made us feel at home and appreciated for our business. They generally bring out food way too fast, you are not even done with your appetizer and they bring you a salad. He was the only one out of four visits able to slow down the pace of the food from the kitchen. He was attentive but not overly involved.
The herb roasted half chicken was delicious, the Cajun chicken sandwich had a double chicken breast - very large sandwich and hard to finish after an appetizer and soup. The burger was one of the tastiest we have had in a long time with a delicious grilled flavor on the beef. Steak cut fries were crispy and hot - well done. The onion strings were more like thin & small onion rings with a light crust. No drinks $56 for 3 betore tip - a good value12/16/2012 12:00:00 AM
