  • "I've eaten at both the Dublin and Worthington J. Liu locations. This was the first time I had eaten on the patio at the Dublin location. The patio is situated right on 161, and it is SO loud. I chose the patio b/c the weather was so beautiful, and we have to take advantage of any nice day we can get in central Ohio. However, the traffic and loud trucks passing by really put a damper on the experience. My companion and I felt like we were practically shouting to hear each other. Food and service were fantastic, but I probably would not choose to sit on the patio at the Dublin location again."

  • "Service was slow. I ordered a stir-fry entrée from the RW menu, but it arrived cold. They reheated the same food (rather than remake the dish), but the side of rice became cold while I was waiting, so I ate some of my husband's meal (not on the RW menu and actually very good). The waitress offered to take my entrée off our bill, but this didn't happen. Since the RW menu was only $20 and proceeds went to charity, we didn't make a big issue of it."

  • "My husband and I had brunch at J Liu this past weekend and decided it was a great way to kick off our Sunday. From the warm welcome when we walked in the door, to the exceptional service table side, and the amazing food, it was fabulous! From the little make your own parfaits served in mini martini glasses, to the exceptional prime rib and chocolate covered strawberries, we loved every second. J liu is our favorite Sunday brunch, hands down!"

It would be nice if Happy Hour pricing extended to the patio as the bar area is always filled up and not suitable for larger parties. Overall the experience was great and we always have a fantastic time."

  • "We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed all of our entrees along with the wine! Towards the end we felt a little rushed when the server took my fiancé's plate while he was still working on it. I had asked the server to box up a couple of the entrees we did not finish, she only came back with my dads meal boxed up and when I asked where my short ribs were she said she threw them away. She explained she was going to take some things off the bill and when we looked at it she only took off $10.00, I figured she would at least comp my meal since I had only eaten a little bit of it but that wasn't the case. We will still return, I just wish more was done to fix the mistake."

  • "My GF reserved a place for us for my B-Day. The menu is bland, our food wad disgusting I mean absolutely disgusting! Worse experience I have ever had at a so-called upscale restaurant. We don't like to make a fuss, so we didn't ask to return our food but it was obvious because we had only taken one bite each of both of our meals. The food was under and over cooked respectively and how do you screw up a hamburger I mean come on? I wouldn't send anyone to this place, even if I was starving and this was the only place open, i would go without. How are they still in business? Utterly disgusted and disappointed!"

  • "It's puzzling to me why this restaurant is so popular. Food and service are unimpressive. I should have known we were in trouble when I ordered a Tom Collins and got some greenish drink in a short (vs. highball) glass with a lime on it instead of a cherry. It tasted more like a Margarita, not a Tom Collins. Our two appetizers were OK, but the waiter should have let us know that the chicken lettuce wraps came in a portion large enough for four people. Several pieces of meat in my Pad Thai entree had gristle in them and were inedible. The waiter forgot to bring bread. I asked the busboy for chili oil and he never brought it so I had to ask the waiter. My husband ordered the special Mahi Mahi; it was bland and cost $32. We won't be back."

  • "I have dined at J Liu more than 15 times and enjoy the varied menu. The prices are reasonable compared to some other high end Columbus restaurants. My personal favorite is the appetizer of mussels. The use of jalapeno peppers with the mussels adds a unique flavor that I have not found elsewhere. I can heartily recommend the restaurant."

It also seemed like there were some extra tables added in, but pretty much every place does that for a holiday. Overall, everything was good and I'd go back again anytime. "

We tried Mongolian beef, good flavor but too much sauce, and too sweet for our taste - beef was fatty. Also tried the smoked pork chop special - chop was delicious, but potatoes were luke warm and seemed as though they were cooked too many hours before. Great little area - I'm more likely to try something else in the neighborhood."

  • "My husband and I decided on J Liu for his birthday dinner since he had his heart set on the Scallop risotto. When we arrived, the waitress, as always was friendly, energetic and excited to be at work. She advised us of the special, prosciutto wrapped salmon on portobello mushroom risotto and grilled aspragus accompanied along with a demi glase (can't remember the type of glase). It was to die for. They've given the new chef free reign to come up with specials and this one should be on the menu. Seriously the best salmon I've ever eaten. I would give the chef 6 stars if I could, probably more. His dish was worth more than the $28.00, would have paid much more for the quality, taste and presentation."

  • "This is the third year we have enjoyed Easter Brunch at J. Liu's in Dublin. There is not a huge selection of food, but the food is definitely a couple steps above your traditional brunch fare. The addition of Asian dishes is a nice change. The carved prime rib was perfect. J. Liu's in Dublin is also a great place for everyday lunches, particularly on the patio."

  • "We went for a birthday celebration. Our group included adults and children. Everyone was satisfied with their dining selection, although the oldest grandchild said that they didn't make their kids' meals big enough (growing boy). We even got a free dessert for the birthday girls, which was enjoyed by all. Very noisy but not surprising for a Saturday night. The owner stopped by and chatted for a few minutes, which was nice of him, especially considering how busy they were. "

  • "Since I had no idea of what to expect since an old friend from high school had picked it to meet at, I was pleasantly surprised that it was a pretty nice place. It was a little loud in the bar area, but once we moved to a table to eat it was a moderate noise level. The food was very good, I had a blackened salmon special that was perfect. I wish their wine list was a little more extensive, or at least had less of the California wines on it and more of the better wines from Italy or France. Service was good, the waiter even took a picture as my friend wanted one. Overall, I will go back in the future because the food was very good."
