  • "Everything was perfect - Our dinner was delicious and and waitress was very attentive."

  • "This was my two guests' first experience at J.Coco's. They enjoyed it immensely -- the hors d'oeuvres, entree and oh, the desserts! received high marks. I am sure they will return as will I."

  • "The dining room is very elegant. The food has nice standbys but with something extra, so that the reuben uses red cabbage, and the cobb salad an interesting dressing. Everything fun. Wait staff was attentive but not in your face. Great for a business lunch. Better with your spouse."

  • "We've not been back in awhile. It is one place we are never disappointed. Food, specials, cocktails, friendly staff, presentation...all were terrific. Was great to see familiar staff again. We will definitely be back. One of our favorite."

  • "Great food and service. Great intimate atmosphere for drinks out or a great dinner. Emily started us off with handcrafted coctails and Erna picked great wines for dinner. Excellent food. You will not leave hungry. We had two dinner specials (fish and steak) that were delicious. Fun and energetic staff. Great restaurant!"

  • "While dinner at J Coco is always special, the quality of lunch is sometimes so subtle that halfway through, someone interrupts the conversation to say "wow, this is great!" Parking can be a challenge. I parked a block away on a neighborhood street. It was well worth the short walk, which, in reality, is no further from the front door than the walk from a parking lot to restaurants downtown or in midtown."

  • "Went to J.Coco on my 40th bday in June. Made reservation online - might have been better to do it over phone so they might have mentioned they had a lovely patio (I had no idea - first timer). When we arrived & asked to be seated outside, the hostess seemed VERY put out. Both hostesses were unwelcoming and snooty, actually. In any case, we were lucky - a table suddenly left and we were seated outside. Lovely atmosphere. Loud ambulance/fire trucks went by twice in the 3-4 hours we were there. Our nice, knowledgeable server warned us that may happen (UNMC nearby), but it wasn't a big deal (even for my migraine-prone friend) as they go by quickly. The food, wine & dessert were fantastic. I'm no foodie, but all four of us loved every bite."

  • "We loved food at the Flat Iron when Jennifer was the chef. This was our first trip to J Coco's. We went w/another couple to celebrate anniversaries. The drink and wine menus were good, esp the Manhattan. We had the olive appetizer - good for four, esp enjoyed the fried olives. Salads were OK. I like kale, but not a great addition to otherwise good Caesar salad. Duck breast and beef medallion dinners were hits - very good. Would order again. My friend disappointed in the veal - proclaimed it "just OK" and would not order it again. I had the roasted chicken with goat cheese. A little dry and almost no goat cheese. Accompanying squash lasagna was way too salty as were brussel sprouts. Cauliflower was OK. Will give it another try."

  • "My wife and I have been here several times and have found the service and food to be very good. The everyday menu has sevaral good coices but they always have a couple of specials too"

  • "We went with friends for drinks and appetizers, (I'm in live with the fried olives!) and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We now wished we would have just stayed for dinner, as we were out to try a new restaurant after appetizers. "

  • "Wonderful appetizers, the "old fashioned" cocktail was terrific. The house salad dressing was my absolute favorite. Will be back."
    Dined on 6/4/2014
  • "An excellent lunch location - food/menu combinations creative, well presented! Desserts tempted us, thankfully. Service attentive and not "pushy" - we could take our time and socialize with fellow guests, and yet meal was done in a timely manner! Will return again ASAP."

  • "I visited Omaha for business and stopped by J. Coco's for dinner one night. My GPS had a hard time finding the place, but once I arrived I was in heaven. I ate at the bar, so I started off with a yummy cocktail (I can't recall the name, but it was perfection served in a copper cup). Instead of an appetizer, I ordered a delicious wedge salad. For my entree, I chose the featured special of the night: sea bass served over vegetable won tons. Amazing! I tried something sweet afterwards called Fat Pants. I only had a few bites, but it was wonderful. During my meal, I met Jennifer Coco, the chef and owner. What a friendly lady! You can tell she's passionate about delivering a remarkable dining experience. The mgr., Steve, was THE best, too! Go!"

  • "This was our second time at J. Coco's, and it was great both times. We were a party of four and would all go back."

  • "Jennifer is a world class chef. This restaurant would stand strong against any of the worlds greatest gastronomical towers."

  • "Our food and service was excellent. We did have one hitch - when I booked online I said that I wanted a cake for a 50th wedding anniversary couple that would be dining with us. This did not happen. The staff did a good job of pulling something together instead."
    Dined on 5/30/2014
  • "Wow, the sea bass special was a treat. We ordered the meat and cheese tray to start and it was middle of the pack as far as restaurants bold enough to have meat and cheese trays. The sides were done well- the bacon Brussels sprouts were much better than most and the roasted cauliflower was great. I would recommend this place to foodies and go for items no typically found. Definitely reservations required. These guys were packed."

  • "We chose J Coco to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. It was a fun and romantic dinner for two. We enjoyed the olive appetizer with drinks; shared the Artisan green salad; I had the special of Chilean Sea Bass which had the most wonderful sauce (Asian influence); my husband had the ribeye which was done to a perfect medium rare and then we had the dessert of chocolate mousse with fresh berries encased in a thin dark chocolate shell so it looked like a cupcake. Scott was perfect. He was our waiter who had eyes in the back of his head and radar senses in anticipating our needs. It was an evening for the senses...fabulous. "

  • "My food arrived cold. I sent it back and they microwaved it and returned it to me which dried out my pork tenderloin more then it already was. It was over $25 for my entree and they manager barely even apologized. "

  • "This was truly one of the most unique blend of flavors we have experienced! I tried the brussel sprouts and loved them.... I usually will not eat brussel sprouts. Loved, loved, loved the lemon cheesecake with lemon curd!!"

  • "This is a first class dining experience. The food and presentation are outstanding and as good as we have experienced in Omaha. The service was also excellent. The only down side is the noise, it was loud. We look forward to returning as some of the menu items are unusual and definitely worth coming back for."

  • "Although this restaurant is not close to my home (about 20 minutes away), I love coming to J. Coco's. The food, presentation and ambiance is outstanding. This is a favorite birthday, special occasion destination for me."
    Dined on 5/2/2014
  • "J.Coco did not disappoint. It did take too long for our appetizer to arrive, but the entrees were outstanding and the waitress was wonderful. She even comp'd the birthday dessert!"

  • "Was disappointed with our food. Heard great things, but medallions tough, pork so- so, lamb so-so. Liked the purple carrots. It was very busy. The waitress next to our table was fabulous. Ours was ok. Would describe the place as a loud neighborhood hangout. Will try lunch next...."

  • "This is one of our favorite spots for dinner in Omaha. My husband loved the sea bass, I had the spinach salad with salmon, it was a little heavy on the dressing for me. Great adult beverages and desserts, too. We urge others to support locally owned restaurants!"

  • "The food was delightful and the specials were delicious. The salmon was well prepared, and the risotto with my particular dish was rich and creamy. The flourless chocolate cake came out warm and was divine. After 9pm the lighting was lower and with it the noise level decreased. Romantic atmosphere, especially after 9, but beforehand a great place for small groups. "

  • "My husband and I met another couple on a Saturday night using opentable for our reservation. Our table was ready when we arrived. The cocktails were fantastic. We ordered the dates and cheese plate for appetizers and they were delicious. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered a ribeye. They were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very friendly. This was my third visit to JCoco and I have yet to be disappointed. "

  • "Couldn't have asked for a better birthday meal with my close friends! Food and drinks were great, some of the best mussels that I have had in Omaha yet! "
    Dined on 4/16/2014
  • "Food was delicious! I had a burger with a side of the MOST AMAZING brussel sprouts. But the total for the bill for $30... so if you want good food and don't care about how much you spend- this is your place!"

  • "I had been to J. Coco's twice before and the food was always good. I took my husband there for a belated Valentine's Day dinner since I had been impressed by the food. The waitress was prompt and helpful. The menu was different than the last time I had been there, but we both found things we liked. I had the Chilean sea bass special with sake and Asian pot stickers -- it was wonderful. The fish was prepared perfectly. My husband had the shrimp and grits, and he ate all of it. It was very rich, but he really liked it. The only downside is that the place is somewhat loud since there are a lot of hard surfaces, but not so loud you could not enjoy yourself. We will definitely go back."

  • "I have had the pleasure of dining at J Cocos approx. 5-6 times since they opened up for business and it is one of my favorite restaurants in the Omaha area. The food is always fabulous and so beautifully arranged on each plate. I thoroughly enjoy the wine selection including the nice variety of wines by the glass. I tried a wine that I had not had before called Bonarda from Argentina and loved it! I am always so impressed when a waitperson asks me if I would like to try a sample of wine first especially if it is a type of wine that I have not tried before. I appreciate the fact their menu has a fair number of choices but not so many it takes all night to decide on what to order. The service has always been outstanding!"
