A word from Jado Sushi
Located in the heart of the "Fifth Avenue" in Harlem, Jado Sushi offers the finest sushi and Japanese delicacies with innovative twists, prepared with the freshest ingredients from local markets.

A sister store of popular wine store The Winery, Jado Sushi will also pay extra attention to the art of wine pairing with sushi. Carefully selected terroir-driven wines, artisan sakes, Asian-infused cocktails and hard-to-find Japanese craft beers are just some of the selection on the menu.

Whether you savor the fresh sushi at the sushi counter, or perch yourself at the full-bar for small plates with exquisite drinks, the experience will be unlike anything you've ever had before.

Diner Reviews
  • "I'm a regular here at Jado Sushi. The host, David, is so friendly and welcoming. Our servers, Mario & Jeffrey, are also very welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable. I'm not sure who the bartender was for any time we've been, but the drinks (especially the Hibiscus Pom Margarita) are ALWAYS good. If you didn't know, the happy hour starts at 5pm and goes to 7pm... 15% off WOOHOO! fyi- The bathroom mirror is great for selfies lol."

  • "Besides offering a great sushi and sashimi plates, which are my favorites when dinning at jado. They also have good drinks and sake. My favorite is the passion Mojito. Regarding the food I really enjoy the sashimi platter for $28.00 and the presentation is as good as it fresh taste."

  • "Reserved on OpenTable and requested a "romantic table in the back" and got the front table next to the windows. The restaurant was incredibly loud as well. I suggest that they put in noise absorbers on the ceiling, and tell OpenTable to withdraw the option of table seating requests."

  • "Jado is a rare find in Harlem. There are very few authentic Japanese restaurants in Harlem and Jado is one of them. The food was served in a very appealing way and the combinations were stellar. I will definitely return to Jado."

  • "Live in the building so was excited for its opening and have been returning ever since for the good food, fun drinks and stylish atmosphere."

  • "I moved to Harlem about 5 years ago and moved up from the West Village. I love it up here and food is really good when it comes to soul food, everything else was somewhat mediocre. There has been a slew of new restaurants open up in the past few years and after walking past Jado for a while, I went in and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Great atmosphere and great cocktails as well."

  • "We arrived at 715 and couldn't leave until 10:15. We could barely find our waiter and were told there would be 20 minute wait just to get a second round of drinks. Food was great when we got it but i was very annoyed by the wait. I am never going back. It's too bad."

  • "The service was the worst!!! After being finally seated at 8:45pm with an 8pm reservation, we didn't get to order until 9.15. Ridiculous. We ordered appetizers that didn't come for another 30 minutes and it was Sushi. Just bad. Then after nibbling on my appetizers for another 30 minutes, the Entrees still didn't make the table, and this was after asking for them 3 times. No exaggeration. We were so frustrated that we cancelled our entrees, only to be told "they are plating them now". I was left with no choice by to say "Please cancel them and bring me my check". To add insult to injury, the bill came with the entrees still on it and to be told "but they were ready so we charged you" No I didn't pay for them, but ridiculousness!!!"

  • "I lived in Japan 27 years. I must say this has got to be one of the best NYC sushi restaurants I have visited. Quirky, unexpected yet tasteful, elegant and understated... Two sushi chefs from different parts of Japan, a latin flare in the kitchen that comes across well in the food, and a cocktail menu that is original and tasty."

  • "It's incredible to watch the development of Harlem and to have expanding options for great food. Jado Sushi is outstanding in quality and is definitely on my list of places to take friends. The service was very friendly when I last visited but just a bit slow for the food to come out. Our waiter (Daniel) was wonderful. Congrats to Jado Sushi!"

  • "It is my new spot. I loved the food and the drink selection. I love that I now can go to an amazing Japanese restaurant without having to travel too far from home. The food selection was extensive which I appreciate. The owner greeted us which was a special touch."

  • "Here are the facts. The Spare Ribs appetizer was delicious! However, it came with my companions Cod... also delicious. My main course came after we were finished sharing the Cod and ribs. The waitress kindly explained that it was taking extra time. It came 20 minutes after the Ribs and Cod. When I got the Chirashi Sushi, the roe was sharp and bitter but the remainder was decent. I was hoping for better."
