  • "Always have a good experience at Jaguar. Can be somewhat variable at times. When owners are there, which is less and less frequent, it runs more smoothly. We go there with some regularity."

  • "The service was exceptional and the food and drinks were perfect. Food was served quickly and the we appreciated the originality and preparation of all our dishes. I don't think anyone would be disappointed if they are looking for a pleasant Latin themed lunch."

  • "We make a point of going to the Jaguar every time we're in town. It's definitely worth every penny and more!! We've haven't gone wrong with any dish we've tried. The combination of flavors is amazing! We've gone with a large group and with just the two of us and had a great experience!"

  • "I was a little bit disappointed that after making a reservation our tables were not set-up for a birthday party as requested. I think they were also having problems with their system and several servers came to our table to ask if we already ordered food. when the food came, servers didn't know who ordered what. Not very professional. Also please note that the restaurant is extremely cold. I've been living in Florida for 14 years and used to the A/C. it was too cold to enjoy a nice dinner. The food was ok. Overall, not fascinated with this place. I will not go back for dinner. Perhaps we will try brunch next time and will definitely sit outside. "

  • "I went to the restaurant based on the recommendation of others and I was not let down. The food was good, the service was great. I even got a gift from the restaurant manager because I went on my birthday! Key Lime Creme Brulee was awesome! Crab cakes fantastic! Everyone had a good time. Just a little noisy otherwise very pleasant and enjoyable."

  • "Jaguar justified the long way from Broward to Coconut Grove. The menu is a patchwork of great dishes from Peru, Mexico and Brazil. Tiraditos, tacos and "Vitapa" coexist in peace...service is quick and professional and prices won't scare anyone. I made my reservation over the phone and the attention was outstanding. Parking is no a problem because the coco-walk parking lot is just right there and you don't have to deal with valet charges. Overall excellent. "

  • "We had lunch at Jaguar on Mother's Day so the restaurant was fully packed. We had made a reservation (which just gives you "priority seating") on Open Table and we did not have to wait more than 15 minutes, so we were very satisfied with that. Service was fairly slow, but as I said it was Mother's Day. Our orders came out correctly and the food was delicious. The tuna ceviche was divine, as were the crab cakes. My only minor complaint was I thought the margarita and glass of house wine were pretty expensive at $9.50. On the other hand, I thought the price of the food was very reasonable. Altogether a very pleasant experience! Would probably have rated the visit 5 stars had it not been a holiday and thus very busy and noisy."

  • "We went to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary and we were sat at a great table where my husband was able to see the TV (the NFL draft was on) and then moved to accomodate a larger party. Then, the main reason we went to Jaguar, to try the ceviche, did not come to fruition as after a 45 minute wait our main course arrived. The ceviche never made it. Very poor service. "

  • "Best Churrasco in town! My daughter and her UM friends come here often for it. I also had a sirloin steak for the daily lunch/dinner special and it was perfectly cooked with a nice LatAm spice and accompanied by a nice portion of tasty rice. Service is top notch. Ceviche Sampler for a table of 4 was a very good appetizer choice along with the free chip and salsa. Over all a great place for lunch, and in this case, a graduation celebration!!"

  • "I hadn't been in some time but I was very happy to be reminded about how good the food is and the service is truly excellent. From the delicious margaritas made with fresh ingredients to the homemade salsa and chips our dinner was off yo s great start. Then we ordered a couple spoons of the ceviche, delicious, distinctly different and a great sized appetizer, I ordered carnitas which was good but huge for me and when I asked to take it home they packed it up and added fresh guacamole plus a whole new order of their super yummy rice and beans. Jaguar has definitely moved up to my top restaurant choices. "

  • "A fabulous experience where you can enjoy quality fresh food. It was our second visit and I look forward to the next. I like the fact that there is only one Jaguar, it makes it all more special."

  • "This was our second time here. Went during past visit to the Miami area, 2 years ago, and wanted to return. Fun place, nice decor. Family friendly. All items were delicious. Fish was so fresh!! Our table had both Mahi Mahi and Salmon, and both were delicious. Vegetable fried rice dish was wonderful ...peruvian/chinese style, and so flavorful. We have always been happy at this establishment and would return again if we are in the area!"

  • "Jaguar is my go to ceviche spot. When ever I have people who come into town who want authentic ceviche I bring them here. I also enjoy happy hour complementary spoons."

  • "After reading so many good reviews I was waiting for a different style of restaurant. The service was horrible, and the food was ok but nothing to return to. "

  • "Jaguar Ceviche Spoon Bar and Latam Grill is a must visit restaurant in The Grove that is always "spot on." Jaguar serves a delicious a variety of freshly prepared ceviches and dishes from around Latin America such as the Mexico City Taqueria Platter, Brasilian Vatapa and Peruvian Chupe de Camaron. various grilled meats, seafood and vegetables, and thirst quenching drinks from a full service bar including Pisco Sour, Caipirinha, mojito, margarita, and house sangria. Happy hour specials include a free ceviche spoon sampler with each drink. Check out their other restaurant in The Grove - Peacock Garden Cafe, between the Sonetsa Hotel and Public Library."

  • "Ceviche sampler & the tuna - delish!! A bit confusing to get a grilled fish taco, but at the end they just brought me some lettuce to wrap my grilled Mahi Mahi inside- :):)"
    Dined on 4/11/2014
  • "The Ceviche Sampler. My wife and I made the unfortunate decision to split one. It really tested our marriage and our devotion to marital equity. You'll want your own. The Baha Fish Tacos were pretty good, too. But I have dreams about the acid cooked fish in those white spoons. Dios Mio!"

  • "Nice evening in Miami - sat outside which may have been a mistake as there is an energetic bar across the street. Ordered the black bean soup - got the lentil, it was tasty but only warm, not hot. Had the shrimp dish - shrimp were a bit overcooked, and again only warm, not hot. Probably not to safe serving temperature. Rice was good - fairly bland ingredients but matched nicely with the sauce from the shrimp. Overall experience warm - not hot. Too many other great places to eat in the area so probably will not return anytime soon."

  • "If I had to choose only one restaurant in Coconut Grove to go to it would be Jaguar. Very popular place. Great food, reasonable prices, service very good, nice wine list. Public parking garage next door."

  • "Frequent diner who always enjoys the freshest ceviche with best sauces to compliment at Jaguar. I have eaten ceviche at many places but this is my go to place always consistent."

  • "Even with a "reservation" we sited but the bar is fun and the mango mojitos make it go by quickly. All the food was outstanding. Try the ceviche of course and the grilled octopus was fantastic. Yum!"

  • "after seeing the great yelp reviews and after being recommended here by the hotel my wife and I are staying at for our honeymoon, we thought we would give it a shot. the ceviche was great, but the dinner specials were mediocre at best. the drinks we had (mojitos) we're not very good (tasted stale, not very fresh), and our waiter was as attentive to us as a 5 year old would be in cleaning their room. we had also requested to sit outside because of the beautiful weather and because it's our honeymoon - that wasn't even acknowledged. If we ever come back to coral gables, we will not be returning here."

  • "We had one of the best meals ever. I could eat here everyday ! Service, from reception to our waiter, Alberto, who was perfect, and spared no effort in making our dining experience a sheer pleasure. The food: soup of the day, a fresh grilled corn w/ a touch of jalapeño, mango avocado arugula salad, a grilled key west jumbo shrimp all amazing!"

  • "Jaguar is a funky place. The food (Peruvian/Mexican) is very good but not for the faint of heart. There's a good deal of spice in most things. We tried a variety of the ceviches and liked some more than others (los Cabos was the favorite). Grilled octopus was very good. I thought the lomo saltado was outstanding. It is very loud when full."
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "Everything about it was just fine, not great and for the price we expected a bit more. Service was slow, food was a little bland, sangria was okay. It was pretty and romantic but didn't wow me. There are other places I'd rather go for ceviche."
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "Incredible food and great service. This place is a great date night out! Ceviche was awesome!"

  • "Jaguar was recommended to us by a Cornell hotels grad . It was Fabulous we were warmly greeted, seated immediately because of our open table reservation and served hospitably . Service was attentive without bèing on top of us .suggestions from waitstaff were helpful and informative. All three of us had fabulous meals!! Can't wait to return"
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "If you're looking for large portions, this is the wrong place. If you're looking for good service, WRONG PLACE. The waitresses are awkward, forget to take your order, and take away things from your table before you're even done. For such a fancy place, with expensive and small portions, the waitresses are very unprofessional. I went specifically for the ceviche and was disappointed when the LARGE was really a small."

  • "The attitudes of every single staff member was fabulous. These people know their business. The hospitality was a10 from the front door forward. Great attentive knowledgeable staff. Vibrant atmosphere. There's something for everyone on the menu. Bar drinks were huge but really not so good. Pass on the sangrias too sweet.we didn't have dessert. We actually eent bsck a second night in a row, on Valentines Day without a reservation and they found 2 seats for us with no attitude only graceful assistance. I have to give these restaurant people their dues, and kudos for really understanding hospitality and food. Oh yea the chips & salsa were good too. Don't hesitate to go and enjoy! Bravo!"
