We decided on this neighborhood gem. The lamb chops were divine and the cornbread was more like cake. The shrimp curry was a burst of flavor. I'm not the biggest fan of the rice and beans, but my friend encouraged me to pour some gravy from the chicken stew over the rice. Lets just say, this was the perfect combination. The cabbage was seasoned just right. Add the sweet plantains in and my taste buds were treated to a culinary excursion. Music and friendly faces. It feels a bit cramp but it just forces you to. Make nice with your neighbors. The music was great. A variety of items can be sampled from the menu. Noise level was great, didn't have to shout to talk to others in my group. This time the wait was 15 minutes but the other times it was almost an hour. The group next to my table had a 8:00 p.m. reservation and did not get seated until my party was seated at 10:00 p.m.
Also, need to make sure that they have enough menu items throughout the day, like cocoa bread wich is a favorite of many patrons.
