"This is the second time I've been here. I remembered it as a good place for pre-theater. This time the food was so-so (the steamed pot sticker appetizer had the pot-stickers stuck to the bamboo steamer in such a way that it was impossible to remove them in one piece) and it was very noisy."

We both had Tapas & Salads which were both very fresh & flavourful.

"I took my client there for lunch, the food was aweful.

The shrimp salad was horrible. The shrimp were tasteless and had teh consistency of rubber. In addition, this basic, rubber shrimp salad cost me $18!!

I will not be returning to Jack's, nor will I recommend it, unless they take care and pride in preparing their food."

"I booked Jacks for a pre-show dinner for my husband's birthday based on reviews and the menu. They were not busy when we were there.
The service was attentive but not too pushy like we have experienced in other nyc restaurants. We also were able to go at our pace in between dishes. We did ask to wait for a while between starter and main course, and they were very obliging and relaxed. Other NYC restaurants seem to deliver your main course just as you put the last mouthful of starter in!
The food was amazing...perfectly cooked. The wine list was good too...some good choice and nice wines not too expensively priced.
Very relaxing, good food, friendly service, reasonably price"

"Food was great, wine fabulous. Had a nice relaxing dinner with my daughter and was not "nudged" in any way to move it along, although there was a steady stream of customers."
