First time, and they had very good food, but service was a little slow, although it was a Saturday night and the place was packed. With the noise and closeness of the tables, you have to be in the mood for this ambiance. The bar looked like a better bet for this type of spot.

We went for lunch on a Tuesday and it was pretty dead there (which was fine with us!) Very wide beer selection (not surprisingly.) The food was very good. They do have - or used to, anyway - a fun sing along on Friday evenings that we have been to before, so that's why I put Vibrant Bar Scene above.

I celebrated my birthday at Jacob Wirth on a Piano Sing Along night. Every one had a good time. The food was alright, but the apple struddle was excellent. The most important part is that it was fun!

I have been to this place dozens of times. It is a great place for sandwiches and general pub food. This time, I tried to treat it as a more fine dining experience. This was a mistake. The Sauerbraten and Jaegerschnitzer were pretty terrible. I'll go back for the sandwiches though!
