  • "If you want good food, J.Gibert's is the place to go. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the side dishes are creative and delicious. Our server left something to be desired. He did not think they had horseradish at a steak house?? Then told us the chef would try to whip some up for us?? It was like he was trying to rush us, like taking our plates when we were not finished ect... He might have been new, but kind of soured my Birthday dinner. Usually the service is top notch. Still, we went away full and happy with our meal."

Not a good steak selection and the filet was thin and not good beef flavor and texture. Scallop potatoes had way too much butter in them. Still a way to go when compared to their competitors."

The food was outstanding, our appitizer was amazing, don't recall the name, however it had fennel jam, poached pears, a lovely cheese and dried beef, such a great balance of flavors. Steaks are to die for! Also the service was great!! Having worked in the resturant industry for many years I am very critical when it comes to service-our server did an amazing job!! It is a bit exspensive, however, if you do the fixed menu option, (you get your choice of salads or soup, entre' and dessert) it is not bad at all. Look forward to visiting again!"

Our waiter was most accommodating and pleasant. Our request for a (relatively) quiet corner table was honored so that we were able to carry on a conversation with our friends. I have no suggestions for improvement."

  • "We asked for Jason B to be our server, he makes the evening. Jason arranged a great booth overlooking the restaurant and kitchen. All four of us ordered the prix fixe meals which gives you three courses and a pretty good deal. Their Maryland crab bisque is very good and shouldn't be missed. If you like salmon definitely order the plank salmon it was delicious and plentiful. I ordered the grilled veal chop and the left overs were great the next day. My sister and husband ordered the fillet and scallops and each were prepared perfectly. Desert was creme burlee and chocolate velvet cake which we managed to eat with glee. The whole meal was fantastic and Jason is a true professional making sure our evening went perfectly."

  • "This is one of our favorite Restaurants. The servers and greeters are so friendly, that before you even order you feel so good about being there. They always try to give us a booth...as we request. Then the food comes and it is out of body experience, every bite is better than the last....The Caesar Salad with the white anchovy's is so delicious, they always give us a few extra anchovy's , because they know we love them. The seafood is so good, and the steaks are even better. We always love going to J.Gilbert's, and will go back soon."

The wood fired steaks have awesome flavor and the crab cakes are 99% lump crab and just delicious. Everyone in my family has their favorite items and going to J.Gilberts is always a treat."

  • "My husband and I were here for Valentines Day and cannot say enough to how good our experience was. From the moment that we arrived until the time we left was simply wonderful. The front staff is very welcoming, our waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was great. My husband had the filet mignon and lobster tail and I have the scallops and lobster riscotto. I would definitely recommend this restaturant for anyone who is looking for a place to go for any special occasion."

  • "Took the wife here for our Valentines Day Dinner and it was excellent. I had oysters for an appetizer and scallops for my main course and both were excellent. Topped it off with berries and cream for dessert and left feeling full! I would say a must try is their special oak aged Manhattan! Wife had the spring mix salad and a filet, I helped finish the steak and it was tender and delicious. Probably didn't need a knife. The atmosphere is cozy and upscale and our server was very polite and so were the food runners. An overall pleasurable experience."
