  • "A beautiful little gem of a restaurant in Inglewood with wonderful food andgreat service, even if it did leave my wallet whimpering a little. Highly suggest this place if you want to treat yourself or a loved one for a special occasion. Also, you can be seated in the window if you'd like. "

  • "This is a great place to eat lunch or if you are looking for somewhere new to go for your date night.. Gluten free options."

  • "A cold wintry day, not many customers for lunch, yet the one server just couldn't handle it. The presence of Suzanne saved the day by checking up occasionally. Quiet, nice decor in an old building. Food hand cooked and very good. I've been here before in the evening and it was excellent."

  • "We went for brunch on a Sunday at 11:00. The restaurant wasn't busy yet so we were seated right away. The food was ok, the service not so great. We had to ask for jam, didn't ask if we wanted ketchup, wasn't offered any choice in toast. The portions were good and the restaurant is right in Inglewood so great location. Also had a bit of an issue with our groupon so the overall experience was not as good as we had hoped."

  • "The brunch here is always fantastic, both the food and service. My only advise would be to bring a sweater if you go early as it seems to take a bit for the boiler to heat up. This is the second time that I ate with my coat on my shoulders upon arriving right at opening. But sooooooooooo worth it:)"

  • "When we arrived for our reservation at 10:05. There was only one server and two more arrived after we were seated and tied their aprons and fixed their hair in front of our table in a mirror. The kitchen staff was loud and swearing, there were no music, and no brunch menus. However, once all the music was on and the servers were ready, our food was great. They just seemed very disorganized but they apologized."

  • "In 2013 the name changed a bit - adding on Charmichaels - so we worried the restaurant had changed hands. Not so! The decor has been beautifully upgraded to black and grey with less lace but it was still as cozy as before. The wait staff was new so there were appropriate apologies but we were not disappointed - in fact we'll be back soon. My roasted chicken was amazing!"

  • "Went here for The Big Taste. The seafood crepe was salty, the salmon dish was blah. The there was to much sugar on the creme brulee it tasted burnt because it had such a think layer. Also order crab cakes off the regular menu and that was soggy and not crispy so it broke into pieces as soon as we tried to pick it up. Also, the service was really poor. The server we had seemed like she didn't really want to be there or just didn't want to serve us because we were just have the big taste menu. She didn't even bother asking what anyone wants to drink and we someone did ask her for a drink she still didn't ask the rest of the table. When we all were able to put in a drink order they took forever to come because they forgot about it."

  • "The atmosphere in the restaurant is good and the overall service is acceptable. All it takes is only one server to ruin our mood to the restaurant for lunch. His body language and his tone of voice communicated to us that he does not value us as customers. We were sitting beside the bar. A lot of time the servers were standing there with their behind right beside us. I would not go back again for the service. Overall the food is decent but the carrot cake no flavors and on the sweet side."

  • "We came for the Taste of Calgary, and enjoyed our selections tremendously. A bit noisy, but that's expected at times. Great food. Great desserts. Very full-bodied coffee."

  • "The Big Taste menu provided variety which was a plus when dining here. All items were very good. The service was dull however, and we only saw the servers when meals were served."

  • "First time Big Taste Experience at this restaurant. Good food – service was not the best. Waiter didn’t know the Soup of the day, (waitress did) did not provide us with a wine/beer list and we were ignored for 15 minutes because we were early. Differentiator over a return visit would be the service – not the food."

  • "They made my choice gluten free and my friend had the Big Taste special - both were wonderful. Service was excellent -attentive without pushing us as we were not in a hurry. We both loved the decore. And both said we'd visit again. Thanks for a great meal."

  • "The Big Taste menu was quite good, and left me wanting to go back and try this place again. I had the prime rib, which was cooked exactly as requested. The service was wonderful, and the two people who helped us were extremely helpful for one of our party who has a variety of allergies. Would recommend."

  • "Haven't been here in years and remember enjoying the food, atmosphere and service. We went for lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, the person who seated us made no effort to welcome us and made us feel like we were putting him out. Was not impressed (usually get very good service in Calgary). Our server was more pleasant but forgot spoons with our soup and then went back to get them and forgot again (soup was of course cold). She made more of an effort to be friendly but it seemed unnatural for anyone in that restaurant to be friendly. The soup and dessert were good. The main was average (nothing special). It seemed as though the owner of the restaurant was not there and no one cared about being there. Disappointed."

  • "I have been to this restaurant several times and the food has always been great - had the crab cake Benedict and it was delicious. The waitress was great, friendly, attentive etc. only complaint is that food delivery was very slow this time (for the first time)."

  • "The Big Taste menu was superb! Our server was less than enthused about his job, basically dropped off food and left. He kept mixing up our orders. My cocktail was way too strong, I could barely finish it. Maybe it was an off day or because of the Big Taste event. Oh well, I forgot about everything once I started eating my meal. Come here for good food, bring good company so you forget about the service!"

  • "When we came in the, the hostess was cheerful, the restaurant was busy with brunch-goers/Big Tasters and the venue itself was unique and fun looking. However, the food was bland and the presentation was uninspired. The chicken in the jambalaya and in the Crepe Suzanne looked and tasted like the pre-cooked/frozen variety from the grocery store. I won't be going back."

  • "My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for Calgary's Big Taste. We were seated just opposite the front door and I thought this might be an issue but it never was at all. The place was very busy but our service was outstanding we couldn't have asked for a better waitress. Helpful and informative. The selection for the Big Taste menu was great there was something for everyone on it. We both eneded up having the same thing. The caesar salad was one of the best we have ever had, the prime rib was cooked to perfection and was a great portion, the yorkshire pudding was huge and the vegetables cooked just right. Dessert was creme brulee and so far the best I have ever eaten. We never felt rushed and enjoyed ourselves and will be back."

  • "We went there for brunch on a Saturday and, although it was super cold out, there was a nice little crowd in there. The building is very charming inside and quite cozy. I had the low-carb Benny and my guest had the crab cake Benny. We both were super impressed, the food was incredibly tasty. The prices were good. The coffee was good. The service was very friendly and our server was knowledgeable and able to make some quick suggestions for me to further modify my meal to a truly low-carb fare. We couldn't have asked for a better experience."

  • "An amazing restaurant. I have been to many high end restaurants especially in London (UK) and the two times that I have dined at Jacqueline Suzanne's have been among the best dining experiences I have had. The seafood crepes are especially delicious. The decor is historical and creates a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit."

  • "The staff on duty were helpful but not very focused, I was happy enough with the food and the server was pleasant if a bit too casual in her demeanour. It felt as though the regular staff had been given the night off and the boss was away so they didn't need to be quite as professional in their approach. I have no major complaints and I was treated with courtesy but I just felt it slipped below their usual standards."

  • "Just starting to discover what Inglewood has to offer and decided to try out this little gem as it was highly recommended online. Did not disappoint!!!! We had a lovely and tasty lunch. Our server felt like we'd known her forever. But I really loved the decor and feel of J.S. Bistro. Very cool. Fantastic blend of vintage and modern. Plan on going back with other friends soon!"

  • "I took my girlfriend to Jacqueline Suzanne's Bistro for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, and we both agreed that it was the BEST fine dining experience we have had so far. The food was AMAZING, the service was OUTSTANDING and the ambience was a dlightful blend cosy/intimate and friendly/public. We are already planning to return there in future."

  • "My girlfriend suggested Jacqueline and Suzanne's Bistro and I'm so glad that she did. First points were scored with the online reservation option! Time is precious, and the fact that we didn't have to wait in a line-up was marvelous. The service was lovely. Pleasant and polite without being too invasive. My coffee was always fresh and hot, and my girlfriend always had hot water for her tea. We ordered the eggs benedict and requested gluten free, along with the soup. It was DELICIOUS! I can't wait to go back."

  • "We dined on Saturday night and enjoyed ourselves. The food was good but nothing special and not worth the price. My date had their four course Valentine meal (small soup and very small appetizer with main and dessert) and I had an appetizer and main meal. We each had one drink and coffee and tea and it came to $160 without tip. Seemed excessive when nothing was Wow. The best part of the meal was definitely my stuffed mushroom appetizer. If everything had been that flavorful I would have given it a 4 star."

  • "My husband and I met here for a Valentine's Day lunch and were left incredibly satisfied by the overall experience! The food was incredible. We both got the prime rib, I got the seafood chowder and he got the chef's soup (which was especially delicious). We shared the apple pecan raisin crisp for dessert which was very warm and satisfying. Service was very good and everyone we spoke to was so friendly and personable. Such a neat atmosphere too. We will definitely be back!"

  • "We went to Jacqueline Suzanne's for our valentine dinner this year and we were not disappointed! There was a choice of 3, 4 or 5 courses. Even though the appetizers looked tempting, we chose the 3 course option with soup or salad, an entree choice and a dessert choice. We had been here a few years prior for valentines day and the 5 course meal was too much food for us. The portion sizes were perfect in all the courses though and we were very happy with the quality of the food. Perhaps the only thing I might suggest is some spice added to the apple pecan crumble. The service was attentive and friendly. The wines available by the glass or half litre was impressive."
