  • "I was greeted with a smile even though i was 30 minutes early for my reservation. The waitstaff were prompt to my table and took drink order and returned with soon with my margarita on the rocks and basket containing 3 varieties of warm bread and butter dish. I ordered eastern sea bass and my date ordered herb infused chicken. I was delighted with my sea bass which had a flaky and had an melt in your mouth texture. Although reading some not so good reviews and it being my first time there, I am no longer skeptical of the food @ JBs , very good margaritas, foods, polite waitstaff and great atmosphere with a red river view."

  • "The service is impeccable. You have basically two waiters waiting on you. One takes care of the bread, water, and plates/silverware. The other takes care of the food and wine. They work in tandom and between the two, you are well taken care of. The food is excellent. The preparation is near perfect. This would be a great restaurant for a special occasion. It is a little on the pricier side but we'll worth the money. Make a reservation and enjoy the food and service."

  • "I had the eastern sea bass it was simple yet delightful. I had a wedge salad that was so big I should have split with wife.she had the chicken which she loved moist and cooked all the way through , had an herb flavor which was fantastic.the Aug rating potatoes good . Creme Brule was good but I have had better I'm really critical of creme Brule.the shrimp appetizer was good really big shrimp. The place is a little expensive. , but when your server sings to you and your wife and she feels special it's worth it. Mr. Lenard Adams is the best server waiter in Shreveport Louisiana!"

  • "Always a treat to go to Binion's at the Horseshoe. Service is top notch and the Prime Rib can't be beat. Order the sides to share as they are family size. Of all things one of our favorite items is the huge bread basket they bring filled with Lavash, Zucchini Muffins, Garlic Ciabatta and hard French rolls. With the room temp butter and a galls of wine can leave after that. Also if you have never had it get the lump crab appetizer - huge lumps with a cocktail/remoulade sauce combo - will not be any better anywhere you go."

  • "My husband and I were looking forward to an enjoyable dinner at Jack Binion's because of our past dining experiences with this restaurant. We were looking forward to the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Soup. We usually order filets because they are always done perfectly but on this particular occasion I wanted to try the Sea Bass. It was wonderful. My husband who had ordered the usual steak. He was afraid the the fish would smell "fishy" but it didn't, he even tasted my fish and agreed that the flavor was wonderful but we both thought that the butter sauce was very salty. Prior to dinner we shared and enjoyed the cocconut shrimp appetizer and although we both had the spicy Ceasar salad we ended out taking it to go and enjoyed it at 3am!"

  • "This was our second time dinning there, both times have been for our wedding anniversary. Always great service and the best steaks and seafood. The dress code is wonderful- relaxed; So you can wear a Tux or shorts and feel fine. It is higher on the price scale than the Chain steak places, but a better price and steak than the local "Get Dressed" up Steak houses. So if you want a great steak, great service, fair price for the best quality, and want to wear jeans...this is the place. Even if you are not a casino or club type..great place to eat."

  • "We were there for our 40th wedding anniversary. I told Manager in advance and he made it so very special for my wife. He brought the present to her on a platter, served complementary chocolate covered strawberries along with ice cream drinks. The gentleman that sang to her "You Are So Beautiful" was awesome. It was a night that we will both never forget. We have been coming to the Horseshoe from the Dallas area at least 3 times a year for the past 8 years or so and this was the best experience ever. The food was great. The only thing that would have made our past 3 years of visits better would have been to win just a little bit. But, we always have a great time anyway."

  •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

Would just pick up dishes. Did not refill our water glasses. Did not put what we asked for in take home box. Waitress was exceptional. Prompt, cordial, checked on us often. She did a great job."

Bread could be served warm. 5 star prices with 3 star food. I prefer ruth's chris to get better tasting hot food. It is a good idea to have secret tasters check out the food coming out of the kitchen."

  • "For the third consecutive visit, the meal was disappointing. For the third consecutive time, the chef was unable to prepare the meat to the proper temperature (medium). Profuse bleeding when cut does not equal medium. The simple truth is is this; if the meat isn't properly prepared the first time it comes out, you can write the meal off as a loss immediately. There is no salvaging it. Unless you re-do the entire meal, by the time the "fixed" meat arrives, the sides are going to all be cold. And even if you re-do the entire meal, if you're dining with someone else, what do they do while you wait? Eat alone, so you get to eat alone when your meal comes? Wait for your meal come back and let their entire meal get cold? Not good again."

  • "The waiter was very helpful and accommodating. Even if something was not on the wine list or the menu, he still managed to fulfill our requests. The stake was excellent and so was most of the other food we ordered (the sweet potatoes were the only item we didn't like). The fried green tomatoes were my wife's personal favorite appetizer. The view for the city is really nice and the ambiance was quiet and relaxing. This is definitely not something we would be able to afford weekly because of the price but we definitely will return for special occasions."
