Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I thought the menu selection was really well designed and offered choices that fit. our different tastes. Our server Paul was very helpful and attentive, clear and insightful about the dishes and was very casual yet professional in his approach. All around a great experience."

  • "Way overpriced for what you get. Have been to far better Spanish restaurants for much less cost. Food was average at best."

  • "Everything was delicious and wonderful on the restaurant's end. Unfortunately we were sitting near a party that was tallking and laughing so loud, we couldn't hear eachother across the table. The restaurant has a loud and festive atmosphere on its own, but this was distracting to the point that we left quickly as soon as our meal was finished. Regretfully we did not try any of the desserts (for this same issue). I would go back and hope for better dining neighbors."

  • "Went for lunch, they offer a great lunch special that includes delicious gazpacho, a small salad and your choice of the paella of the day or a Spanish sandwich. If you like Spanish food then you won't be disappointed."

  • "We have been to the Jaleo in Crystal City, so we were excited to find ourselves in Vegas & having the opportunity to eat at Jaleo at Cosmopolitan. It did not disappoint. The service was great, our server Charlotte was attentive, made great suggestions & took wonderful care of us. When the staff found out we are big Jaleo fans, the manager came over to see how it compared. The food was incredible & we tried veggies, fish, beef & paella. Although it is a bit of a drive from LA, I would drive to Vegas just to eat at Jaleo again."

  • "Great tapas place with excellent, caring and freindly service. Other than an over the top loud table next to us of 12 people who didn't seem to care about disturbing the dining experience of the other diners, the experience was great."

  • "This iteration of the restaurant is even better than the original. It's a simply wonderful dining experience."

  • "My friend and I chose one restaurant to go big on and because of our love of Spanish food and wines, focused on this one. We were a little surprised to arrive at the restaurant to see what looked like a well-lit chain cafe. We decided to go in anyway. The decor wasn't my favorite and the iPad cocktail/wine service seemed to slow things down a bit, but the food we had overall was quite lovely and the wines delicious. 5 stars for food and drink (and nice staff people although a bit overworked) and 3 for the room."

  • "Great creative dishes! Nice smaller portions. A bit disappointed with the paella. Very energetic atmosphere. Definitely recommend."

  • "Amazing food tapas style. We had the excellent battered eggplant, deep fried salt codfish, spinach with raisins and pine nuts, boiled octopus with pee wee potatoes. Delicious cheeses. Don't miss Rossejat negra con cigala. I hope Jose Andres opens a restaurant in the bay area!"

  • "I've been here many times and you can literally order anything from the menu and it is amazing. Love it here. Only issue is that it can be a bit loud (but fun) and so you can't always hear the waiter - but it isn't a huge deal - just point."

  • "Very good Spanish fusion food, small menu before 4, better and more complete after 4."

  • "Easy to find and trendy spot. Great wood-fire smell and open table format. Probably best to come with bigger groups to allow for more ordering. The paella was excellent and the table favorite."

  • "had dinner here. server was brand new to the restaurant and he was excellent. his recommendations were perfect. just an fyi, this is a tapas place so the dishes may come out at any time, when they are ready, etc. we like to order a couple dishes, eat them and order more. i highly recommended the endive, goat cheese, orange salad..wow, and the mini pepito's were the best sliders i've had...ever. they specialize in gin and tonics with various combo's, but i stuck to beer (excellent choices to complement the food). bottom line, we had an excellent time and were happy we chose to eat here. if you're going with a group, try the paella!"

  • "What a great experience. The place was beautiful. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about every dish. We requested a table next to an open food preparation area and enjoyed watching the staff at work. They would chat with us and answer any questions we had. All food was fresh and fantastic!! Highly recommend!"

  • "Best Spanish tapas restaurant in vegas. Each dish was better than the one served before it. Paella was out of this world. Will be coming back the next time I'm in town."

  • "I've been to Jaleo in DC and thought that the Vegas location was just as delicious but with a much more grown-up vibe. Definitely not casual. The food is amazing and the sangria might just be magic. Service was excellent. The restaurant was a bit loud for my taste, but that's the be expected in Vegas. Overall it was a fantastic dinner."

  • "Jaleo is an excellent place for groups meeting casually who want distinctive food, interesting mixes of ingredients, served an a fun, busy atmosphere. The staff are helpful and every dish has some surprise. I recommend it, but not for those seeking quiet conversations."

  • "I think this is now my favourite Vegas restaurant! The first time we went late, after a show, and the food was amazing even though we were too late to order the paella. This time we went earlier (8pm) - the tapas were again amazing (squid with white beans, shrimp in garlic, cheese with apricots & almonds, and lamb chops to die for!) and we ordered the chicken & mushroom paella to share - it was worth the return visit! The ambience was better because of the time too. I would definitely recommend Jaleo, both for couples and groups as the plates are a great size to share and get a taste of everything. Oh and the wine was pretty tasty too!! Can't wait to go again."

  • "We ate there Friday June 27 and everything we had was great. The ham Iberico ham was the best I've ever had. The garlic shrimp in tomato was amazing. Love the food, great cocktails my only minor complaint is the waitress disappeared for long periods and left us with out drinks. That said I still highly recommend it."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Jaleo. The sangria here was a level above others that I've had around the world. Be sure to try the toasted bread brushed with fresh tomato. Sounds simple, but it is delicious, and the bread is flown in par baked from Spain. They are known for Paella, but I actually preferred the other dishes, notably the octopus with PeeWee potatoes (soft and succulent) and the "very very famous" shrimp dish. Servers were fast and attentive, and quite knowledgeable about the menu. We liked it so much that we are going again tonight."

  • "I go to tapas places all over the country, when ever I can. Jaleo ranks as one of the best. It is a great combination of traditional favorites and haut Spanish cuisine, familiar yet surprising at the same time."

  • "Unique dishes full of flavor, great ambience and our server (Eric) helped make the night thoroughly enjoyable for all members of our party. Second time dining with Jaleo and it is one of my favorite places to eat in Vegas"

  • "fabulous selection of jamon, and great options for vegetarians as well. Take their advice and try the G&T - the best I've had!"

  • "After reading positive reviews, we reserved a spot for lunch. Our biggest complaint was the service. While our waitress was friendly, she was the only waitress for a restaurant full of customers. Not her fault, but it made our experience a negative one. We waited a long time for our drinks, and the tapas all arrived to our table at different times, meaning we weren't able to pair our meats with our cheeses unless we waited another period of time for the next piece of our order to arrive. For a quite expensive lunch, the portions were small and the tapas experience minimal at best."
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "Nice place, good service but bad food. Our meat was overcooked (burned), the paella was undercooked even though we waited for at least 40 minutes. We ordered garlic soup and it was cold. The sangria was not very good either."

  • "My son, who loves good food, told me we MUST eat here during our stay in Las Vegas. I'm so glad we went. The food was excellent. Actually, it got better and better as the meal progressed! A bit pricey, but worth every penny."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here last weekend. We are so happy with our choice. The service, the food and the ambiance made this one of (possibly the best) meal we have ever shared together. Each dish was prepared with attention to deal and each had its own unique flavour profiles. True to their roots they have an incredible selection of Spanish wines and the staff know them well. Next time we are in Vegas this will be at the top of our "places to go" list."

  • "The paella was quite greasy and only two of the five are available on any given day. The rice was hardened and tasted as if it was rushed, rather than the texture typically found in a paella. The cured meat appetizer with cheese was quite good as was the tomato bread. Overall, the menu is way overpriced because of the association with yet another absentee celebrity chef. Only recomended for a drink with appetizer before heading to a better restauranton the Strip."

  • "Mr Adria needs to visit this place and polish both the food and menu. Our first visit a few yrs ago left us raving at how fantastic the food was. This time, however, we did not have one dish we would order again. Avoid the 'patates bra as', a bag of chips with some junk thrown over them. The iberico pig sliders ere greasy and awful. Salads had little flavour. Service was outstanding."

  • "I've been to Jaleo several times and have never had a bad meal there. The wine list is very complimentary and the paella is wonderful! It's a must visit every time I'm in Vegas."

  • "After reading great reviews I picked Jaleo for our 1st anniversary lunch, the choice for lunch was poor, for tapas there was not much variety. We had to go for lunch rather than dinner because of evening plans it was a regretful it was very disappointing the tastiest thing was the bread. Their was no atmosphere. If you have ever been to Spain do not eat here it won't live up to you expectation."

  • "We had a nice time, as usual. This was maybe our fourth time to Jaleo. The waiter did offer a signature drink, but I didn't ask how much it cost, which was my mistake, and it was $20!!!! I was shocked. Oh well, the salad was good, the soup was good (a little too vinegary for me), and the sandwich was crispy and packed with flavor! The JLT was like a BLT, but with ham instead of bacon. Our server was so nice and the hostess too! It was a wonderful experience, again. They had just put a suckling pig on the spit and started it up for dinner service while we were there. That was cool to see."

  • "I read some rave reviews of Jaleo and expected a superb culinary experience combined with great ambiance. Unfortunately neither food nor ambiance materialized. I must say food was allright but nothing too special but everything was definitely over salted; as far as ambiance is concerned - this restaurant is completely open to a mall like corridor in Cosmopolitan that is filled with screaming and yelling passers-by who clearly ruin the whole restaurant high end dining experience. I am not sure why such a restaurant like Jaleo went for such an open design. The price does not justify the experience."
