Diner Reviews
  • "Looking for a great steak and a great experience for a night out. We found both at Jack Binion's. Our server, Randall, was outstanding and the newly hired, Andrew did a very good job assisting. My husband's porterhouse was perfection. My steak Diane was cooked exactly as ordered. The sauce was overly salted and I did speak to Randall, as an aside to the kitchen. I can not even call that a 'complaint.' Our evening out was an experience we will repeat at Jack Binion's. Thank you."

  • " I had dined once before and was impressed. This trip was the total opposite. French onion soup....the cheese didn't even cover the top, and below it was bread and broth.....no onions. wedge salad was just shredded letture, and one in our party couldn't finish his salad as it tasted almost spoiled. Took forever to get drinks, bread, (which, by the way, were hollow), or refills on the drinks. Steaks were average, at best. The slow service was especially surprising, as there were very few diners."

  • "We dined here for dinner before a concert at the casino. Server was friendly and seemed knowledgeable at first but when my dad asked about a scotch menu he said they didn't have one. When he handed us the dessert menu there was a full page menu for scotch and bourbon. Food was mediocre for price. I had sea bass which had great flavor but was room temperature not hot. Asparagus was very large, dry and also cold. My dad's steak was undercooked and he said it was definitely not the quality of meat he had anticipated. We would go back for the bar which seemed lively and fun but won't be back for the food."

  • "Food was great but the service was less than good. I have been here several times and this was the first time that I was not satisfied."

  • "2nd time to Jack Binion's. This place is becoming a staple for our visits to the Cincy area."

  • "Dinner was very good our steaks were prepared as requested and our waitress came over and checked on us frequently!"

  • "I always enjoy Jack's wonderful filet. There is a good selection of sides. Service makes the dining experience a pleasure."

  • "This was the first time I had ever been to Jack Binion's Steak house, but it won't be my last! The food and service were excellent. Ludowig our server knew the menu inside and out and treated us like VIPs. The steak was absolutely the best steak I have ever eaten. The prices were more than I normally pay, but we had left overs that made almost an entirely new meal for two of us. The potato was huge, so you only need to order one and share."

  • "We had a party of three on a Tuesday night for a 7pm reservation. The restaurant was not crowded at all. We ordered a mix of steaks and seafood, salads and one appetizer. The food was good and the server was friendly and did a good job."

  • "This was our first time at Jack Binion's and my husband and I both enjoyed our experience. Outstanding service, steaks done right and well seasoned, only complaint about the food was the asparagus was a little cool but very good nonetheless. Very unique and tasty bread. We'll happily return."

  • "Great Food, Fantastic service. Portions were very filling. No room for desert."

  • "This was our fourth time eating here and the food does not disappoint! The French onion soup was delicious. The three of us ordered the small filet and they were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. Tried the bourbon creamed corn and it was fantastic. The chocolate souffle was rather bland. The service was just ok. Enjoyed the live music coming from the bar."

  • "Previous experience at restaurant excellent. Different experience this time. Menu recently changed to our dismay- Online menu had not been changed-food we wanted was no longer available. Also baked potatoes were sold out. Server was very charming but overall service so slow. Haven't decided when we will give it another try."

  • "Caesar salad excellent with the anchovies.. porter house best steak for money..Baked Potato huge but for $9.00 it should be. Ice tea pricey at 5.00, next time will have a beer."

  • "King Crab was frozen and had to be taken off of billl. Brussel Sprouts were dried out. Espresso was cold. Service was relatively slow with drinks. View is of the jail behind casino. Priced as a 4 or 5 star, Dines like a 1 or 2 star."

  • "Service is okay, food is just okay, is not the benchmark of steakhouses in Cincy. Overpriced for what you get."

  • "I've been to Jack Binion's twice and both experiences were absolutely fantastic! It's a fun place to have a fancy dinner and hit the casino before / after. The food is wonderful - great seafood (oysters, prawns, scallops) and steaks. My first visit, I tried the scallops and they were wonderful. We also had these little potato 'poufs' -which were the talk of the table! The menu changed and they weren't available the 2nd visit -darn it! I tried the salmon and it was the best I've ever had and I eat a lot of salmon (so buttery and perfectly cooked- it melts in your mouth). Service is perfect - cannot say enough about this restaurant!!!"

  • "This place was not worth it unless you just won a lot of money and wanted to eat at the most expensive restaurant in the casino. Nothing offensive but nothing really above average."

  • "Jack Binions in Cincinnati recently changed their menu to include steak dianne which is my favorite meal. However, it is not prepared table side so I did not expect the perfection that I get at Jack Binions steakhouse in Indiana where it is prepared table side. I was so wrong because it was so perfect and delicious. My daughter said that the French onion soup was the best that she had ever eaten and her huge ribeye was also perfect. The three of us also had side dishes of creamed spinich, potatoes augrautin, creamed corn and sweet potato something. We loved the side dishes except the sweet potatoes which were very flavorful but were greasy due to being deep fried. We had 3 desserts but was not impressed. Dinner is expensive but worth it."

  • "We love the food, my steaks are always prepared to perfection and one server has been as good as the next. We love stopping in after a night at the casino and plan to come again soon."

  • " Bone in strip and sea bass were fine; pesto so garlicky it was inedible (luckily it was on the side). Brussel spouts were undercooked and flavorless, even with balsamic glaze. The drinks were made well and while there was no dessert we could eat due to food allergy, they brought some berries "on the house". The biggest problem with the restaurant is that at 8 PM on a Friday night in a casino, there were 4 tables....4 TABLES....of guests. The place was virtually empty on what is considered a busy restaurant night. The food is quite pricey for the quality. In the end, both my husband and I felt that this would not be somewhere we would think of coming back to for a good steak, but with the lack of business, we may not have that choice."

  • "I took my daughter and a friend to Binion's the other night for dinner prior to a boxing match. With so many good restaurants in Cincinnati initially I wasn't sure I handmade the right choice, but that all change. From an extensive wine list, to our well trained wait staff we glided through dinner. Each of us selected the filet and we were not disappointed, the meat was done to perfection. Everything else is served a la cart, with portions large enough for the table. The evening was a great success thanks in part to our wonderful meal. I plan to dine there again in the near future."

  • "Lobster side was overcooked. Baked Potato was undercooked. Lobster/squash bisque was below average. Bone In Ribeye did not have much flavor. Filet Mignon was a little overseasoned, but the meat was okay."

  • "Reservations at 5:00pm Saturday. Seated promptly, and our wait staff met us to take our drink orders. Our waitress was very affable and pleasant. The special was NY strip with seafood topping. Ordered 3 saints wine to accompany the meal. From start to finish, the meal was well presented, plated correctly, and served as ordered. Our steaks were prepared to exact specifications. Our wait staff checked back with us multiple times without being interruptive. All-in-All, a very enjoyable experience. "

  • "Read the reviews - most good, some not so much. Had heard word of mouth that it was a good place w good food, so tried it out prior to a visit to the casino. The food was very good -- filet, grilled asparagus, salads. Steaks cooked perfectly, with good flavor. Food was worth it. The service was not bad, but not great. Had to ask if we could place a drink order. Our salad plates sat on the table alongside our entree plates for the entire meal -- was pretty obivous, so not sure why our server and asst didn't ask if they could take them. All in all, a nice dining experience. The manager came by to ask how things were -- that was a nice touch. Will be back."

  • "We have been to the casino many times since it opened last year and kept saying we would go visit Binion's for a special occasion. That happened to be our 8th wedding anniversary on 5/6. We were seated promptly at 7:30 when we arrived. However at 7:50 no one had been by our table to take our drink order. I would have been a little more understanding had the place been packed however there were only 3 tables of guests that evening. Finally our drinks and bread came, the bread was over done and basically no bread at all but muffin shaped crust with air inside. our order was taken at approximately 8:10 and the food came out relatively quickly considering. The steak was good, but i have had better tasting steaks at Longhorn. wont go back "

  • "While the meal was satisfying, for the price I would have expected better. For me, I will stick with Jeff Ruby's for a great steak."

  • "I've eaten my share of great steaks but the steaks here are certainly top shelf! My wife and I selected the Bone-In Rib-Eye, med-well. Incredible! The large portion sides were decent; no grand slam. My steak was so good it didn't even matter :) I made reservations online. In the notes section I informed them I was celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary. The server really helped make it special even presenting us with a fancy, delicious, cheesecake! Be careful not to blow all your money on slots, this experience doesn't come cheap."

  • "I was taken to dinner at Binions for my birthday. Service was spot on. Steak was cooked perfectly. I can't say enough about the chocolate cake. Great way to spend my birthday. The house band was very good as well. "

  • "This place has me torn. The food was wonderful. The service... For what I was paying.. Was lacking for sure. Live jazz music added to the ambience , just stead clear if a romantic dining experience is what your looking for. "

  • "The service was very good and the staff were very attentive. The special was NY strip with lump crab, bernaise sauce, mozarella and tomato was pretty good. The sides that we tried were the creamed corn with a wonderful breadcrumb crusting and potato puree (mashed potatoes) which was also good."

  • "Went to dinner with my wife, brother and his wife. This was our first time at the casino and restaurant. It turned out to be an awesome night with great food, wine, and entertainment. We live in Cleveland and frequent the casino there and they have not on-property restaurants like this one. Kudo's on a great venue!"

  • "If you wanting to drop a couple hundred dollars on dinner for you and your significant other, there are much better steak houses in cincinnati where the servers and managers are professional and attentive. This place lacked any resemblance of a fine dining establishment. It wasn't clean, organized or romantic. We won't be wasting our time here again. "

  • "This restaurant is great and we enjoy going there. Noticed you asked about "kid friendly". Please keep this restaurant kid unfriendly! Love the atmosphere. Not sure how you would do this but it would be nice if customers would dress better, more reflective of the ambiance of Binion's. At least baseball caps could be asked to be removed during meals. Binion's is fine dining not a truck stop."

  • "This restaurant doesn't hold a candle to Jeff Ruby's or Mortons, both of which are within a short driving distance to the casino. If I am going to go to a steakhouse for great beef, Jack Binion's is not what I would choose. The quality doesn't meet my expectations of what a fine steakhouse should be."

  • "Before making the reservation I had read most of the reviews; I decided this might be a nice twist for a date night with my husband. Wrong answer. The hostess was very polite as we were seated immediately-8:15 reservation. Stevie, our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. However the noise level was so loud I couldn't hear a word she said. I was sitting next to my husband and couldn't hear a word. Our steaks were mediocre at best- I had the filet, my husband the ribeye. It was a terribly over seasoned on top and lacked flavor throughout. The best part was the twice baked potato- if you like mushrooms and spinach, the two potato is the best option. The mac and shrimp was good. The bread-blah. This not an upscale restaurant."
