"The food at Gilbert's is excellent, especially for the price. I had the 6 oz filet, caesar salad, and mushroom risotto. The steak was grilled perfectly, and the salad was crisp with a good amount of dressing and wonderful paresean cheese. I definitely recommend it."

"We started going to J. Gilbert's in December 2011 not long after it opened and have recommended it to many people. Not only have we continued to go back, but so have they. We hope the restaurant flourishes. It's a great place to go because the food is so good, and consistently good. They also accomodate special requests with no problems. We love the service and the atmosphere at the restaurant and think it's top notch."

"I own my own business often working 85/95 hours per wk. and I reallly don't have time to dine out much but when a close friend told me about your resturant and ranted and raved about the food and ambiance I just had to try.

"What an amazing find. Went for Easter Sunday night dinner and it was great. First of all our server Ben was the best,friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had appetizers which were fresh and the presentation wonderful. Drinks are great. We enjoyed the bone in ribeye, KC strip and Salmon. All wonderful. This place will give the other steak places a run for their money in St.Louis. Entrees come with 2 sides so it is pricey but not as bad as the places where everything is extra."
