JaguarSouth of the border fusionDelightful dining experience. Spoons were fabulous, our meals were slurp- the- last- bit- from-the-plate. Wish I had had room for dessert, they sounded wonderful. It is SouthAmerican, Cuban, Mexican fusion with some very interesting and different subtleties. Actually better than authentic cuisine. The owner ( or one of them, I'm not sure) circulated constantly making sure every diner felt attended to, in addition to what the waiters were doing. Not that our Antonio missed a thing.
The only drawback was the lack of noise dampening. It was hard to hold a conversation and to hear the waiter.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentAs always, the food was great, specially the Chicken Tortilla Lasagna (my favorite). On this visit, my two sons were first timers and enjoyed the ceviche dishes.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat find!My wife and I were visiting miami, wanted to eat something fancy and different after a long week sunday night we found this place next to the coco walk. Must try their ceviche sampler "UMMM" great quiet atmosphere. Must visit...5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic!everything was great! the ceviche sampler was particularly delicious.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FoodThe service was slow but it was Mothers day after all. We arrived an hour earlier than our reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. The waiter wasnt as attentive as we wouldve liked but in his defense it was very busy and he was not rude. We saw him probably twice in the two hourse we were there. Either way he was nice. The food is worth it all though! My mom had a great meal and raved about it for the next two days!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food no parkingOverall the restaurant and food were excellent!
The parking was is different story.
No valet available and finding a parking space was a challenge.
Very discouraging.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceWe arrived a little late from my reservation time due to parking meter issues but the hostess was very nice and sat us down right away. I had been here once a very long time ago, so since we were going to the Improve in the Grove that night I suggested this restaurant to our friends and they did not let me down. The attention from the manager and the servers was on point and the food was very good. Our friends and us loved the entire experience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGo-To for a variety of situationsI live a few blocks from Jaguar and have found it to be our go-to semi-special occasion place. Whether its a friend in town, wanting a relaxing nice night out, or a little bit bigger of a group, Jaguar is a great option. There are a variety of price-point options and without drinks you can get out of there rather inexpensively. That being said, their sangria & mojitos are both excellent and should be ordered.
They also have most of their menu offered at lunch for $14 with a soft drink.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat surprise in MiamiMy wife and I were in Miami for 1 night. We found Jaguar through Open Table and boy were we glad. When we asked the concierge our hotel about Jaguar she said "mmm, delicious". We were not disappointed. Jaguar had an excellent array or latin inspired dishes - including Colombian, and Peruvian! Dinner was excellent and the flavors were exquisite! The drinks were also very well made. We highly recommend this restaurant for a great relaxed night out!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was second time. Food isIt was second time. Food is very good!! We will definatley be back!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstnding Food and greatOutstnding Food and great service, my 3rd time there will keep coming back3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMNot to be missedI found this restaurant by doing a search for gluten free restaurants in coconut grove. I called the restaurant in advance to ask if they would be able to accommodate me (I'm gluten and dairy free) and they reassured me they had many options available.
It was very busy and the restaurant was packed when we arrived. If you drive, park in the coconut walk garage since it is literally next door. We luckily had a reservation and were seated immediately.
I explained to the server about my restrictions and he told me they would be able to modify most of the items but needed to know what I was considering. I immediately asked about the ceviche. He knew exactly which ones were safe for me to eat. I ordered a medium Los cabos ceviche and3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways on the Dining ListEvery time when we stay in Coconut Grove we make a point to dine at Jaguar. The ceviche selections are exceptionally fresh and creative. Can't tell you about the rest of the menu because we always order our favorites on every visit - the Lasagne and the Crab Corn Cakes. And if you like Key Lime pie, then be sure and try the Key Lime Creme Brulee. Pucker up!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat overallWe have been going there for a while, the food is very good I recommend the lomo saltiado. Make sure you make reservations on weekend nights.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Latin CuisineLooking for great latin cuisine? Search no more. This venue was recommended by the Concierge at Doral Resort and has lived up to our expectations. There were 6 of us there and 3 were vegetarians. Not a problem. The rice and veggie platter was suitable for everyone. I had the scallops which were excellent and another colleague had the Mahi Mahi special. Nice tropical flavors, well prepared and quite reasonable. This could be a place I would come back on a regular basis. Very good service.2/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved this place and out waiter.Loved this place and out waiter. And we make it here often enough that we're recognized as regulars. Our adoration for this place is such that we believe it oughta be regarded as borderline legendary. It absolutely deserves to recognition as one of the Top10 restaurants in the Dade/Broward/Palm Beach tri-county area.12/1/2012 12:00:00 AM
