Jacques BrasserieAlways a PleasureThis is by far one of my favorite restaurants. It never fails. The food is always so good and the service is always top notch. It fits all my needs. It's in my neighborhood, it's the perfect brunch, lunch and romantic dinner. I can't say enough good things.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMEarly Mother's day treatWonderful food and excellent service. the rooms are lovely with a rustic french feel. It can get a little too noisy at times but you cannot be critical of people enjoying themselves. Our family loved it.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMescargot to die forAnother superb lunch here, with the best escargot on the planet. Had eggs benedict this time, also among the best I've ever eaten.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a very quiet and civilizedWe had a very quiet and civilized meal, with outstanding attentive service. The food is great but the waiters and service really are the best.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAuthentic French CuisineI live in Brooklyn but am willing to travel to the Upper East side in the 80's to eat at Jacques. I have eaten there twice already and highly recommend it to my friends. Food is always delicious and the menu is varied enough to satisfy almost everyone. My most favorite appetizer is the goat cheese and onion tart and I'm not even a cheese person! If you want good hearty French food, Jacques is the place to go.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best on the UES.Jacques is a neighborhood staple that never fails to deliver. The mussels, tuna tar tar, frisée salad are our favorites but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSuch a pleasant surprise -Such a pleasant surprise - authentic brasserie with delicious classics and attentive staff. We loved the music and the crowd felt just right, not too young or old. We loved the music too - classic, jazzy, french standards. The front room is quieter with music more audible, which we chose of the noisier, more densely filled back room. We're recommending it to friends and look forward to being back.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe just loved every thing. We just loved every thing. the food was perfect and the service and people who work there are very nice. The menu offers just was a French food lover would want, especially the mussels.
It is very popular and very noisy, so try to go early to avoid the crush and the blast.2/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
