Diner Reviews
  • "The food was good. What I missed from the last time I was there was the peel and eat shrimp. This was not available this visit."

  • "An old friend came to town and I suggested j Liu's (Worthington) for brunch. I have been to to J Liu's for dinners and lunches and the food was always good. A great place for Sunday brunch. A very broad assortment of food, including omelettes made-to-order. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Food was good, atmosphere was pleasant. I would recommend it."

  • "My experience at JLui's was great , great atmosphere, great service and it was a really big restaurant. Food was good for an Asian Bistro."

  • "Menu could have been a bit larger with more red meat selections."

  • "Nothing really wrong just not exciting. Decore was aged and unusual; like from the Jetsons. The lobster bisque was wonderful. The main dish was not to my liking (sauce too spicy hot) although my husband enjoyed it...we ordered the same dish. I would not go back. Waitress was friendly and somewhat attentive. Bar area seemed more active and with outside light more attractive."

  • "A couple of old, dear friends met me to celebrate my 60th, yuk, birthday! We had such a great time. I really enjoyed the atmosphere & the staff could not have been any friendlier or efficient!!! The food was wonderful & the dessert worth the calories!! I did not think the prices were high at all & the portions were more than enough. I have told everyone about the really nice time we had & can't wait to go back."

  • "Our group of four people all enjoyed our meals. Portions were generous and the service was very good. We tried this restaurant because it was in the Prestige Dining book, and it was our first time for dinner here. We will return. Very pleasant waiter who was attentive and the food was served in a timely fashion. We would recommend this restaurant to others."

  • "For those who love Sunday brunch, this is perfect. Reasonably priced, attentive service, nice selection of food items. We always end up being seates in bar area so I'm not sure about dining room experience."

  • "I didn't care for the Pad Thai, but it was better after I sent it back for the crushed peanuts that hadn't been put on the top. It wasn't spicy at all, and it wasn't hot enough in temperature, either. My husband got the pasta with the shrimp, sausage, red peppers and tomato cream. This had perfect spice, was yummy, but was also not hot enough in temperature. The flavor of the lobster bisque was fantastic, but it was luke warm. Luke warm soup is NOT good. It was a Thursday evening, and only moderately busy. Your martinis are overpriced by about $2.00, and your wines by the glass over priced by about $1.00 in general. I would never buy alcohol at your restaurant because of this, it's a waste. Server was fantastic. Monica, I believe."

  • "Had a date night with my wife and we really were pleased that a new restaurant for us worked we for us. The food was exceptional and we look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu. Our waiter was very helpful and always at our service when needed. I will certainly bring business clients back in the future."

  • "Both my boyfriend and i work at a high-end restaurant; and we were both so pleased with the friendly service & quality if the food we received! My requests were noted and followed to the letter. The evening was totally stress free and the ambience was perfect. The staff did everything they could to make our evening special- and it most definitely was! My boyfriend and I will definitely be returning soon!!"

  • "The food and service was very good. I was a little disappointed that even after making a reservation that we were sat in the bar area instead of the dining area. The noise level was very high and took away from the great food. Next time I will insist on a table in the dining area."

  • "Overall our experience was positive. The selection of food items is decent, with some different items than you usually find at other Sunday Brunches. The only concern I had was that we had made a reservation for 1:30 based on our schedule and the fact that the brunch hours were listed until 2:00. I received a call on Saturday to confirm our reservation, but then Sunday received another call informing me that 1:30 seemed late for a brunch reservation and asking it I would rather move the time to 2:00 and order from the lunch menu. I think the restaurant should make it clear on their website that the 2:00 PM time is a hard stop. Perhaps they should post a last seating time of 1:00 or 1:15 for the brunch. and not accept later reservations."

  • "Food was wonderful, Our server, Kyle, was great. However, evidently, they have a policy that when they are not busy, everybody assists everybody else. Ordinarily, great policy. But the server that brought our food was not Kyle and did not know our situation. Consequently, the entrees were brought way too soon and we had to send them back to keep warm until we were ready. So, they tasted warmed up. Not Great."

  • "My husband and I both had the beef medallions and nearly licked our plates clean! Best we've had! Asparagus and mashed potatoes delicious as well. My meal also included scallops which were also great and had a yummy cream sauce. Too expensive to go often but we will try to find another excuse to go again."

  • "We had requested a booth in our reservation, but instead were seated at a table beside a closet/elevator door. Our server, Alexis, was extremely unfriendly, and slow/unattentive. The food was perfect, the host staff and food runners were friendly. As a server of 13 years myself, I try to be understanding. However, because I am a server, I rarely get the chance to go out to dinner on a weekend night, let alone Valentine's Day weekend. Our server's attitude and poor service kind of ruined our night. We will probably be back, because we love the food, but we'll be going to the Dublin location from now on. Also, I contacted the restaurant through their website to inform them of our experience, but have yet to hear back from them."

  • "As a special occasion outing, the experience left us cold. We arrived on time for our reservation (Saturday evening, after dinner rush), were sat at a table near the kitchen entrance (where 3 or 4 staff members were gathered talking immediately next to my right shoulder), asked to be moved to another table that turned out to be a oblong booth we both needed to scoot around to be seated AND across from the front door opening. Each time someone came in or left a 9 degree draft entered the entire entrance and along the foot of our table. Service was slow (10 minutes to get a glass of house wine?), the food was good, but service and attention to detail seemed rushed when we were served dinner before either of our salads were finished."

  • "Did not realize the menu would be shortened for Valentine's weekend. There were very good choices on the short menu, but I was looking for the walleye..."

  • "Great spot for happy hour and work/social gatherings. Appetizers are great selection, outstanding service"

  • "Valentine's Day dinner. Service was good. Food was'nt. The stir fry vegetables that were part of her walleye plate were so salty that we had to ask for a replacement. That was only slightly better and it she could'nt finish it. Heavy salt and sauce on everything is not what we expect of Asian based dishes. My steak with crusty parmesan was also too salty but I did finish it. We suggest light seasoning to ensure that the flavor of the actual food is retained. Overpriced based on what was received. We've been to the Dublin location a few times for brunch and everything was excellent, so if anything we'll stick with that. (I tried to make up for the bad dining experience by taking her to Graeters for dessert.)"

  • "I noticed there was a change in the menu since the last time I had visited the restaurant, but I was not disappointed. The Elderberry Martini was phenomenal and so was the Margherita flat bread. I would definitely recommend!"

  • "My girlfriend and i went out after work to celebrate the ending of a days work. We both had a drink at the table. The Food was good. The stir fry had a different taste. Neither of us really liked the Stir Fry sauce. I had Jasons General Sos. Very Good tasting and portion size. The owner stopped by to say hi, which was short, Hello! and he was on his way~! :) I would recoomend getting Jasons or Sisuan Chicken. I have no idea how to spell that. hahah ive heard Pies chicken is good as well but i have not tried it. Upscale, and wont break the band : ) Plus the facility is beautiful~!!!!!!!"

  • "First strike was that they didn't have everything available on the restaurant week menu. I decided to order off of their regular menu. Given the prices, I assumed it would be decent. I ended up with their seared tuna over rice topped with ceviche. Sounds good, right? It was one of the worst meals I've had in a restaurant. The rice was so dry that I don't think birds would have eaten it. The tuna was overcooked and dry. The ceviche was halfway decent but not good enought to mask the rest of the meal. I was with 7 friends who did order off of the menu. The only one who enjoyed his meal actually asked for a different preparation of the meat then was on the menu. Some of my friends said they felt horrible all night from the food. Never again..."

  • "The restaurant advertised 3 entrees on the restaurant week fixed menu. On Friday at 7:00 PM, we placed one order for the short rib -- the most expensive entrée on the fixed menu. We were told they had run out and were forced to choose a lower priced option. Meanwhile, tables around us who got their food after us received short ribs. This restaurant obviously wanted to control the number of expensive entrees they had to provide in the fixed menu. If you are going to advertise a menu for restaurant week, you should have enough of the advertised entrees and not try to control costs. Classic bait and switch. When we complained to the manager, we were offered his business card as a way of rectifying the situation."

  • "The only thing good about our experience was the food. We were sat a half hour past our reservation, it tooknten minutes for our server to greet us and another ten to get our water, which was brought out by the manager who assured us that our server would be over soon. Another ten minutes passed and our server took our order and our soup was brought out shortly after. It didnt take too long for our dinner to get there and when it did it was delicious. I just wish our server had the time to be a little more attentive and not feel the need to apologize every time he came to the table."
