Diner Reviews
  • "Enjoyed our meal before going to a concert at the Horseshoe Casino. Food was excellent. Loved the large booth. Would recommend to friends."

  • "This restaurant did not compare to a place like Jeff Ruby or Ruth Chris and the prices were comparable. I would not return."

  • "This restaurant doesn't hold a candle to Jeff Ruby's or Mortons, both of which are within a short driving distance to the casino. If I am going to go to a steakhouse for great beef, Jack Binion's is not what I would choose. The quality doesn't meet my expectations of what a fine steakhouse should be."

  • "Before making the reservation I had read most of the reviews; I decided this might be a nice twist for a date night with my husband. Wrong answer. The hostess was very polite as we were seated immediately-8:15 reservation. Stevie, our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. However the noise level was so loud I couldn't hear a word she said. I was sitting next to my husband and couldn't hear a word. Our steaks were mediocre at best- I had the filet, my husband the ribeye. It was a terribly over seasoned on top and lacked flavor throughout. The best part was the twice baked potato- if you like mushrooms and spinach, the two potato is the best option. The mac and shrimp was good. The bread-blah. This not an upscale restaurant."

  • "The food was pretty good but a bit pricey for the quality. There was a group of 2 tables so loud and out of control that the table next to us got up and left. Our server was very good."

  • "Jack Binion's Steak offers very tender and juicy steaks, but be prepared to pay a price. Everything is a la carte. I enjoyed the steak, but the lobster bisque and spinach artichoke sides were nothing to brag about. The lobster bisque tasted water downed with tiny pieces of lobster (if you could find them). The spinach artichoke was a bit runny and overcooked. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but will only go back for special occasions."

  • "Overall a great restaurant, unfortunately the past couple of times we've been there there were a couple of rowdy groups but considering its located in a casino it's understandable. Server was nice and food was amazing my only issue was the amount of time it took the waitress to come back to us to refill our water."

  • "The table arrangement was not well thought out. Table chage option was not easy and friendly when we expressed our preference for the table change."

  • "Food, service and ambience ALL an Outstanding experience. One of the Best restaurants in Cincy!"

  • "Yummy food, loved the live music and great service. There were only two of us but they still had two servers waiting on our table. Crab cakes were outstanding, and my boyfriend enjoyed his steak. I do not eat much meat (crab cakes as a starter were plenty for me), but I enjoyed my salad and sides! I was impressed, will come back!"

  • "I have to say overall I was very disappointed in our experience at Binion's. This was our second visit and I was so looking forward to a wonderful meal. Our server was excellent in giving us the time we needed to choose a bottle of wine. However once we ordered our food it seemed to turn into a rush. Our appetizer was not even cleared and the salads were at our table and before we finished our salad we had our entrée. The entrée had great flavor but was served on a cold plate and therefore got cold quick. My husband was still eating when our server cleared my dinner plate and offered dessert. Now we know why the restaurant was not busy at all. Don't think we would go back."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "Our second dinner repeated our first experience. Great food and excellent service. The ambience is about what you would expect as part of a casino complex but the food and service make up for the surroundings."

  • "Our server Cinque was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable about the men items and very personable. The next time I come I would definitely request to be seated at one of his tables. The food was excellent - both at the restaurant and the leftovers at home!"

  • "I had a reservation for a Saturday night at 8:15 for a party of two, the hostess to us to a table for four and when we asked if we could have a smaller table we were told that they weren't available (even though we saw several). My sister-n-law and I had to sit at right angles to each other because we were unable to hear each other talk due to the noise level, we are use to the bar scene and some noise but we were looking forward to a nice dinner, if we wanted a party atmosphere we would have went to Margaritaville instead. Even with sitting like this we practically had to yell to talk to each other. Another waiter came and took our other two chairs, making us look even more awkward sitting like this."

  • "This was my first visit to Jack Binion and it won't be my last. They were on time for our reservation. The hostess was more than helpful and was able to answer our questions about the food items on the menu. Hostess also was very friendly. The wait for the food was not long at all. That was the best steak I ever had. It melted in my mouth. The mac N cheese dish with the shrimp was awesome. The only complaint I had was having to pay for water."

  • "Don't remember our servers name, we were on right hand side of dining room, in a booth near rear of dining room. Attractive girl, tattoo behind her left ear. She was very knowledgable, friendly, and always smiling. She took time to talk with us, even made reference to a vacation she had coming up in Vegas. I happen to be the Managing Partner of a nationwide steakhouse chain and would hire her in a minute. She made our dining experience."

  • "We figured that Jack Binion's would be comparable to any other casino fine dining restaurant, and were pleasantly surprised that it was better. Our waiter and assistant were very friendly, helpful and attentive, and our food was prepared exactly as we'd ordered it. Our only disappointment was that we'd ordered the Mushrooms as a side, and for the price, the portion was really small. We dined early, and enjoyed watching the comings and goings of the other diners as we took our time. We also enjoyed the lounge singer, who had a very smooth and calming voice. The volume was just perfect, and the choice of songs was interesting and pleasant to listen to."

  • "The restaurant was loud due to the band. It wasn't horrible, but the band made it difficult to have a conversation with the folks sitting at the table. Food was excellent."

  • "Saturday night outing to the Horseshoe & a comped meal @ Jack Binion's made for a great time. The food was superb and the service was outstanding. Beautiful soft music by the duo made for a great ambience. For those of you that have not tried this restaurant you are missing a treat."

  • "I had a bone in rib eye and it was Potatoes and the were undercooked and had more sauce than slices of potatoes. Service was great with music in the bar area. Ruby's and Tony's are much better if you are looking for a steak"

  • "I have loved going to The steakhouse at the Hollywood Casino in Indiana. The dinners I've eaten there have been wonderful. My dinner here was okay. The filet I had for $37 was not worth it. The meat was tough and frankly the rub on it wasn't very good. I also enjoy the side dishes at Hollywood much better too. Don't know that I would return."

  • "Randall, the server, was great. Food was also very good."

  • "This was a birthday celebration and went to try the steaks which were outstanding. Started with the cheese and meat tray which was very good. Décor is nicely done and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, wines, etc. A great experience overall."

  • "This was the second time we had eaten a Binion's and the food was as good as the first time... The first time was a Friday night, and it was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait for a table, and the service was realy good - The second time was a Tuesday night, and we were only one of a hand full of table, which was fine, except that the "lounge" singer was quite loud and it was disrupting our table conversation between three people... We probably wouldn't have minded the music and female singer, except for the fact that she wasn't really good, and was SO loud - there was singer and band on Friday, and it wasn't nearly as loud or annoying as it was on Tuesday. Food was good and one of the only places to get Beef Wellington -"

  • "My sister took me to Jack Binion's this past Saturday evening for a birthday dinner. We were very impressed with the restaurant, the food was delicious and the service impeccable. I had leftovers and dessert to take home, and our waiter said they would keep it for me in the refrigerator and I could pick it up on our way home. This is a service I've never seen before, and I was quite impressed. Overall it was a wonderful evening."

  • "Enjoyed the food and service. Steaks were great and prices reasonable for a top casino steak restaurant. Close to the tables for a fun time after dinner. Servers were knowledgeable and very friendly. Definitely worth a return visit."

  • "I think it is the best restaurant in Cincinnati. Great service and awesome food"

  • "Not a very busy night but service was still poor. Steak was preapred well. dishes to share was woefully light on content."

  • "The food was not as fantastic as I had hoped. The French Onion soup was too salty to eat. The popovers were burnt. The augratin potatoes were ordinary. Granted the steak was delicious and the lobsters cooked perfectly. But I expected the entire meal to be above average and it wasn't."

  • "I took my husband for his birthday The waitress was great and the food terrific. I will definitely come again."

  • "This is my second Jack Binion's steak house. The wine was excellent the atmosphere was great and my steak was cooked and seasoned like I wanted. Wait staff was great and was there when you needed them rather then overbearing. The only miss was the Jack's Wedge Salad it didn't have much flavor for me overall a pleasant night out."
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "Dining room is nice, although given the "view" they probably should put some blinds or curtains on the big windows. Inattentive wait staff. The place was clearing out while we were there, but our waitress was still non-existent for 20 minutes at a time. Wedge salad was average. Meatballs in the app were overcooked and dry. The gnocchi was good. The quality of the steak was good, although they undercooked mine by a bit. But it was coated in salt to the point that it obliterated the taste of the steak. We picked this restaurant because we could get a reservation. Next time, we'll wait in line for one of the other places in the casino."

  • "The Food was very good. Really enjoyed are server, but wasn't always around. If you are looking for a special evening out you may want to choose somewhere different. If you want to included your evening with the casino then its prefect. The price and the quality of the food would make you think you need to dress up but that is not the case jeans and work boots apparently are ok attire. The one thing that did confuse me is I was worried I would feel rushed figuring they would want us to go gamble but dinner was close to 3 1/2 hours long. The Beef Willington and the Beet salad were wonderful and the Banana Bread pudding was very good. FYI the bananas are socked in 151 and not cooked so if you don't drink you may want to avoid this dessert."

  • "We attended Jack Binions with great anticipation, I mean, we love our beef. I ordered the strip steak special and was pleased. However, my 3 companions had a different experience. One of the guys ordered a rib eye and there was a vein of sinew so thick that he had to pull the meat from it, the knife wouldn't cut through it. The other two, commented that this is why they buy their steaks from Costco. Meaning, that at least the quality is consistant."

  • "My title says it all. We were not impressed with Jack Binions at all. We have eaten at a few other high end steak houses in Cincinnatti several times and the quality of the food, and service are much much better. If Jack Binions does not make some major overall improvements then they will not last long. I wondered why when I made reservations a 4pm on a Saturday that I was able to get in to Jack Binions at 8:30? I guess I know now."

  • "We had dinner with my wife and got mix feelings about it. Overall food was OK. We got prawn shrimps for appetizer. They were outstanding. However "All In" salad we got was completely different from what was described in menu (different greens different dressing). Lobster bisk soup was good. Steak was OK, made up to desired temperature, but meat itself was too salty for our taste. Waiter was trying to compensate for food shortcomings. However during dinner time we had to ask couple time to bring us lemons, pepper In summary it deserves 3 stars.."

  • "I have been to Jack Binion's in the Louisville area several times and have always had a wonderful meal. My visit to the Cincinnati's Jack Binion's was my first and the quality of food and service was nothing compared to the other Jack Binion's. For $137 I walked away disappointed that I did not get my monies worth. The noise level from the lounge area did not lend itself to a quiet relaxing evening."
