Food highlights: melt-in-your-mouth comte cheese fritters; slow roasted salmon; flavorful sauces for filets esp. chardonney beurre blanc; delicious, lighter than normal cheesecake that pairs well with the tangy sweet rhubarb sorbet; very sweet and yummy passion fruit pavlova with excellent merengue.
Didn't love the asparagus risotto - did not have the rich creamy texture I expect, and the lemon was heavy-handed. Also the caramel ice cream had very little caramel taste, and was not as smooth and creamy as it should have been.
Scenery was beyond compare. The quality of the food is consistently good as ids the service. Whilst it is expensive, the setting for a restaurant in a hotel is excellent. I ate from the Arizona Restaurant Week menu whilst my dining partner ate a la carte. Amazing service, steak cooked to perfection, and very tasty sauces to add to the steak. The side dishes were great, especially the potatoes au gratin. The shrimp salad is one of the best salads I have ever tasted wit the dressing they have. We had the tuna tartare and it was good. My only comment was that the ginger sauce was too overpowering for the tuna. Only negative was bread that comes to table was not soft but rather hard and dry. Hubby had veal steak and it was great. I had the halibut and again a success--tender and cooked perfectly.
